WHAT: April café log! Daily café life, now with poetry reading on Wednesdays and live jazz (by local clubs and bands) on Friday nights!
WARNINGS: Mark your own! None expected, except for one Vorkosigan son harassing his father with ridiculous orders.

It's springtime! While life for the imPorts is never uneventful, Cass does her best to keep the café going without a hitch. We're open for business as usual, and this month we have a few twists!

• tshirts! -- Your character can now also purchase their very own Lucky Cat Tshirt; a percentage of tshirt proceeds go to supporting local animal shelters. Additional colors are available.

• Poetry Appreciation Month -- Wednesdays evenings are reserved for poetry appreciation. Do you have a favorite poem you really want to read out loud? Or perhaps one you wrote yourself? You can also simply have a seat to be an audience for a nice, quiet event.

• Jazz Appreciation Month -- But Fridays are for music! Cass is inviting local groups (both native and imPort) to perform for a coupld hours. Maybe you're one of them! Maybe you're just here to listen. If you have gig information or merchandise you want to keep on display, go for it.

• Spring Items!! -- There are spring motifs all over the food this season. A lot of cherry blossoms and strawberries and matcha (available through May!) I really like googling food pictures for this cafe, so click through these links for the sorts of things you can find ~~they're so fucking cute and i'm gonna die~~: ＊＊＊＊＊＊＊

WHEN: March 5
WHAT: In one way or another they're getting to DC and having a picnic to celebrate. What are they celebrating? It's Minato being alive, but it's okay if you want to just eat the food. ~~the cherry blossoms aren't even in bloom yet but we're gonna pretend~~
WARNINGS: Possible mentions of canon character death but probably nothing serious. If bad things are about to happen Jaime's gonna go take care of it.

[Anybody who is friends with SEES, especially with Ken or Minato, has a chance of having had this event mentioned to them. Details about how they got here aside, today SEES and friends are gathering under the cherry blossoms and having a picnic! The reason? For those who know, it's a promise made by SEES before their last battle back home, but for those who don't, if they ask they'll just get a shrug and a smile and a "it's Japanese tradition." Come enjoy!

Thanks to Jaime hitting up Cass there are lots and lots of food. And dango! Exactly how much? Enough. There's tea, water, and juice to go around, too! Somebody probably brought along a box of Apples to Apples (Ken has a box), foam footballs, and plastic frisbees for both man and dog.

WHAT: ImPorts attend The Perestroika Seminar to receive mandatory training and brainwashing. Need a quick recap? ImPorts will be able to distract themselves with their mental link on the network during brainwashing videos, and imPorts who possess a strong will will be able to resist being successfully brainwashed. [ Minato belatedly realizes he should perhaps do his job. He's only heard encouraging things about how Tetsuo's been doing from Ken, who surely of anyone would know, given their past history and the fact they're living together again... but his conversation with Mr. Edgeworth had pointed out to him that he should be more proactive.

All the insanity of the occupation this month had put that off, but Minato is here finally, letting himself in and seeking out Tetsuo. If he's not here today, well, he's just going to try a different day. That's the sort of person Minato is. ]

Or you can make this a few days post-move in after he's gotten settled. On a daily basis, he occasionally cooks something simple and offers some to whoever's home; does his homework at the dining table with his headphones on; or practices violin in his room. Thankfully, he's pretty good, so it's not ear-splitting.
