WHEN: Nov 14
WHAT: Hook has magic powers. It's about time he learns to use them.
WARNINGS: Will add as needed!

[Hook's been here for a few months now and all he's managed to work of his much-touted powers is the ability to turn water into rum.

Admittedly, once he had that one down his motivation had gone down a lot. Having constant access to rum will do that to a man. But the incident in the corn maze has taught him he'd like to be able to do more. He very much doubts this is the last he'll see of adversary around here, and though he's proud of how capable he is with a sword... having magic could be an advantage.

The one problem? He has no idea how to make it work.

He waves his hand out over the water.] Move. [The water does move, but only in the never ending flow of the tides.] Come on. Change. Shift. Do something. [The water does not oblige him. Hook groans and throws his hands down, turning his back on the water.

There's another power he can try, but he doesn't trust it. He has a feeling he'd hit the pavement long before he could even think of a semi-decent thought, let alone a happy one. No, flying's right out.

He turns back to the water, staring out at it as though the ocean's personally offended him. Maybe he should just work on the rum trick again.]
