WHO: M’gann and YOU!
WHERE: Heropa, Nonah, and De Chima
WHEN: Backdated to June 8th, going all through the day
WHAT: M’gann arrives in Heropa, and decides ADVENTURE and exploring is the best response. And remains a staunch Earth Fangirl even when on a different Earth.
WARNINGS: None here!
1. MORNING [HEROPA]Okay, new location but not TOO different from Earth. She’s gotten the information she needs, and M’gann tells herself that she can handle this. Just blend in for the moment, and do her best to act casual while exploring the town.
There’s just one small problem with this plan. Her body feels… weird. Almost like it has a case of the hiccups. Any time she changes her breathing (and given how many amazing new things there are to gasp over, it happens more often than she’d like) her appearance gives a flicker. Nothing horrific
yet, but the skin on the tips of her fingers has swapped between caucasian, green, and lilac so far.
By all reason she should take this slow and easy… but the fact is, it’s a new
Earth. And even if she’s feeling a little weird in terms of shape, M’gann is ready to explore as much as possible, and do some mimicking along the way. She can start with learning more… but she’s faced with a small problem in deciding where to do that learning. A movie theater she can just glimpse? A cafe with TV that’s talking about the news? Just lingering around and observing?
She does her best to stick to a relatively out of the way spot under a store awning, but still looks plenty bewildered. Once a hover car rushes by on the street, she also has to try and get her fingers to turn back to peach colored instead of bright candy apple-car red. No one saw that, right?
2. AFTERNOON [NONAH]There are perks to arriving on a new planet with a Bioship. It makes exploring a lot easier, and that is exactly what M’gann intends to do. By purely arbitrary decision (and a faint hope of a slightly cooler climate) she heads north. There’s locations she hasn’t heard of, and “Nonah” has a strangely pleasant sounding name. Equally arbitrary is her decision to land there.
There’s a relatively quiet section of town to land in, and she can cloak the Bioship as she takes it down and parks it on a roof. Hopefully, possibly, no one will bump into the invisible ship up there. (OR see it land; the camouflage isn’t perfect and does distort the air, and M’gann just has to hope no one was looking up right when she landed.)
A heartbeat later she’s in civvies, back to caucasian, and on the ground, able to look at the storefronts. As she pauses in front of one and looks at the food on display, M’gann has already decided what her mission will be for the next couple of hours. Figure out how to make such tasty looking
hotdogs. They don’t look exactly like the type she’s used to… but that just makes them all the more enticing.
And naturally she’s going to quiz any passerby, if she manages to catch their eyes.
“Excuse me, you’re from around here right? Do you know about this restaurant, or those things in the window? How do they taste?”
3. EVENING [DE CHIMA]Sundown and a darkening sky finds M’gann in yet another location, still doing some exploring… and a little bit of work on the side.
She
was brought here to be a hero, so what’s the harm in starting a little early? Besides that, patrolling cities and looking for trouble is something that’s gotten surprisingly normal for her. She stays smart and sticks to the roofs of the city, however. She also keeps an eye on the surrounding air space for any other supers that might be out. (And might possibly have some pointers for how to fight crime and not irk any government types.)
Besides that, she gets to go
flying again, finally. It feels good to put her arms out and cut through the air all on her own, and weave between buildings and thread thin alleys as she looks for trouble. With just a few minutes of that under her belt, M’gann thinks she spots
something; a mugging, or maybe another super out on patrol. It’s hard to tell in the dim light, and she dives in to get a closer look.
