It starts off on March 4th, the early morning before the sun's even risen. You know those weird mirages that were hanging around the day before? Well now it's getting a little personal.

These mirages come and go seemingly for no reason. They might stay for a minute, they might stay for an hour. The images vary between person but the unifying factor is that the mirages consist of people the player characters have hurt, whether people in-game or from their homes. Whether they murdered them, slandered them, or even had a petty little argument, the unifying factor is the guilt each character feels towards or about this mirage. After all, you know you hurt them somehow. You know their existence somehow makes you feel guilty.

Another unifying factor? The creepy way these mirages just seem to stick to you. They'll follow you if you try to leave, staring you down with their creepy unblinking mirage eyes. And whoops: everybody can see said mirages. Hopefully you're not being stalked by someone you and somebody else both know, wouldn't that be awkward?

Mmm! The Cat's Eye serves quite a bit of Japanese food. I go there nearly every day.

[ Adachi's mirage might still be right behind them, but at least Viktor's distracted Adachi enough to put it from his mind for now. ]

[ For the moment, yes; Adachi was nice and distracted. So much so he didn't realize he was holding onto him a little tighter. ]

Hunh, didn't realize that. I just always dropped in for coffee and ran in the mornings.

I did the same until I came in for lunch one day, and there it was! Yuuri was certainly happy too.

[ He is okay with this. Once they get to the place, he's happy to slide into a chair, a grin on his face. ]

I take it katsudon's his favorite?

[ Viktor tries to angle them to a table that has space behind the chair Adachi takes so he can turn his back to the mirage at least. Viktor slides into the chair opposite. ]

Mmm, it is! IT also makes him super strong here too, like Superman!

[ Adachi didn't even notice what Viktor was aiming for, or the fact that "Dojima" was clipping through the chair behind him. ]

Wha-- for real? That's a fun super power.

I've been wanting to try to have him eat some before we skate. Think of the lifts he could do with it during skating!

[ Adachi let out a snicker at that. ]

He'd probably throw you out of the rink.

[ Viktor laughs with him. ]

As long as it surprises people, I wouldn't mind!

It would definitely get attention, especially if you had the power to fly back or something.

Aww, that would have been great, but unfortunately I don't have powers like that.

Bummer.

[ Now that he thought about it, he had no idea what powers Viktor ended up with. He thought to ask him, but decided against it. He didn't advertise his powers; if Viktor wanted him to know, he'd tell him. ]

[ For now, there was katsudon to be had, and a waiter coming by to take their order. ]

[ It's too bad they can't order sake or beer to go with their lunch though, ah well. He places his order, requesting the largest size bowl they have. ]

Ah, that reminds me ... what sort of powers do you have anyway?

[sleight_of_hand]

[ Adachi couldn't help but grin at the large order; he guessed a skater could pack it away pretty easily. He didn't comment on it though, instead letting out a faint noise at being asked what his powers were. Maybe he could mindread? His Persona hadn't gotten antsy like he did around Dooku, so... probably not the same if so. ]

Sharpshooting and endurance. Great for a detective, hunh?

[ Persona talk could come later, when he got to know him better. ]

Wow! Those really are good ones. Is it endurance like for distance running or is it more general?

A little bit of everything, I think? I was going almost nonstop through the blackout with only a few hours of sleep in between, and I've taken a pretty bad beating here before. I haven't really tested the full extent of what I can endure yet.

Impressive! That might come in handy when you start to work out again.

I have a feeling I'll need it.

[ He coudn't help but chuckle at that. ]

Speaking of, when do you have time for that?

Oh, I do it every morning except Sundays. Did you want to join me?

[sleight_of_hand]

Sure; it'll give me an excuse to force myself on a schedule.

[ Because it was kind of crap at the moment: wake up whenever, work until lunch, eat, nap, work until he passed out, then repeat. Sometimes setting your own hours wasn't a good thing. ]

Oh, mind if I bring along someone? A kid I know has been looking into getting stronger too.

I don't mind at all! The more the merrier.

[ Adachi relaxed slight at that, a small smile coming to his face. ]

How old is she? And do you know if she's worked out before? It might be a little intense for her if she hasn't.

[ Adachi scrunched his face up in thought. ]

She's... probably early teens? But really thin and light; I tossed her onto my shoulders pretty easily once.

Hmmm ... I can probably come up with some modifications for her, things that some Junior skaters would do when they're starting out.
