Heropa has always been a pretty imPort-friendly city, but the energy in the air surrounding the Heropa Convention Center seems to be taking it to the next level, with lines of enthusiastic people snaking around multiple blocks surrounding the gigantic building. One glance at the enormous banner draped over the side of said building makes it clear what all the fuss is about:

To celebrate 5 successful FanPorts, FanPop, organizers of the aforementioned convention wanted to do something special and give back to the community. They've teamed up with the Center for Advancement & Protection of Endangered Species (CAPES) to throw the biggest, craziest gala of them all.

No. No. This is not how things are supposed to go. All the information they gave him, all the assurances they made, don't mean anything to him. This is not the Earth he cares about keeping safe.

How did he even get here? Was his father not satisfied with him being banished to Hell so sent him here? That can't be it; not even his father can arrange travel between universes. Is his mother behind it somehow? Is this what she made of the universe he sent her to? That makes no sense either. She never much liked humans. She wouldn't have populated her universe with a bunch of them.

So how did he get here? And more importantly, how does he get back where he came from? There has to have been some kind of mistake.

Maybe someone in one of these buildings will be more helpful than the people he's already talked to.

A nightclub

Just because he's stuck here doesn't mean he can't enjoy the time he's got until he finds a way home. Or to what passes for home now, at least. And luckily for him, he lives in a city with a vibrant night life. Night life is his favorite part of any city.

A very expensive three-piece suit might not be what most people wear to a nightclub, but it's what he's got right now. Anyway, it is what he wears to a nightclub. And a crime scene. And just about anywhere, really. He'll just have to be careful with this one because it's the only one he's got right now.

He has every intention of making full use of the dance floor, but first he's going to start with a drink. He makes his way up to the bar and adjusts the cuffs of his sleeves before leaning in and ordering a whiskey, they best they've got. He doesn't have the money to pay for it, but that's a problem for later.

[So, sometime during the last week, you might have seen a transmission go up on the Network. It opens with Darin's face, close up to the camera. He appears oddly subdued.]

So, here's the thing. The last...let's saaaaay month and a half? Yeah, month and a half sounds about right...

So, the last month and a half? Not been great for people. I've seen it. I'm sure you all have seen it. Even a guy like me is starting to feel it in the air, you know? We're all just tired of weird and terrible things happening.

So, I have a proposal for you.

This weekend. The beaches of Heropa. It's time for a mini vacation. I'm talking fun in the sun, swimming, relaxation on the beach, and all of the delicious food you can eat, courtesy of...

[At this point, Darin dons a pair of radical wrap-around shades and backs away from the camera to show a massive custom built grill.]

[He fingerguns at the camera.]

That's right, all the food you can eat, on the house, paid for by me, Darin Altway. We've got hot dogs, we've got burgers, we've got steaks, we've got veggies, we've got fruits. I'll be manning the grill personally! All imPorts and civilians are welcome! Bring your hottest swimsuits, some frisbees and volleyballs, anything you want, and lets all just take a day and freakin' relax!

And if you don't think you need a day at the beach, I'm calling you out. You do. I better see you there!!
