WARNINGS: Traumatic memories. Possible talk of murder, death, blood, other nasty things. I'll try to update if the warnings needed but please use content warnings if it gets super nasty!

It starts off on March 4th, the early morning before the sun's even risen. You know those weird mirages that were hanging around the day before? Well now it's getting a little personal.

These mirages come and go seemingly for no reason. They might stay for a minute, they might stay for an hour. The images vary between person but the unifying factor is that the mirages consist of people the player characters have hurt, whether people in-game or from their homes. Whether they murdered them, slandered them, or even had a petty little argument, the unifying factor is the guilt each character feels towards or about this mirage. After all, you know you hurt them somehow. You know their existence somehow makes you feel guilty.

Another unifying factor? The creepy way these mirages just seem to stick to you. They'll follow you if you try to leave, staring you down with their creepy unblinking mirage eyes. And whoops: everybody can see said mirages. Hopefully you're not being stalked by someone you and somebody else both know, wouldn't that be awkward?

[he laughs boisterously and obnoxiously.]

[ Oh hell no. This guy wasn't the quitely obnoxious drunk that Dojima was, or the funny obnoxious drunk that Viktor was. He was just obnoxious and he had standards when it came to his drinking buddies. ]

I'd say you're already five sheets and one fruit cake to the wind.

[ And he'd had enough dealing with it; Adachi pulled his private investigator badge, letting it catch the light a little. ]

Now do I have to call you a cab home, or are you gonna walk outta here?

[archie watches that badge for a moment, then bursts in a slightly quieter fit of giggles.]

Oh, Arceus! You tryna' put me under citizens arrest or some shit? Come on, bro, I'm not breaking any laws havin' a fun time.

You're being a public menace, and that is grounds for arrest, especially if the owner complains.

[ He gestured back at the bartender. Granted he wasn't sure if he was the owner, but he was fairly confident loud and drunk wouldn't know either. ]

Wh-- no, I ain't! I'm just havin'-- Damn, I gotta drink to forget some shit and you're tryin' to harsh it!

[he gestures in annoyance.]

I'm not gonna fuckin' hurt anyone.

[ ...big guy like Archie, gesturing violently, cursing and shouting? Adachi, like any cop, reacted accordingly. He took a step back, moving his jacket just enough so that it was obvious he was a concealed carry card holder. ]

All right, sir. I'm gonna give you your last warning. You're going to need to leave, please.

Yeah, now who's the one being a threat?

[he scowls at adachi, but he's not about to act out and get his stupid, perfect ass shot.]

Can I pay, or are you gonna do that for me too?

[ Adachi paused at that, making a face, before glancing back at the bartender. Just looking awake for a second totally wasn't a rookie mistake, right? ]

Put his bill on my tab.

[HAHAHA SUCKER archie leans back, giggling into his hands while getting up off the bar stool. stumbling slightly.]

Alright, date! Lead me out! [he holds his hand out.] Be a gentleman.

[ Adachi nearly jumped out of his skin when the big guy moved, only to end up giving him the most deadpan of deadpan glares as he held his hand out to him. It was a moment before his hand shot out, grabbing him by the wrist instead and hoping the idiot was drunk enough that he wouldn't be able to keep him from twisting it behind his back and force marching him out. ]

[adachi do u see these rippling muscles he is covered in

pull all you want little man, his arm isn't going anywhere. hold his fucking hand you asshole.]

[ ...he was going to have to ask Viktor if adding strength training to his workout was an option. Adachi huffed, but like hell he was taking this meathead's hand. He was just going to have to deal with being tugged out by his wrist. ]

[he's just CACKLING BEHIND YOU, adachi.]

Jeez, you done or are you plannin' to take me out back behind the nearest shed? That was way too much of a performance for someone who was mildly annoyed. C'mon.

[ Look, sexy grey haired men apparently make him question his sexuality, and Archie is niether. Adachi made a disgusted face, hauling him out the door and trying to use some of the momentum to flig him away from the building. ]

Just go sober up somewhere, meathead!

[oh the flashbacks to college...]

No can do, twiggy. I had a goal for tonight and that ain't come to fruition yet.

[ Oh for the love of-- ]

Then buy some booze and do it at home. Where it's safer for everyone.

Yeah, nah. I live with a 16 year old.

[not that he sees hunk around that often, but it's the principle of the matter more than anything.]

'Sides, I told you I'm not gonna hurt anyone. Why would I? You're bein' stupid about this.

Oh that's just great. You're the pinnacle of responsibility.

[ Adachi let out a huff, finally giving up once he dragged him a fair distance. ]

You're drunk. You saying you're not going to do anything means shit. Go be miserable somewhere else.

[ Now if you'll excuse him, hopefully no one flitched his beer. ]

Hey, he's a smart kid! He doesn't need me or anything, mate.

[which archie is more than okay with, seeing as hunk doesn't like crobat.]

This ain't the first time I've ever been out on the town. First fuckin' time some uppity... [gesture at adachi.] you decided to intervene, though!

Nice insult.

[He literally couldn't be any more sarcastic. ]

Just remember an uppity me is around next time you want to cause problems.

[ Adachi forked a thumb back toward the place. ]

[he stays where he is, crossing his arms.]
