WARNINGS: Traumatic memories. Possible talk of murder, death, blood, other nasty things. I'll try to update if the warnings needed but please use content warnings if it gets super nasty!

It starts off on March 4th, the early morning before the sun's even risen. You know those weird mirages that were hanging around the day before? Well now it's getting a little personal.

These mirages come and go seemingly for no reason. They might stay for a minute, they might stay for an hour. The images vary between person but the unifying factor is that the mirages consist of people the player characters have hurt, whether people in-game or from their homes. Whether they murdered them, slandered them, or even had a petty little argument, the unifying factor is the guilt each character feels towards or about this mirage. After all, you know you hurt them somehow. You know their existence somehow makes you feel guilty.

Another unifying factor? The creepy way these mirages just seem to stick to you. They'll follow you if you try to leave, staring you down with their creepy unblinking mirage eyes. And whoops: everybody can see said mirages. Hopefully you're not being stalked by someone you and somebody else both know, wouldn't that be awkward?

[ He paused a moment, shuffling back as best he could in his position. ]

How about make sure the boyfriend is present next time?

[it looks like he's not going to do anything... UNTIL SUDDEN LEG SWEEP.]

[ There's a loud CLUNK as something hits the ground, and Archie will find his leg hitting metal instead of flesh. It's a massive blade, black and red, with a gloved, clawed hand gripping it. If Archie followed the red and black arm up, he'll find himself staring at a beady pair of yellow, glowing eyes glaring down at him from a blood red mask. ]

[ Adachi let out a sigh, pulling himself up and dusting himself off, hos hand absently still clenched from when he grabbed for his Arcana card. ]

Geeze, actually making me summon. You're a real pain in the ass, you know that?

[ There's a lopsided grin on his face that definitely goves the impression he was just waiting for the chance to unleash his powers on an actual target. ]

[h2no]

[archie swears and stumbles back, raising his fists briefly before letting them drop down. shit. fuck. hell.

immediately, he pulls crobat's ball off his belt and flings it up into the air. crobat appears with a screech, already sensing the tension in the air.]

Crobat, poison this asshole!

[it screeches again, making a giant glowing x of purple... whatever in front of it.]

[ ...wait, what the hell?! Adachi covered his mouth as Magatsu Izanagi raised an arm to protect his face, the both of them backing up from... whatever that bat had done. Was it a spell or something? Hell, was that thing even a bat?! No creature should have a mouth that big! ]

[ More importantly, though: ]

You keep animals in tiny balls? What kind of monster are you?!

[ignoring the comment, arche just watches, fists clenched as crobat fires off the cross of poison. the move is called cross poison. genius.]

Hit him with Brave Bird when you can, Cro!

[ Okay, you know what? Screw this; with a gesture from Adachi, his Persona extended a clawed hand. Magatsu Izanagi had special moves too; this one came in the form of a mist that blanketed the area, bringing with it an unsettling murmuring sound. Foolish Whisper didn't hurt, but if he was lucky, it would keep the bat... thing... from casting anymore "spells". ]

[ And if he was really lucky, it would silence the loudmouth too. ]

[ It wasn't until the spell effect resolved that Adachi felt a pain in his chest, and he gripped at it as he let out a cough. Damn, that poison must have taken effect. He had to hope his Persona could shake it off quick; he didn't know how his enhanced endurance could handle poison. ]

[this isn't right... why is whatever the hell that is affecting him too? archie coughs slightly, suddenly surprised at losing his ability to yell obscenities at adachi.

he exchanges a glance with crobat, who flies up into the air and tucks its wings in, ready to slam into the persona at top speed.]

[ ...was that thing going to do what Adachi thought it was going to do? Both him and Magatsu Izanagi paused, exchanging looks, and it was pretty easy to imagine whatever was under that blood red mask had the same grin on its face that Adachi did. ]

[ As soon as Crobat starts to divebomb the Persona, Magatsu Izanagi shifts his grip on his sword, holding it with two hands like a baseball bat. If the bat can't pull out of its dive, then someone's about to hit a homerun. ]

[well, seeing as archie can't currently yell to warn crobat, he does the next best thing. there's no way he's even risking crobat getting cut in half, so he returns it. the bat disappears in a beam of red energy and archie holds his hands out at adachi.

what the fuck, bro?]

[ Adachi snickered at the look on his face, sliding his hands into his pockets as he fought against a cough. ]

What? Never heard of baseball?

[ Magatsu Izanagi took a swing for emphasis, the flat of his blade angled where Crobat would have hit. Adachi's expression became less mocking and more snide as the Persona twirled the blade around, a clawed hand reaching out... before a bolt of lightning zapped the ground, just inches from Archie's feet. ]

Now get lost, punk. You're out matched, and out classed.

[h2no]

[yeah, like that giant asshole wouldn't have hit crobat with the blade... archie's mind vaguely wonders to what would've happened and he winces.

he barely flinches at the lightning. archie wasn't prepared to put crobat in danger but... himself? that's a different story. archie play it a little more fast and loose. he clenches his fists again any stays where he is.]

Go to hell, asshole.

Oh, the silence wore off! Good for you.

[ He waved a dismissive hand. ]

I should be calling the APC, or animal control or something, but I'm being generous.

Y'at least gonna tell me why you've got such a hate on for me?

[archie literally can't think of anything he did wrong. he was loud, sure, but also... in a bar?

this fucker.]

I just don't like my time to relax so rudely interrupted.

[ This guy was just going to be a wall, wasn't he? Fine, he knew how to make a wall run away. He let his control slip glowing, yellow bleeding into his eyes as something like a growl escaped from Magatsu Izanagi. The Persona loomed over Archie, yellow eyes glowing brightly as an unsettling fog engulfed the area, the angle of the Persona's blood red mask making it seem like there was an Evil Smile on his face. ]

[ And Adachi didn't even need a bag over his head to induce mind numbing fear. Take that, Crane. ]

It's still not... fair.

[well, that's given him a frighten. he backs away from adachi, suddenly feeling fear like he hasn't since he unleashed kyogre... swearing loudly, he turns and runs.
