Perfect. And then, we'll also have people kicking Lucifer's ass, because he really is a big pain.

... So what did you need, anyway?

Enormous pain. Requiring a large group of ass-kickers.

[ He sounds a bit awed at the thought that he actually has that large group available to him. It's still a new concept. ]

Ah, there should be a small canvas bag in the rubble. My comm especially, but there's a few other items as well.

[ By now, though, Aral has confiscated the bag and given Miles' comm and knife to Jim to deliver. ]

Bag in the rubble, got it. Hopefully it'll be intact.

[Maybe he can just dash over there. Should take only a few minutes that way.]

Though speaking of intact, do you want me to at least clean up some of your fractures before I go? I can get Kala-Nemi to appear somewhere outside the building if I sit on the windowsill, and it won't take anything out of me to do a light healing.

God, I hope so too. The dagger at least should be intact even if the bag is not.

[ Given that there's very little that can really damage a Vor seal dagger. At Ken's suggestion, Miles brightens - not only at the offer, but the mental image too. He's just picturing Ken summoning his persona like that. ]

Are you certain? If outside would be easier, I could sneak out briefly.

No way. You're staying in bed, sir.

[As if to ensure that he does, Koromaru suddenly jumps on the bed and sits at the foot of it, staring Miles down, and Ken pushes open the window to sit on the sill, one foot dangling out. He makes sure to wave down in case anybody is watching because the last thing he needs is someone phoning Jaime and freaking him out unnecessarily.]

It won't make much difference.

[ Well. He's certainly not going anywhere with Koromaru here to guard him. He lets out a soft sigh. ]

By all means, then. I would be intensely grateful.

[amadaman]

[Victory. Ken grins, reaching for his waist to pull out the Evoker, and he presses it to his chest -- hidden from the people outside the window, but also for a more personal sentiment -- and pulls the trigger. Kala-Nemi casts a shadow from outside the window, but Miles doesn't have to be in her direct line of sight for her to heal that leg of his. The bones will quickly put themselves together; he won't be completely healed as Ken held back on how much energy he was using, but it'll be in better shape than before the spell.]

[ Ah. That feels good. Out of all the healers Miles has had tend to him, he likes Ken the best. There's something about that particular healing energy that resonates well with him, knits his brittle little bones back together extra fast.

He sags gently with relief. Maybe now he can convince the nurses to take off his casts... ]

That ... that is much better.

[amadaman]

It's not fun having broken bones. [He knows from experience, though nothing to Miles' scale, ever.]

It's not fully healed, so it's still tender, but it should be less uncomfortable now.

[ Miles shifts his legs about experimentally. Yes ... that will work very nicely. ]

Even so, it makes a world of difference. I think I could walk around now.

You actually probably could, though I wouldn't recommend it.

So... you need your bag, right?

Please, yes. If you don't mind.

[ Miles can't help but grin at being called boss. Even by a twelve-year-old. ]
