[ They're going for a walk, not some jungle expedition. ]

I need books because I know the five best restaurants that are closest to us. And this really cool museum that not too far away.

[Cosima's definition of "not too far away" is definitely different than most, but Sarah doesn't need to know that. She slings her now full bag over her shoulder and joins Sarah at the door.]

[ Going to a restaurant and/or a museum wasn't what Sarah had in mind for today. ]

[Cosima follows after her, adjusting her glasses and squinting into the sun. No matter where they go, it's nice weather for an outing.]

I dunno, I wasn't really gonna plan anything. I was just gonna see what happened.

[ Clearly the two of them have very different ideas about what vacations should be like. ]

[Cosima can be flexible! Though, if she gets bored she already has plans to take off the the nearest museum while Sarah does... Whatever it is that Sarah enjoys doing on vacation.]

We should probably grab some groceries, too, if we pass a place.

[They're definitely on the same page there. Cosima figures Alison can't get too upset that they went on a possibly dangerous excursion if they bring back groceries.]

Totally. I know Alison's sick of ordering in food.

Alright, let's get those first. Then we can check out your museum. One museum.

But the groceries might go bad while we're at the museum... We should do it first.

[Cosima has plans to spend hours and hours there.]

[ That's exactly what Sarah was afraid of, but she can't argue with Cosima's logic there. ]

[She can't help but grin. Her plan is working exactly as she wanted.]

If you get bored, you can bail early.

[ Trust her on that. ]

[It's kind of hard to tell how much she's joking and how much she's completely serious.]

[ She gestures ahead of her for Cosima to start leading the way to the museum, though. ]

[Cosima raises an eyebrow. She has a good idea of what it is, but she'd rather not make assumptions. She wants Sarah to tell her herself.]

... Something illegal?

[ Sarah sighs deeply. Cosima is going to make her spell it out, even though they both know what's going on. ]

I'm dealing, Cos.

[Cosima can't say she's surprised, but she's a little disappointed maybe? Mostly she's worried. She doesn't want Sarah to run into more trouble.]

Yeah? Be careful.

[coppelganger]

[ Sarah sees the look on Cosima's face and isn't sure what she expected. Anger, maybe? Or maybe some part of her had stupidly believed that Cosima wouldn't care. But the disappointment on Cosima's face only makes her angry. It's not often, anymore, that she finds herself looking at one of her clones and feeling angry about all the opportunities they got that she didn't, or finding herself resenting all the bullshit she's had to do to keep them all safe. But now is one of those times. ]

Don't give me that look, Cosima. I don't need that from you.

[Cosima sighs, mostly angry with herself that she couldn't stay neutral, couldn't act like she's totally cool with Sarah dealing drugs. It's dangerous and definitely not the path she though Sarah was trying to stay on in order to keep her family together. She worries at her bottom lip, keeping her eyes fixed on Sarah, ready to gauge her reaction.]

Hey, it's not the look you're thinking. I'm just... Worried? It's not exactly the safest career choice, man. And I thought you were giving up all that shit.

I was.

[ Dealing had been for two reasons, really. The first, most obvious, was to earn as much extra cash as possible and then take it back with her through the Porter whenever her time here was up. But the second reason, the one she can barely recognize, much less admit to herself, is that she wanted to get back at this universe and all the people in it. ]
