[They're definitely on the same page there. Cosima figures Alison can't get too upset that they went on a possibly dangerous excursion if they bring back groceries.]

But the groceries might go bad while we're at the museum... We should do it first.

[Cosima has plans to spend hours and hours there.]

[ That's exactly what Sarah was afraid of, but she can't argue with Cosima's logic there. ]

[She can't help but grin. Her plan is working exactly as she wanted.]

[ Trust her on that. ]

[It's kind of hard to tell how much she's joking and how much she's completely serious.]

[ She gestures ahead of her for Cosima to start leading the way to the museum, though. ]

[Cosima raises an eyebrow. She has a good idea of what it is, but she'd rather not make assumptions. She wants Sarah to tell her herself.]

... Something illegal?

[coppelganger]

[ Sarah sighs deeply. Cosima is going to make her spell it out, even though they both know what's going on. ]

I'm dealing, Cos.

[Cosima can't say she's surprised, but she's a little disappointed maybe? Mostly she's worried. She doesn't want Sarah to run into more trouble.]

Yeah? Be careful.

[ Sarah sees the look on Cosima's face and isn't sure what she expected. Anger, maybe? Or maybe some part of her had stupidly believed that Cosima wouldn't care. But the disappointment on Cosima's face only makes her angry. It's not often, anymore, that she finds herself looking at one of her clones and feeling angry about all the opportunities they got that she didn't, or finding herself resenting all the bullshit she's had to do to keep them all safe. But now is one of those times. ]

Don't give me that look, Cosima. I don't need that from you.

[Cosima sighs, mostly angry with herself that she couldn't stay neutral, couldn't act like she's totally cool with Sarah dealing drugs. It's dangerous and definitely not the path she though Sarah was trying to stay on in order to keep her family together. She worries at her bottom lip, keeping her eyes fixed on Sarah, ready to gauge her reaction.]

Hey, it's not the look you're thinking. I'm just... Worried? It's not exactly the safest career choice, man. And I thought you were giving up all that shit.

I was.

[ Dealing had been for two reasons, really. The first, most obvious, was to earn as much extra cash as possible and then take it back with her through the Porter whenever her time here was up. But the second reason, the one she can barely recognize, much less admit to herself, is that she wanted to get back at this universe and all the people in it. ]

Don't you see what I'm doing here, Cos?

[Cosima's smart, practically a genius when it comes to science and pretty much anything she can read in a book, but she's not always the best at people. Sarah especially, is the sort of unpredictable person, the "wild type" Cosima would say, who she has trouble analyzing and figuring out. It makes Sarah interesting and cool to know, but also leads to misunderstandings. Cosima can't think of any good reasons why Sarah would want to deal drugs, besides the money, which she feels wouldn't be worth the risk, even for Sarah.]

I'm not sure I do. But look, before you get all mad, I'm not judging here, okay? I might not understand your decision, but I'm not gonna try to talk you out of it.

[coppelganger]

Yeah, you're damn right you're not gonna talk me out of it. [ She's an ADULT, dammit!

She takes a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down. She's still got a tendency of letting her anger get the best of her. ]

Look, the consequences of this universe don't matter. If I get caught, if I get into other trouble, in the end it won't matter. And I'll have all this extra cash I can bring back with me when I go home. Cash we'll need.

[Cosima can follow Sarah's reasoning. Sarah's right that this universe doesn't have any consequences for them back home, but there's still the issue of the trouble Sarah could get in here. Still, she gets it. That money could really help them especially now that Cosima doesn't have access to the resources at the DYAD.]

Yeah, okay. I understand. Just... Stay safe, okay?

[coppelganger]

Don't worry about it, yeah?

[ Calmer now, she nudges Cosima with her shoulder, hoping that it will break the tension. ]

I've done shite like this before, and I didn't have superpowers then.

[The attempt is successful at breaking the tension if Cosima's nudge back is anything to go by. She smiles, obviously teasing Sarah a little now.]
