[ LET'S GET THIS PARTY OFFICIALLY STARTED! Opening events so we don't do too much comm flooding (although people are welcome to make their own posts for the event). You're welcome to toplevel with your character if you'd like to have them show up somewhere else for this plot.

[He probably would manage to regain his balance quick enough if he didn't have such large clothes on that also trip him. He winces, picking himself up and attempting to straighten his clothes a little at the disturbance. He seems just as confused, at any rate, and more annoyed than anything. More worried. Because he and Al are inseparable and where Ed is, Al should be here too.]

I wasn't really looking either. I was looking for Al. My little brother.

[Being a practical kid, Riza made finding clothes that fit a priority.

She scratches her head, a small frown on her face.]

I haven't seen your brother. I, um, I don't know anyone named Al at all.

I'm sorry, mister.

Oh. Then where....he was just with me.

[Before he showed up here. Wherever 'here' is exactly. It's confusing. Worrying, given Al's never left his side since their mother's death. Even before that. They've always been together. And with how much Trisha talked about him being the older brother needing to take care of Al, it's no wonder he's focusing on that instead of finding a place to stay, some more fitting clothing.]

Does he look like you?

[She's younger, smaller--and a little more confused, honestly. But she knows that losing someone isn't good. And, seeing as how she's feeling rather lost herself, she sympathizes with Ed's concerns.]

I'll look for someone that looks like you. I'm not sure about anyone who's here. I actually think I'm kind of lost.

Sort of? His hair is shorter. And he's not quite as tall as I am. But yeah, we're brothers, so I guess we look similar at least.

[It's not really something he's had to figure before. He's always been able to find Al before, after all. Usually down by the river, if they'd had some sort of quarrel.]

You're lost too?

[Not something he readily wants to admit but. Well. He is.]

[Riza nods, scratching her puppy's ears with a small frown.]

I'll keep looking for your brother, 'kay?

But maybe he's not here. My Papa isn't here so... maybe not everyone that's supposed to be here is?

Okay. Thanks for the help. I'm not really sure....what's going on, exactly. But I just figure if I'm here, he should be around somewhere too. I need to at least be sure if he is or not.

[Because if his brother is here, Ed needs to help take care of Al, of course. But what she says does worry him. That some people they know might not be here at all.]

[In just a little while, Riza will encounter Kimblee and he will make it completely clear that not only is her father not here but the man is also dead. And she's sure that can't be, because it makes no sense. But that hasn't happened yet, and mostly she's just uncertain.]

Maybe if he isn't here, it's better. Since...well, since weird things are happening here.

I guess. I've just...never been without him before. So it's weird not having him around. Were you looking for anyone? Maybe we could look together.

[Surely she also has family, or friends that she might be searching for too if she seems to have recently shown up as well.]

[She tilts her head, and then slowly shakes it, frowning.]

It's just my Papa, and someone told me he's not here.

Oh. Your dad. I don't know if ours is here or even alive back home. We haven't heard anything from him in years.

[But after the instinctual bratty rage at talk of fathers, he still at least understands that not everyone's father is like that. Has walked out on them. Evidently, not Riza's or she wouldn't necessarily be looking for him, right?]

I can let you know if I find him. But I get the feeling it's....hard to say who might be around and who isn't. This place is weird.
