[ LET'S GET THIS PARTY OFFICIALLY STARTED! Opening events so we don't do too much comm flooding (although people are welcome to make their own posts for the event). You're welcome to toplevel with your character if you'd like to have them show up somewhere else for this plot.

[ A lot of people were in trouble when it came to clothes, especially if they were suddenly much tinier. Kaidan Alenko is having that problem too, being suddenly tiny -- much tinier than he'd remembered being in a long time -- but he can't pinpoint how old he looks, he just knows his clothes are barely hanging on, and that was a problem that needed to be fixed.

Or rather, Kaidan did what he could, which essentially involved wrapping his shirt around his waist, and going bare chested, but at least he could move enough to get around, and considering how his shirt had been, a button up that wouldn't even let him walk in it, this was a far cry better.

He was mostly still stumbling around, pants trailing behind him while he looked for someone familiar. He knew there were people he needed to find, who were probably in trouble to, but he stopped, when he saw someone tiny, swallowed by a shirt, and he stepped forward, taking it on himself to nose in someone else's business. ]

Hey, are you okay?

[ Oh god, when did his voice get so high? ]

[animated]

[ When Charlie spots Kaidan, there is really only one conclusion that makes sense in the wizard's mind ]

Did your clothes get really big too??

[kanadian]

Everything got really big.

[ He said pointedly, scrunching up his nose and looking as sour and judgmental as any 10 year old could look. It was a goddamn gift. ]

Do you know what happened? Have you seen --

Anyone else in big clothes?

[animated]

[ something about that expression seems familiar.... ]

No. All of a sudden I was falling all over the place.

[ he makes a face himself, wrinkling his nose, though on Charlie the look comes off more adorable than truly sour. ] Just you.

[kanadian]

[ That almost seemed an affront, he's not really paying attention to childlike cuteness. Internally, Kaidan's caught up in the circular thoughts and panic, trying to work his way through the problem to solve it.

Unfortunately, he's not exactly coming up with much. ]

Sorry. Did you come here with anyone? Did you see anything?

[animated]

I don't really remember. When I try to think about things, it's all fuzzy.

And I don't think I hit my head when I fell.

Did you see anything?

[kanadian]

Oh. That's not good. [l He looked concerned, and then looked around, like he was trying to find someone. ]

I mean, I didn't see anyone suspicious, and I'm pretty good at looking for those kinds of people. What's your name, maybe we can find your friends?

[animated]

[ brightly, as though there was nothing strange going on, ] I'm Charlie! What's your name?

[kanadian]

It's Kaidan -- [ He stopped and squinted. ]

Last name?

[animated]

Maxwell.

[ He tilts his head a little, looking over the boy in front of him curiously. Kaidan was not exactly a common name, and he's sure he's heard it somewhere before. C'mon, Charlie, think--- ] Are you a grumpy space wizard?

[ of all the things to remember ]

[kanadian]

[ It was difficult for a cute kid of Kaidan's stature to look constipated.

He looked constipated. ]

I'm not grumpy! Or a wizard! [ But it was...something, at least. Definitely something he slightly recognized. ]

[animated]

That look on your face was totally grumpy. [ ten-year-old Charlie has less of a filter, it seems. ]

[kanadian]

Because I look like I'm five instead of thirty five! [ He contested.

He was allowed to be grumpy. ] Aren't you annoyed?

[animated]

No? Is there a reason I should?

[ Charlie is easygoing most of the time, but right now he seems to figure that his clothes got bigger, not that he got smaller. ]

[kanadian]

Yes? We're small! What about our jobs, our responsibilities?

[animated]

Job? [ Charlie makes a face ] Kids don't have jobs.

[ but then he pauses, thinking for a moment. Maybe he does have a job? Something about a bookstore-- no, no, that's not here. Maybe it's because Charlie went backwards about seventy years to Kaidan's twenty-something, but he's having a harder time remembering. ] At least I don't think I do.

[kanadian]

[ Mostly, Kaidan is the kind of person that simply focuses on these things like the loser he is. ]

Yeah, but I'm not -- we're not kids. I'm not a kid. Just a --

A --

Ugh, I can't --

[ It's there, it's just out of reach, and he screwed his face up, like he was trying to think. ]

[animated]

It's all fuzzy, isn't it? Like static on the TV.

[ your age is showing, Charlie ]

[kanadian]

Yeah --

[ He shook his head, and squinted at the ground, like he was trying to puzzle it out. ]

It's there, but...Every time I try to think about it, I keep going other places instead. It's like...it's too busy.
