[ LET'S GET THIS PARTY OFFICIALLY STARTED! Opening events so we don't do too much comm flooding (although people are welcome to make their own posts for the event). You're welcome to toplevel with your character if you'd like to have them show up somewhere else for this plot.

I don't understand him!

It's hard to understand a person like that, I think. It might be impossible.

Well... I guess it's okay. If he tries to hurt anyone else, we'll stop him.

[hands4healing]

[Winry makes a face.]

He'll be targeting Ed. I think. I said something...trying to keep Mr. Kimblee from going after Ed, but it backfired. When I said he thinks Ed's a challenge, it's not just because Ed's a good fighter. It's because of what I said.

[resipiscent]

Oh, you mean, you said something like he would kick his butt or whatever?

[hands4healing]

[She squirms.]

Nooo...

[A sickly grin.]

I said if anything happened to Ed, I'd sic everyone I knew on Mr. Kimblee.

[resipiscent]

Oh, so he's a masochist.

[hands4healing]

Is that another word for 'crazy'?

[No she hasn't heard it before, Riku. Such a sheltered life Winry has lived. But she appreciates you not yelling at her for possibly risking people's lives.]

[He's honestly thinking "challenge accepted" here. Riku doesn't act like it most of the time, but he's pretty competitive himself.]

No, I mean he sounds like he's looking forward to getting beat up.

Maybe.

But he was - is - dangerous. He has long-range applications with his alchemy. And he could knock a building over on people without even needing to be close to them.

[resipiscent]

I'm not saying I don't believe you, or anything. But he's only human, you know? We'll do it.

Mmn. I mean it, you know?

I do know. [Very serious.]

I would've never told Mr. Kimblee if I didn't know.

I guess that's true, huh? Well, we'll take him.

[hands4healing]

I hope so. He's...a menace.

[resipiscent]

[He looks up, then blinks -- they're walking past his house.]

You and Zoey want a drink?

[hands4healing]

[Winry glances at her dog, then at Riku.]

If it isn't a bother...but we can't stay long.

[resipiscent]

Sure. C'mon.

[He trots toward the house, waving for her to follow.]

[hands4healing]

[Zoey pulls Winry along after Riku. She laughs and follows them both.]

[resipiscent]

You can sit down, if you want, [he announces as they enter, Riku padding into the air-conditioned kitchen without really worrying about his sneakers. He has to drag over a chair to reach the cupboard where they keep the glasses, but he manages, retrieving two cups for them and a bowl for Zoey.]

[hands4healing]

[Winry sits, looking around. It's not really all that different from where she lives.]

[She does, watching Winry and Riku curiously.]

You have a nice place.

Heh. It's pretty well the same as all the other places in Heropa, I think. We try to keep it pretty clean, though.

[He moves to the fridge to retrieve a filtered water jug, then fills both the glasses and the bowl. Putting down Zoey's for her, he returns to the cupboard to get his glass and Winry's glass, then sits next to her.]

[Zoey starts lapping up water immediately. Winry accepts her glass with a thank you.]

They are, aren't they? They need some...difference to them. I wonder if they'd let us paint the insides, at least.
