[ LET'S GET THIS PARTY OFFICIALLY STARTED! Opening events so we don't do too much comm flooding (although people are welcome to make their own posts for the event). You're welcome to toplevel with your character if you'd like to have them show up somewhere else for this plot.

Better for you. I didn't know if I was alive back home. I thought I was completely dead...this was all I'd have left. And I figured I'd make the best of it! I had to - this was going to be my life.

And it's a good one here. It isn't home, no, and it's dangerous, but so was home. Just dangerous in a different way.

I see. For me, I... think of it as having jumped to a different world the way I normally would. Except there isn't a way back.

The islands I came from were pretty peaceful. Here, we're sitting in the middle of a war, inactive as it is. I don't know... what I'd prefer.

I never thought about how many wars and fights happened in my world until the other day. My parents died because of a war, and some people from my village were hurt pretty bad in the same one.

And back home, my friends...Ed and Al, and some other friends...are all involved in a fight. That's where we came from...I came from.

[resipiscent]

I see. I... can't say I've ever been part of a war until now. Not a real one, with armies and stuff. The conflict I was a part of was very... I don't think anyone in the general public knew it was happening.

I'm sorry. It must be hard to be here while that's going on.

[hands4healing]

I wasn't part of it...I'm not a part of it, but I was being used to...force Ed to behave.

[A wry smile that is far older than her current 'self'.]

But my country is very...warlike.

[resipiscent]

... Like blackmail? That's dirty.

A military state, you mean?

[hands4healing]

Exactly like blackmail. And Mr. Kimblee wants.

[Huff.]

I think he wants to use me to blackmail Ed again. I'm not sure.

Mm, a military state. Our country is ruled by the Fuhrer, who also heads up the military.

[resipiscent]

Into what, though? He wants to do something here?

[He nods, musing over this.] I see. Where I came from there isn't anything outside our borders, so there's no need. That sounds kind of stressful, though.

[hands4healing]

[Winry checks Zoey to keep her from going after that SQUIRREL!! over there.]

Were you here when the explosions happened? Mr. Kimblee probably had something to do with them. We can't be sure unless he actually says he did, and if someone asks, he'd say 'yes', because...that's the way he is. I don't know why he does what he does.

I do, he likes explosions.

[Stressful? That's a good word for it, Riku.]

Right. So he's a bit of a maniac, it sounds like. Well, don't worry about him like, swooping down on you or anything. I'm good at tracking people, so... I can keep him off your butt, if need be.

[hands4healing]

I'm not really worried about him coming after me. Ed...yes. Ed's a challenge.

Well, Ed's butt, then. Though from what I've seen of him he seems to feel he can take care of himself.

[hands4healing]

He can, most of the time, but Mr. Kimblee's beaten him twice.

[And nearly killed him once.]

I guess that's what happens when you fight a person who doesn't think like the average person.

Don't worry, okay?

[He reaches down to pet Zoey, looking thoughtful.]

We've got strength in numbers, haven't we?

[hands4healing]

[Winry nods in agreement.]

That's why I tell everyone about him. He's not hunting, but he'll take advantage if he can.

[resipiscent]

He seems like he doesn't mind the attention, though. Seeing as he blew up a bunch of stuff.

[hands4healing]

It's a challenge for him. I think.

[Winry sighs, put out at Mr. Kimblee.]

I don't understand him!

[resipiscent]

It's hard to understand a person like that, I think. It might be impossible.

[hands4healing]

You might be right.

[resipiscent]

Well... I guess it's okay. If he tries to hurt anyone else, we'll stop him.

[hands4healing]

[Winry makes a face.]

He'll be targeting Ed. I think. I said something...trying to keep Mr. Kimblee from going after Ed, but it backfired. When I said he thinks Ed's a challenge, it's not just because Ed's a good fighter. It's because of what I said.

[resipiscent]

Oh, you mean, you said something like he would kick his butt or whatever?

[hands4healing]

[She squirms.]

Nooo...

[A sickly grin.]

I said if anything happened to Ed, I'd sic everyone I knew on Mr. Kimblee.

Oh, so he's a masochist.

Is that another word for 'crazy'?

[No she hasn't heard it before, Riku. Such a sheltered life Winry has lived. But she appreciates you not yelling at her for possibly risking people's lives.]
