[ LET'S GET THIS PARTY OFFICIALLY STARTED! Opening events so we don't do too much comm flooding (although people are welcome to make their own posts for the event). You're welcome to toplevel with your character if you'd like to have them show up somewhere else for this plot.

[She really hopes no one else saw that because hitting a kid with a stiletto is the least "heroic" thing she could probably do and she'd probably never hear the end of it. So she leans down next to him and frowns at that damn shoe.]

Let me take a look at you. I want to make sure you're not bleeding anywhere.

[He sniffs again as he scoots closer to her. There's something about her that's... familiar.]

What's your name?

[She leans in to look him over, trying to make sure he's not bleeding or if he's got a knot on his head.]

I'm Tea. What's your name, little guy?

[He's stunned, but otherwise fine. There's a small lump, but nothing terrible.]

Normie.

Well, Normie, I think you'll live. Nothing too bad that an ice pack and some ice cream can't cure.

[That's how you're supposed to talk to kids, right? Be sweet and mention sugary foods.]

[Well the mention of ice cream sure stops the sniffles.]

I like ice cream.

And it's okay lady, I can't get hurt because my shadow will protect me.

[Clasps his hands over his mouth. Oops he shouldn't have said that, it's a secret.]

[Yeah that is definitely getting an eyebrow raise because "shadows" can definitely be more than just shadows.]

Your shadow, huh? Well I do hope your shadow does a better job keeping an eye on you. [She gives a brief look around and then down at the kid's shadow. Nothing looks out of the ordinary, but you never know.]

Now how about that ice cream?

[Tries so hard not to say anything else, but...]

It kept that shoe from really hurting me!

[Okay, he's going to stop now.]

What kind of ice cream are you gonna get, lady?

[That doesn't explain anything to do. But maybe if she butters him up, she'll get more. She stands and adjusted her clothes, her shirt is loose and the collar dipping almost low enough to be obscene.]

That depends on what kind of ice cream that cart over by the dart throw has. Any favorites?

[He looks up at her.]

Did you used to be big too?

[Typical. He's a kid, she can't expect anything interesting out of him, really. Dumb kids dumb things.] I used to be bigger in a lot of ways.

[They make it to the cart and luckily the guy running it is still there.]

Give me a chocolate chip cone and chocolate strawberry swirl one. You want sprinkles kid?

[He makes a face. He's not sure why he knows this, but he can definitely spot the innuendo.

Luckily, the talk of sprinkles makes him forget about it almost immediately.]

Yes please!

And sprinkles. [She puts money on the counter that should be more than enough. The vender goes about making their cones and she gives the kid a quick glance.]

You're not going to turn into a crazy sugar monster are you?

Ummm... No?

[He swuints back up at her.]

Are you serious? [Cheeky little shit.] I'm an adult. You're like three. Sugar is like a drug for you.

[Oh and look there is the kids cone. She takes it from the vendor and holds it down so the boy an reach it.] And I'm trusting you not go crazy and streak around the park naked.

[Makes a face at her as he takes the cone.] I will not! Why d'ya even think that, lady?

That's what little kids do.

[She gives a shrug and licks her own.] Now eat your ice cream. We need to find an adult for you.

Do not! [Mmmm, ice cream.] I am an adult! [He frowns as soon as he says it, because he knows that can't be right.] ...I was an adult?

[She looks down at him, eyebrow raised.]

I figured that. [Considering her own age change she thought that was the possibility, but his change was a lot more drastic than hers.] How old are you supposed to be?

Mmmmm.... [Thinking...] 20!

That's really a step down. To think you were almost legal. Now you're barely out of diapers. [She licks on her cone and begins heading down the street.] Guess that means you don't have a mom or dad to come pick you up.

Yeah well... just 'cos you're huge doesn't mean you're better than me! [He purposefully ignores that last part. What's it to you that his parents are gone, lady?]

I'm showing sympathy for your bad luck. Who wants to relive the years when people could step on the and not even notice?

[Of course she's better than him so no point in even arguing that.]

Where do you live? Do you have someone who can take you back there?

I'm not that small. [To which he stands on his tip-toes to glare at her, as if to prove his point.] Nonah. And I don't remember.

Small enough. There are giants around and you wouldn't even come to their knees.

[Said teasingly. Watching him get worked up is amusing.]

You know where you live, but not if you have any friends?
