[ LET'S GET THIS PARTY OFFICIALLY STARTED! Opening events so we don't do too much comm flooding (although people are welcome to make their own posts for the event). You're welcome to toplevel with your character if you'd like to have them show up somewhere else for this plot.

[It's a dog! He watches it zip by, then realizes that he recognizes said dog. It's Zoey! Not that he's... met her outside of the network, but that colouring and general size is hard to mistake. He trots after her, to the tree she's barking at. The dog is so intent on barking at the squirrel that she doesn't notice Riku approaching, and he manages to pick up the leash and stick his hand through the handle, hanging onto it firmly.

He looks over his shoulder to find Winry hurrying after Zoey, and he holds up his end of the leash.]

Winry!

[hands4healing]

[She spies her dog and the boy holding her. She doesn't recognize him at first, but squints the closer she gets.]

Riku?

[You too, huh?]

Thank you for catching Zoey for me!

[resipiscent]

Mmhmm. It's kind of a bummer, but I'm dealing. And no problem.

[He reaches to pet her, offering up the leash handle to Winry.]

She's pretty strong, huh?

[hands4healing]

You're handling it better than me.

[Winry's not sure about her piping voice and short legs and all. But she takes the leash from Riku.]

She is when she sees squirrels. And she's not as obedient with me like this!

[Still, she pets Zoey on the head.]

I got my frustration out already, is all.

[He blinks over to Zoey, after Winry's admission of her not listening as well.]

Guess she thinks you look less dominant.

[hands4healing]

Or I don't smell right or sound right or...She still goes to bed when I tell her.

[Winry huffs.]

Do you know why this happened?

[She starts walking again, and Zoey is good this time, walking alongside her in a loose heel.]

Nope. Not yet, anyway. Though it'd be really helpful if I could figure it out. I've got my suspicions, but...

[He follows along, blinking up at her. Winry's older than him right now, even though normally they're about the same age, so it makes him feel small.]

Suspicions? Really?

[She gives him a sidelong glance.]

You don't think it's the Porter or the government, do you?

[She's used to boys being shorter than her, Riku. So it's not really a Thing for her.]

Heh. No, I'm wondering if this was on purpose at all.

[Likewise, he's used to being taller than most of the people he knows.]

Oh...an accident, you mean?

[Someone trying something without realizing the affects? Not that she doesn't know people who've done that in the past.]

Hmm. I hadn't thought that.

Yeah. Like, I know a few people who might have been messing around with sciency things.

[hands4healing]

[Said with nary a hint of dryness to her tone.]

[He smirks.] Yeah, someone like that.

Tony's a little kid, too...I don't think he had anything to do with it.

[Thoughtful.]

Hm. Well, I don't know everyone that works there, unlike yourself. But yeah, I don't think anyone would have chosen to get younger, would they?

[hands4healing]

[Winry waves her hand, shaking her head.] I don't know everyone who works there! There are a lot of people!

[resipiscent]

Hm.

[Riku shrugs, looking down at Zoey.]

Guess I'll have to think on it some more.

[hands4healing]

It wasn't me!

[She says, as if someone would've thought it.]

[resipiscent]

I know.

[winry pls]

[hands4healing]

[She pouts.] I wouldn't have even thought of something like this.

[Whut? It's a possibility...okay, no it isn't.]

[resipiscent]

I know. You're not devious enough. Or immature.

[hands4healing]

[The 'immature' part is debatable at this point, Riku.]

No...I guess I'm not.

[Despite her thoughts of how to deal with Mr. Kimblee, should he show up at her home again.]

[resipiscent]

Don't worry. I'll figure it out.

[He shrugs, looking down at Zoey.]

So are you just taking her for a walk, then?

[hands4healing]

I hope so. [Seriously. Being little is difficult.]

[Zoey pants, appreciating the attention.]

Mm! She's got a lot of energy, so I take her for walks a lot. Usually we go to the beach but it's good to take her different places, too. Do you want to walk with us?

[resipiscent]

Sure. Um, I'm not as fast of a walker as I am normally, though, so you'll have to forgive me if I'm kind of slow. I'm not used to such short legs.
