[ LET'S GET THIS PARTY OFFICIALLY STARTED! Opening events so we don't do too much comm flooding (although people are welcome to make their own posts for the event). You're welcome to toplevel with your character if you'd like to have them show up somewhere else for this plot.

[ His eyes narrow a little in suspicion, but he lets it slide.

After a second, he peers at Charlie, thoughtful again, and he murmurs, ]

Two days from retirement.

[ though it's mostly to himself. ]

... Hey. Where's Nonah? I ain't heard of it.

It's in North Carolina.

[ he tilts his head a little ] I don't know if you're my friend Peter or not, but I think we should be friends anyway.

[ you don't just say things like that weird magic kid.

and Peter's concerned about the "North Carolina" bit, seeing as how he's from Missouri, but there are more pressing matters to address. Like-- ]

What makes you say that?

[ he shrugs as best he can with a bundle of clothes in his arms ] You're kinda quiet, but I like you.

Nah, I think I got it. Besides, you're already carrying stuff.

[ a beat ] That coat is really neat.

Are your folks gonna be okay with me coming over?

[ He actually has to think through that one, because the default answer where his mother and father were concerned was always "No."

But-- ] My mother and father aren't here. But I do live with some very nice people. I'm sure they won't mind.

It'll be fine. Ken and Koro and Emma and Iron Bull are all really nice.
