AGE PLOT SHENANIGANS

[ LET'S GET THIS PARTY OFFICIALLY STARTED! Opening events so we don't do too much comm flooding (although people are welcome to make their own posts for the event). You're welcome to toplevel with your character if you'd like to have them show up somewhere else for this plot.

[Her smile gets a bit wider at the squeeze, and once in line she doesn't let go, even though they were clearly not in danger of getting split up anymore. Oh, childhood and lack of cares given about appearances and motivations it bestows upon a person.]

I think it is the second finest for me. However, I believe the food is the first finest. I want to eat three more funnel cakes!

Are you certain that you will be able to consume three entire funnel cakes? The ratio of stomach size to cake is not the same as it was only a day ago.

I am certain! I may not have as many stomachs as you, but I am not a quitter! [He will definitely have to help.]

[The line moves as the roller coaster cars come to a stop and deposit the last riders, and as they're ushered into a car and locked in, she looks over at Croach, eyes lit up with excitement.] Have you ever ridden in one of these? I have not!

I have not. They seemed to be a waste of time, but...

[But not when they're spending time together. Besides, being little, it would be difficult to carry out his duties of employment anyway.]

[She holds onto the harness, just for that extra bit of safety.]

Of course you will not, Croach the Tracker. But first one to the top has to buy all the funnel cakes today!

[He barely had time to reply to her bet, they were cresting the top of the climb, the cars in front of them disappearing as they shot down the hill.]

[He opens his mouth, but there is no time at all—they are suddenly hurtling down the top of the hill. The carnival roller coaster is very small compared to permanent Earth installations, but it is also the first roller coaster Croach has ever ridden.

He does not scream. He hollers.]

BAH GROPAAAAAAAA!

[Thank God Croach screamed first, she had been biting her lip so hard to keep from losing that she was afraid she would split it. As soon as that expletive was out of his mouth she was screaming.]

Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

[It was indeed a smaller coaster, but it was her first one as well, plus her smaller size made it seem many times bigger than it was, but once they hit the next climb, she caught her breath and was laughing in great enjoyment, turning to Croach to see how he was liking it.

She even threw her arms up when they went down that incline, copying the other passengers, finally understanding why they were doing it, screaming in amused terror.]

[Croach, on the other hand, is now grasping the harness as tightly as possible. He does not dislike the sensation of rolling quickly down the hills, but they feel big and he is small and he does not wish to fall out.

Yet he regrets it when the ride comes to a stop. Must they get off?]

[Her stomach churns as they lurch to a stop.] Oh, oh, I am going to vomit!--No. No, wait . . . I swallowed it, I am good. [She said all that with childish elation, like the nausea was all part of the fun.

Looking at Croach as the harnesses are lifted away she can see his disappointment it was over, so as she steps out she holds out her hand to him to aid him out of the car, stating:] I think we should return to the line, what do you think?

That is an excellent response! Now you have not inconvenienced our fellow riders with your vomit.

[He thinks this is a very good thing, but the appalled looks the riders in question give them indicate otherwise. They would probably think differently if they were now covered in vomit.]

That would be most enjoyable, but what if continuous riding makes you vomit again and be unable to enjoy the funnel cakes?

I will not vomit! [She is affronted by the mere suggest, and she tries to tug him back toward the line anyway.] And if I do, it will only make more room in my stomach for the most enjoyment of funnel cakes! [She isn't paying attention to the other people's reactions to her talking loudly about puking.]

[Sweet, short line, that means they get on right after they just got off, so they didn't have to wait at all. Once strapped in, Red started kicking her legs in anticipatory excitement, her too large boots almost kicking off. She looks at Croach, saying:] This time, put your arms in the air with me. It will be even more enjoyable, I promise!

[Even if it does make for the fourth scariest yet enjoyable experience he has participated in.]

Good! And if you fall out, I will catch you, so do not worry.

[She said that with all the earnestness of a child, like she really could, but for Croach she would try to do anything stupid and impossible.]

[They round the top and they fly down the other side. She flings her arms high, squealing.]

[She doesn't think squealing is as embarrassing as screaming, so she's all right with doing it the rest of the ride. She even keeps her arms up the whole time.

Upon coming to a stop she presses her hands to her mouth, just in case, but she succeeds in not vomiting so well it didn't even try to inch up her throat.]

Before we leave we must ride this ride again, all right?

[He knows. Two of his twenty-eight senses can detect the vomit and where it stops.]

We must. But first we will eat funnels.

[That must be tough, sensing vomit like that.

They are released from the car, and she stops out in the open, glancing around, trying to remember which way the food stands were.]

They are called funnel cakes, Croach, I do not think you would enjoy eating an actual funnel.

I would not. They are usually constructed of plastic, which is both inedible and gross.

It pleases me to track these funnel cakes for our enjoyment. I only wish that my twenty-eight senses were as strong at this age as they are in my natural adulthood.

The funnel cake stand came into view and blissfully had no line, so she goes right up and buys two, handing one to Croach. As she scarfs it down like a starving person, she asks between mouth fulls, voice slurred:] Would you like to spend the night tonight? It will be like back home! Only without caretakers admonishing us for not bathing before putting on pyjamas.
