AGE PLOT SHENANIGANS

WHO: Everyone and anyone!
WHERE: De Chima, various
WHEN: Around 6 PM EST, March 25th
WHAT: Age plot kickoff!
WARNINGS: Cuteness.

[ LET'S GET THIS PARTY OFFICIALLY STARTED! Opening events so we don't do too much comm flooding (although people are welcome to make their own posts for the event). You're welcome to toplevel with your character if you'd like to have them show up somewhere else for this plot.

The age plot will run from March 25th through Sunday, March 29th. More deets available at the plotting post. ]

Really?

[ There's a pause on her for a second, there, as a bit of fuzziness clears from her mind again. ]

Oh, right! You're a wizard, Charlie!

[animated]

[ that makes him giggle ] I am!

I bet I could make Renoir wave all on his own if you wanted.

[stealwithit]

[ Oh my god you just made her face light up like a Christmas tree, honestly, and she holds Renoir out almost immediately. ]

Make him wave!

[animated]

[ Instead of grabbing the bear, he grabs Kasumi by the hand and guides her to the middle of the living room ]

Lay him down on the floor. I'm gonna need to concentrate.

[stealwithit]

[ she nods dutifully and does as she's told, giving Renoir a nice little pat on the head when she lays him down on the floor. ]

Okay. Do the magic!

[animated]

[ Charlie kneels next to the teddy bear, once again scrunching his face up in concentration as he tries to think through the fog and recall his magic.

Once or twice he raises a hand to cast but second-guesses himself and puts it back down. Then something clicks, and he begins casting for real. He still takes it slow, each mark deliberate, but soon enough there is a complicated-looking rune glowing with the ice-blue light of Charlie's magic, and floating over the bear's tummy. ]

I'm almost done, are you ready?

[stealwithit]

[ she clasps her hands together at all the cool glowy thingies and nods enthusiastically in response to his question. ]

I'm ready, Charlie! Ready, Renoir?

[ a beat, then ] Renoir says he's ready!

[animated]

Okay!

[ he draws one more mark, and the glowing runes all vanish. For a beat, nothing happens.

And then Renoir sits up, and waves at Kasumi. ]

[ guess who clasps and shrieks with pure joy when her favorite bear sits up and waves at her like a real bear!! And she's not imagining it!

She waves back, of course! ]

Oh my gosh, he's waving! Hi Renoir!

[animated]

[ Charlie is giggling like crazy. This is always exactly what he wanted to be able to do with his magic, and it's wonderful.

He makes a little motion with his hand, and the bear gets shakily to its feet, and takes a few waddling steps toward Kasumi ]

[ Kasumi, in turn, knees down on the floor with her arms outstretched, as though she's ready to welcome Renoir into her arms. ]

Yay! You're the best, Charlie!

[ Instant bitty friends 2k15 ]

[animated]

[ The bear half-walks, half-stumbles into Kasumi's open arms to give her a hug ]

I'm glad you like it.

[ this is the best day ever

Kasumi gives Renoir a nice, tight hug, giggling all the while. ]

Can you make other thingies move, too?

[animated]

Yeah, but Ken says I'm not allowed to move anything that's bigger than me.

[stealwithit]

[ She purses her lips, looks around, then leans in to whisper into Charlie's ear. ]

Ken-kun isn't around right now. I won't tell on you if you do magic on big stuff!

[animated]

[ Kasumi! You little rebel, you. ]

But what else would I even do magic on?

[stealwithit]

[ She looks around their living room. Also what r u talking about she is a sweet innocent angel. ]

What about that lamp?

[ She says as she points to the tall floor lamp in the corner of the living room. ]

[animated]

I... think... I think I have a spell on that already.

I think I have spells on lots of stuff around the house.

[stealwithit]

[ She hums and points at literally the next thing beside it. ]

What about that plant?

[animated]

[ and a shake of his head ]

I can't do magic on stuff that's already alive.

[stealwithit]

Oh. Okay.

[ She tilts her head. I guess that makes sense... But soon enough she points to the dining set. ]

What about that chair?

[animated]

[ Charlie gives the chair a good, long look. He really does feel like he's got spells all over this house. (He has vague memories of a yellow legal pad covered in notes, music blaring over the speakers, and the blue light of his magic illuminating every room.)

So, on a whim, he just... waves a hand, and the chair scoots out from the table. Even half-expecting it like he was, it still surprises him ]

Oh!

[stealwithit]

[ yeah, so Kasumi is gonna excitedly shriek again. ]

You did it! Can you make the chair dance?

[ can he make all of the furniture dance?? Like in that really really old movie from earth withy the talking furniture and the princess?? ]

[animated]

Proooobably?

[ he's got that "I'm concentrating really hard" look back on his face as he inspects the chair. ]

I can't quite remember.

[ She makes a Sad Face. ]

Aww... That's okay. Chairs wouldn't be good dancers, anyway!
