[ LET'S GET THIS PARTY OFFICIALLY STARTED! Opening events so we don't do too much comm flooding (although people are welcome to make their own posts for the event). You're welcome to toplevel with your character if you'd like to have them show up somewhere else for this plot.

[At least it's not a fully grown shiba, just a pup. But still aggressively friendly! He manages to get Koromaru to back down a little, scritching the scruff of his neck.]

Sorry about that, he just-- [And then Tadashi gets a look at the guy and oh. Oooh man. He almost has this guy's limiter ready, at least he did until all this happened, he doesn't know if it got damaged in the shockwave or not.]

...Sorry! Sorry, uh. Manabu... Right?

[oh no it's like a baby version of the dog he has back at home...Manabu is a little sad to see him get yanked away so fast, an endeared smile on his face that falters when he hears his own name.

time to stop paying attention to the dog.] Uh–? [blink.

...blink...] That's right, but... [he frowns.

come on. help him out. he's trying.]

[God, this is embarrassing. This is why he didn't want to go outside like this in the first place. Thankfully, Koromaru's still friendly enough to sniff and nudge against Manabu's leg despite the walker's nervousness.]

Tadashi. I'm-- I was working on something for you when this happened.

[Manabu is only kneeling to give the dog his food-free hand to sniff and not going out of his way to do one of those condescending adult-going-to-kid's level things. seriously.

because he's a bit too surprised to condescend. he's barely set a knee on the ground before his eyebrows shoot up.]

Eh...? [Tadashi is definitely right – he can see it in the face, but.

man, you were super tall. he remembers that, if he remembers anything useful at all about the swearing-in. so–

An experiment my brother was running happened.

[He totally knows what Manabu was doing. Damn his genetics for him being stuck as a late bloomer. He hated being this height at fourteen. But his face scrunches a bit at the thought of this whole... thing happening.]

He was trying to see if he could alter how our nanites do something and it backfired way worse than we calculated. It messed up a lot of people's ages.

[siriusly]

Seriously...? [robot experiments can do that? this is all way over Manabu's head as far as technical stuff goes. but as far as on a people-level...]

Do you know how many people? And for how long? [WORSE:] Is this going to hit everyone eventually? [because you may be short, Tadashi, but Manabu was like a bean sprout a couple years back.]

[tadeadshi]

I think it's only the people in this city. I--

[Aggressive attention seeking from Koromaru!! How dare he get such loving pets from Tadashi.]

I know it's not contagious, so no worries there. Figured that much out.

[siriusly]

[he looks on the verge of relaxing, but:] Is your brother okay? And you? [sure, you may be enjoying the company of the cutest animal he's seen so far, but...]

I'm fine. My brother, he uh.

[SIGHS.... He just looks mildly annoyed by even admitting this.]

He went from fifteen to almost twenty. So. He's great.

see, that doesn't sound as crap as Tadashi looks like it must be.] Oh... [well, wait. fifteen-years old with a twenty-years old set of liberties.]

[Manabu hopefully sees where his big brother worry comes from. He pinches at the bridge of his nose before reaching down to pet Koromaru again.]

I think you'll be fine. And I, uh. I'll have that other thing ready for you once we get all of this sorted out.

[siriusly]

[his eyes wince a little.] Well, that's all well and good, but...you shouldn't worry about that stuff right now. This [a vague wave at him.] is a pretty big deal! I'd be more interested in trying to help you, if I knew at all how...

That's really nice, but I think we can manage it.

[He thinks to how many people are in his house right now. Himself, Hiro, Shinjiro (tiny), Akihiko (overly protective of Shinjiro), Ken (big), Magicman (unaffected), Jaime (?? in and out though), the animals...]

On second thought, a second set of hands may not be that bad an idea.
