AGE PLOT SHENANIGANS

[ LET'S GET THIS PARTY OFFICIALLY STARTED! Opening events so we don't do too much comm flooding (although people are welcome to make their own posts for the event). You're welcome to toplevel with your character if you'd like to have them show up somewhere else for this plot.

[He can pretend the world isn't happening when he's listening to music. It's the only thing that brings him any comfort at all, basically.

Minato immediately hops to his feet. Shy is the wrong interpretation of him-- he's just quiet. But being fearless hasn't changed about him, either.]

Let's go.

[ Well hey, if it'll cheer Minato up, he's all for it. In fact, he grins a bit. Tiiiime to be slightly illegal on the internet. ]

Totally. C'mon, I'll show you my computer.

[At no point in Minato's life has he ever cared about the relative legality of things, not that he would know now that it was illegal.

He trots after Hiro with a stoic face, but the fact that he'd gotten up so urgently is pretty telling, whatever his expression. He's holding his mp3 player as he goes like a kid with their favorite toy, reluctant to let it out of their sight, because, well, it is.]

[ He gets it, okay. He likes tech too. Speaking of which, he unfolds his laptop so Minato can see and starts going to find lists of stuff he could grab. Would Minato like chiptunes? Eh, he can try for sure. Start with that. ]

So what kinda music do you like?

[The laptop thing is fancy and futuristic, too, but Minato doesn't say anything about it. Of course a genius engineer who can make mp3 players would have other advanced things, too. He stretches up to peer over Hiro's arm and look at the screen.]

Electronic, [he says promptly. So yes, chiptunes are a safe bet.]

[ A kid after his own heart. Hiro is going to spoil the crap out of him if that's what he likes. He pulls up some websites with streaming so Minato can have a listen ahead of time. ]

Here, try this one. I like this mix a lot when I'm working.

[What Minato listens to hasn't changed much as he'd gotten older; there's just some classical and some pop mixed in later.

This is probably the most engaged he's been since he's shown up here, listening intently. The distant expression he usually has is replaced with more focus than simple music really warrants, but he does say,] I like it.

[ Gosh. He's gonna have to remember to bond with Minato over music once he's tall again too. ]

Yeah? Good. Means you got some good taste, kid.

[It's a pretty prime bonding strategy for Minato of any age, one of the few things he enjoys for himself instead of for what it does for his friends.]
