[ Long ago (over two years ago, in fact), Kaneki arrived to this world; by then, he was a shy awkward boy, who wasn't able to get into confrontations and still held on to the idea that he was human regardless of being artificially turned into a ghoul. He also had black hair, which probably says a lot about the current Kaneki with white hair, generally depressed, generally menacing when he wants to be, and with far too many mental issues Marie Antoinette syndrome.

To those who have known Kaneki since then, it might be even nostalgic (if not rather sad, because black-haired kaneki used to be a lot more normal), and to those who never had the chance, they will see what an awkward bookworm Kaneki used to be. Because that's exactly what he is right now, thanks to a certain scientist screwing things up.

His memories of being here are all so hazy, like dreams, and he has to wonder if this whole thing isn't one. He will go along with what he can, though, trying to adapt to the new place (because this is actually something Kaneki is surprisingly good at doing: adapting) ]

keeping up with the time lapse lifeline

[Weirder things have happened - that's what Clara keeps telling herself as she walks around the small, bare apartment and looks out at the unfamiliar scenery. She's just come back from her first trip into space, where she fed a leaf to an ancient sun, and now she's waking up in an unfamiliar room, with the Doctor nowhere in sight.

Well, there's only one way to figure out a mystery. Slipping on some shoes that are strangely suited to her style, Clara heads out into the city. You can catch her around her apartment, hunting down clues with her little fluffy kitten, or in downtown De Chima, peering in any number of small shops and businesses, with a quite confused expression on her face.

A face that, incidentally, looks a bit younger and rounder than normal. There's more of a bounce to her step, rather than the typical heel-toe tread of intention. Something is off about her appearance in general.

That clearly means you should interrupt whatever it is she's investigating.]
