Magician's Choice [OPEN]
WHO: Hisoka and EVERYONE, anyone.
WHERE: Various
WHEN: Throughout May
WHAT: Lots of stuff. A catch all and open prompts for those interested.
WARNINGS: General Hisoka warning. So, anything from tame sexual implications to violence and gore.
[ The Preamble ]
[Not that he wasn't busy last month, but he feels as though he has things to get back into after everything that happened. Things like- mindless sports, going to arcades, shopping. Things the undead or like undead just kind of get in the way of.]
[Yes, he certainly had fun, certainly kept active during the end of April. It would have been easy for many people to point Hisoka out in the chaos here and there, moving through those hoards or problematic citizens with ease. Often even attacking them back should they come after him, even killing some that really made a display. And the blood was- good.]
[Very good.]
[But killing zombies really isn't that fun when it comes down to it. Rather boring actually. So May's gonna be a nice month of finding that routine again! Well, whatever Hisoka calls a routine anyway.]
[ A ] - Heropa : StarCity Arcade
[Video games were never something Hisoka indulged in often, especially not back home. But they certainly had things he was interested in. Dating Sims for example, very fun, he's always enjoyed romance, and learning the tropes and memes that go along with it? Seeing all possible scenarios? Fun! Anything with puzzles and tactics tended to play into his interests as well which opened up a very wide range of games to be enjoyed. Of course, sitting down for long periods of time was something he wasn't very interested in, his attention span was quite limited if something wasn't really good. So Hisoka had a tendency, when he did play them at all, to constantly switch from one game to another.]
[So what better place for that than an arcade?]
[He's only here because he happened to walk past it and was intrigued by a rhythm game in the front of the store. Lights for one, like some kind of cat, caught his attention quickly and it wasn't long before he was getting quarters and infront of some fighting simulator. There IS a second side to it incase anyone's interested in playing along, and from the back, Hisoka's grey suit and white hair makes him look rather unassuming? That or maybe schooling him in a fighting game could be fun.]
[But he'll be around, he moves from game to game quickly. One could easily cross paths with him on a dancing simulator, or a side scrolling beat 'em up, to some racing game where the seat is almost just too small.]
[ B ] - Nonah : Twinkle Toes
[The large glass doors make it easy to both see all that this store holds (shoes, shoes, more shoes, maybe purses too), as well as then stacks of boxes towering nearby a brightly dressed man who is slightly distressing the store clerks. The women that work there have been trying their best to appease this person but ever since he made sure they knew he was shopping for himself they've had some- trouble. It's not that he's a man really, though a man in that sort of clothing is a bit strange, nice physique or not. It's that he's tried on over twenty things by now and doesn't seem any closer to buying anything.]
[Truth be told. He's just enjoying trying on shoes. But the amount of times he has to get them to go back and get him larger sizes is starting to wear on their nerves. Hisoka notices of course. He just doesn't care. He certainly plans to leave with something, somethings(?), but will see to finding exactly what, even if it means making this day a difficult one for those working here.]
[Maybe he just needs a good second opinion?]
[ C ] - Maurtia Falls : Passione Casino
[Perhaps at a dealer's table for Poker or a more novelty option- a dice game known as Cee-lo, Hisoka can be found. Hands always fast on the cards and always a bit of a spectacle with how he handles them, giving a sort of magician's flare to everything to put on more of a show. He gets players quickly and often do they stay for a while. It's mostly due to how he keeps the chatter high, enjoying various conversations he has and always managing to keep words going along with the cards and chips. Play a few rounds and you might notice your chips are gone before you know it! He does well to distract with a good topic or two, or some flirting. Either way, if you choose to let him deal a few rounds with you, enjoy the attention, he certainly does.]
A new round? Were you lingering close by in wait for it? I'm embarrassed, just for me~?
[That or maybe it's finally after hours and Hisoka's enjoying a drink at the bar. Something equally showing and sweet, possibly with fruit or possibly on fire. A bit hunched over the bar with his fingers sliding over the bottom of the glass. He has a rather dead look in his eyes, staring through the bottles behind the bar, past the tender when he passes by. An expression not really matching the light purple paisley suit he opted to wear for work today.]
[ D ] - Heropa : Some park. What do people even name parks.
[Man what a great day. What a great day for a walk, and this park? Gosh this park is so nice. So well maintained, zombie free after last's months crazy shenanigans. Everything is so nice and spring is really just great, huh? Green grass, blooming trees, people enjoying walks with their dogs, outings with their kids, frisbees coming right at your face fuck you need to duck or something if you can, it's going way faster than a normal frisbee.]
[ E ] - ANYWHERE : Make your own, he's pretty easy to happen upon in most places and situations, if you have an idea for a prompt here and you're unsure or wanna plan it out, let me know!

E-Maurtia Falls- the Iceberg lounge.
Her clothes are dark, but well made, and obviously draw most of their inspiration from the nineteen-twenties. As unobtrusively as possible, Sabriel sits down at one of the few free tables, sipping on some water as she waits for the next act to come onstage.]

[His intrigue is up, and he'll leave his dish on the table as he stands, not thinking twice about heading to the table of that performer. Obviously an import, and actually- he's seen her on the network a few times.]
Such tricks, but they do well for a show. [A rather soft voice coming from a man approaching in a rather gaudy African print suit. His white hair slicked back, golden eyes catching the light just as the gold diamonds do on his dangling earrings. Hisoka keeps a smile, as friendly as his voice, for now, and moves to sip at his bright red drink before taking a casual pose, a hand on his hip.]
I wonder, are tricks all you can manage?

D- Heropa!
Until a frisbee gets him right in the face, oh god.]

[Because WOW that really hits hard. Dipper will get a bruise, and not only will his head suddenly yank to the side, but the force will even toss him away a little.]
[It all goes so fast, with the frisbee falling aside before suddenly darting up from the ground, as if by telekinesis, being caught by a man wearing something a bit more casual for him.]
Mm... boy. [A blink, the frisbee in a dangling hand as he steps over to him, staring blankly through white hair.]
You fell. [Smiles.] How clumsy, are you okay?

early may; nonah
... I've been kind of irritated, lately.
[That might not be the right word. Irritated? He doesn't know, but it's been feeling like a bunch of gunk has been filling up his lungs. He's tired and he's been busy cleaning up his room and finding people, tying ends. Crane's words still ring in his ears every time there's a silence, and he's been hating it. He sighs.]
So I agreed to this to show you, but I think I'd like to change my objective a little. I want to let off some steam.
no subject
[That look on Ken's face, the boy's intensity starting there. He feels his skin peel a little, letting out a low breath through his nose.]
I can certainly make this worth your while then. I promise, there's no reason for you to hold back. [Another deep breath, his eyelids low now, stepping closer as he spreads his hands over the light cloth of his white harem pants.]

D!
... Right up until he gets a high-velocity frisbee to the face, anyway. He stumbles back with a surprised yelp, trips over a tree root, and falls flat on his butt, sending the cat scrambling for cover. When he sits up again, his eyes have flared yellow and he does not look happy. ]
Who threw that?!
Frisbee prompt's hard to pass up
[Until it's a little ruined of course. At least it wasn't water right? The cat would've surely responded in a much more violent fashion then, but ah- that reaction certainly is nice too.]
[There's a strange lump in his throat when he looks over to that expression.]
Ah- [A few steps over.]
Over here. [Lifting a hand up, then moving to point at the frisbee a few feet away from where Klarion is.] I trust it's not too difficult, would you? [Throw it back, be a champ.]
it really is!

A
Still, he found himself with a little free time while waiting for some pictures to develop nearby, and thought spending a few dollars at the arcade would be kinder to his wallet than browsing at the book store (he can never just browse, ever).
He's just finished shooting ARM into the high score list on a hunting game when he notices a free fighting game. It's not totally unusual to see full-grown adults in the game, but they don't usually tend to wear suits.
Armin has just enough change left to feed the machine and tag in.
He begins scrolling through the characters, offering a small, polite nod to his Player 1.]
no subject
[An imPort. He can easily spot that in the look in this boy's eyes, in his posture. And he smiles back, looking back to the screen. The suit is a little odd, yes, but what might be odder is a full grown man with white hair, light blue coloured eyelashes, and turquoise lipstick. Definitely peculiar, and he knows he screams imPort more than most. But no need to start that conversation up yet! They're playing a game.]
[Hisoka will opt for a character he knows nothing about after fiddling with this game for a short time. A rather tall looking man in a metal mask, a fedora, and a light brown trench coat. When he appears on screen for the fights, a small crowd of kids are running from him and off screen as he stalks into view with his gloved hands held eerily infront of him.]
[Even from his first movements, Hisoka's already hating the character but finding it funny at least. This one has incredibly low speed, high defense, and really unrefined attacks. Grrreat.]

D BUT SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT OKOK
He does this... usually Saturday or Sunday afternoon, when everyone's eaten breakfast and the day is still young. Today, however, he admittedly got a bit bored - he turned up midweek, and he's just finishing up with a fortune for a teenage girl currently stressed about late admissions to college when he looks up and sees--
Well, gosh.]
Here you go.
[His voice is soft and pleasant when hands the young girl her fortune. And his smile is just the same as she stumbles through her thanks and scurries off. She's only gone a few steps when Chrollo looks back at Hisoka with a little, pleasant grin and waves.]
What a coincidence meeting you here! Care for a fortune, Hisoka?
[...not that he intends to actually write one.]
Oh man fortunes, where's your crystal ball, lady
[The Frisbee suddenly winds around and zips back to Hisoka, mid air coming to him and flying right into his hand. Looks like some trick to any onlooker, or maybe a throw enough to have it spiral around, if that was possible. But to someone like Chrollo, it's easy to figure out how Hisoka manages to play with this by himself.]
Hn!
[A huffed laugh, setting his hand on a hip as he balances the frisbee up on the index finger of his other hand.]
You give them away as a joke I imagine. [A biiig joke aimed towards the man who made millions using both that power and his daughter. How funny.]
ITS IN HIS HEAD MY FRIEND
Okay, Palm.
in, not on! IN!!!
Well it's kind of in.. her head... half. Half in there. Later.
okok but his whole crystal ball is in his head. the whole thing!!
All of it. All the ball.

Rude. You are rude, man.
And he doesn't move an inch to see where the thing goes, instead his eyes look for whoever threw it ]
no subject
[Though not often is it so easily dodged. While Hisoka wasn't specifically aiming, nor was he really putting that much oomph in the throw, to see someone almost nonchalantly dodge it? Definitely has his attention.]
[The frisbee passes by, slowing to a stop on the ground not far from this person. Discarded, unloved, ignored... infavour of it's owner. Whom of which looks to be a rather chiseled man in a black tank top and brightly coloured harem pants. He smiles under matching white hair and for a moment is reminded he needs to dye it again. Matching with this guy, how embarrassing!]
Aren't you going to throw it back? [Ppfft, books, just set 'em down. Come make a new friend, much more fun.]

E- [Outside Herodotus Antiques]
She was currently standing in front of the store, scrutinizing the sign that hung above the window before jotting down a few notes on a pad of paper. The pad was already filled with other ideas that Bela was keeping in mind, as well as a few observations of the local area.
Let's just say that she was very thorough.]
no subject
[Though the next time she looks up, it'll be a little higher, and to the left slightly, and in Hisoka's opinion, really pulling together the front of the store now, before it was too low, made things look a little cluttered.]
Hm... [A thoughtful hum, suddenly standing next to her with a hand on his hip as he looks up. Hisoka's aware of who this is- or... at least that he's spoken to her before. About what and when? He can't remember, meaning she probably wasn't very interesting the first time. She's in "luck" though, what she's doing right now is interesting enough for him to make an appearance. And what an appearance. The man's hard to miss in those clothes with his white hair and bright yellow lipstick and eyelashes. And despite HIM looking a like a child ate and purged a box of crayola markers, the sign does look a lot better there...]

I'm not sure you'll find what you're looking for here. You'd have better luck finding proper clown shoes in a costume shop. [Said while she tries on a rather nice pair of black pumps.]

[He doesn't really glance over, just smiles to himself, huffing a small breath through his nose as he pulls loose the laces from the current heeled tennis shoes he's wearing.]
I've went through a bit of an image change, I've grown a lot, Pakunoda, you might be surprised.

[It's caught and Hisoka doesn't say anything. He's already got a strand of Bungee Gum connected to the disc but instead he'll fling up a hand and attach one to Abduxel's face. Activates it, and tugs at the other man's head to get him looking in his direction. Hisoka claps his hands, gesturing for him to throw it back.]

[ E ] - Nonah - Oasis lounge
He can be found sitting alone in a booth near the back, sipping a glass of wine as he reads over the contents of a small stack of paper. And if Hisoka bothers to look, there's a tiny, toothy snout poking out from under the fur on Crocodile's coat. It seems he's not completely alone after all.
He does nothing to hide the obvious look of distaste that appears when he sees Hisoka.]
Is there a reason why you're here?
no subject
[A smile, stepping and crouching to that small snout to tap at it.]
Traa~cy~ [A cooing voice to the hidden beast.]
[Of course he came to see Crocodile, or rather, stepped IN to see him once he realized he was in here. Hisoka's not the sort to 'lounge' really, but where there's people, there's imPorts, and there's possibly socializing with them. It's just a fortunate coincidence that he ended up somewhere that had someone here who was already on his radar.]
[Utterly defeated, almost sad. But there was still more to know about the man, even if fighting him may continue to prove unfruitful. Crocodile had that air of leadership and confidence to him, and the way he lost almost had... finesse. It was hard not to be attracted still in some way.]

Nobunaga is one such component for the better part of the morning, following up on information relating to some historical pieces that will be on display in a local museum later in the month. There are things there that interest him to take, but he wants to run the idea by the boss, first. Who knows? The Spiders could make a nice job of emptying out the exhibit, selling things off that they have no use for, and putting the resulting money towards charitable enterprises...
But it doesn't look like Chrollo is around when Nobu shows up at his place. It's just Nobu and his sword and the usual dark corners, stacks of books, and mountains of unpacked boxes. Which is fine. He can wait. Tend his katana in the meantime, making sure the blade is free of nicks or grooves, and that its cutting edge is hair-splitting—something he's done fairly often of late before the recent epidemic had wrapped itself up.
In fact, he does just that, parking his ass near one of the windows and settling in to work...but it's not long before he senses someone approaching. Someone whose mere presence gets his hackles up.]
no subject
[He feels a presence as well, another aura, though he can't be sure whose it is. He's already sure it's not Chrollo's which is disappointing. But realizing that doesn't stop him from entering.]
[Through a window.]
[A close by window.]
Nice night.
[A voice said with a pleasant tone, right next to Nobunaga. Hisoka's arms are crossed on the sill, peeking into from the outside and resting his head on a hand. A rather nonchalant pose, his feet stuck to the wall outside under the window.]

But some target shooting would just be relaxing, anyway. Showing off to someone who may hopefully spread the news of her prowess was just a plus.
She gave him directions to a gun range in Maurtia Falls. It was one of the nicer, open ones that were outside that a police officer had angrily directed her to after she had tried to do some practice in a park.
She stood near the entrance, leaning on a wall, arms crossed and hat pulled low over her eyes to keep the sun out, looking as out of place with modern times as always. She had no idea what this man looked like, so she would just depend on him to recognize her.]

A gun range? [He says, watching over to her. Yes, she's not hard to miss, and neither is he.]

B because that outfit
[It takes Kite a moment to actually pick Hisoka out amongst the crowd, his eyes narrowed. That man still hasn't redeemed any of his favours yet, so he's just going to try and make this trip quick. Kite gradually represses his aura with Zetsu; it's less noticeable than if he extinguished his aura all at once. Surely nobody will notice him if he just casually attends his business now.
It's not like he's incredibly tall with 6 feet of free-flowing white hair.]

My my~ [Said softly to himself behind where Kite is seated to try on shoes. Hisoka found him, yeah, the height and hair made it easy once he was looking.]
I'm so happy you arrived, and here I just realized I forgot my wallet!

Fortunately, Raina happens to know how to get what she wants with a well-timed smile and a little bit of flirting. An older gentleman accompanies Raina just to the door of the shoe store and offers her a hundred dollar bill (which she actually convinced HIM was in his best interest to give her). And with an appreciative smile and a promise that she wouldn't be long, Raina heads inside and happens to see Hisoka.
Well....it's kind of hard NOT to see Hisoka.
But then she fully takes in the scene and notices the exasperated workers as they go off to get yet another larger size for Hisoka. ]
It's their fault, really -- stocking the store with so many great choices. Makes it hard to pick just one.
[ Because everything is always the fault of the staff. Never the fault of the customers. Raina offers the sweetest smile. ]
Hello, Hisoka. You're looking as vibrant as ever.
no subject
And in such small sizes, it's as though they don't want men to shop here for themselves, I'm almost offended. [Responds without looking back right away, but when he does he meets her with a smile.]
I know that voice- that face- Raina. [A cheery grin, leaning his chin on a hand.] It's not often I get to dress how I please these days. I'm afraid my occupation favours suits, though even in those I'll do my best to keep some colour.
Looking for anything in particular?

When a second player enters his fighting game and Jaime's faced with fighting a human opponent instead of a computer, he doesn't bat an eye. It's an arcade; of course someone else is going to play with him! He keeps his eyes on the screen as...
Well, to be honest, he's not that great at most video games. He should probably stick with Tetris, which he is, for the record, very good at. But even getting his ass kicked is usually pretty fun. Once his character keels over with a very dramatic groan, he glances over to the person next to him, not quite recognizing him in the dim lighting -- yet.]
Hey, good match!
[That's weird. He looks a little older than Jaime had expected. His eyes narrow, though, because it's finally starting to click that he knows this guy.]
no subject
[Playing with someone else is always better though. There was no way he'd pass up fiddling with Jaime more either. Honestly he sees that boy less and less and it wouldn't be as sad if he actually got to see MORE of him in those scarce few times. But a game, sure, he'll take a game. It's more than he's gotten from him in a while, the closest he'll get to a fight too without really pushing things. Though with Jaime- a fight is difficult. That- thing in him, whatever it was, it pushed for the fight to end fast, for Jaime to use that trump card of his. Hisoka wasn't sure if he could properly fend it off and really, he didn't want to. An attack like that hardly counted as a fight really- but... perhaps one day he'll get more from him.]
[The match isn't over so quickly, once Hisoka sees Jaime's less experienced he actually shifts his own playing style to better suit him. There was no reason to make it over kill, he'd rather see how Jaime played anyway. Was he more aggressive, carefree? Was he patient and defensive? Even something like how someone takes a video game can tell you something of them.]
[Either way he wins, not really surprised. What he's surprised about is that tone in Jaime's voice afterwards. He has absolutely no clue who he just played against... A man in a suit he seemed to register, if that, and then, he didn't really see Hisoka in his work clothes so his first thought wouldn't've been 'Hisoka'. Aww, it's- endearing though, he's excited for that look of realization as he turns to look at him, giving a bright smile, eyes slim under the few white strands of hair that fall over his face.]
It was, I'm happy we actually got to play together, we spoke of video games before, didn't we?

C - Passione Casino afterhours
And so she circulated between a few games, winning $20 here, losing $70 there, on and on, until eventually she's up by $50 and calls it quits.
Of course, she wants a parting drink or three at the bar, and look who's already there, apparently done for the night as well. She slides onto the stool next to Hisoka, puts a hand on his arm to get his attention.]
I've never seen such a serious face from you!
no subject
[Around now things are definitely winding down. All that's really left are the straggles from the younger crowd trying to amend what they've lost, a few choice older regulars rusting away at the slots, and those that have to be there. Like Hisoka. You could say he works late, but then, what was time to him anyway? Late at night and he'd still be up till dawn so his wind down isn't so much of a wind down as it is a resetting. Pulling himself out of a mode he's been growing less and less fond of despite only having had a 'job' for a short time. This world has it's benefits but, the drawbacks? Annoying. He's not even the sort to drink really, but here he is, sitting at the bar, draining something the bar tender slid his way.]
[The seat next to him is filled and he doesn't pay it any attention until that hand is on him and his skin prickles quick, in a good way. Physical contact was usually a good thing with him. His eyes dart to the side, peeking at her from the corners and he smiles, closing them soon after.]
Serious? But haven't we been nothing but? [Turns, sliding his drink with him a little and moves to lean an elbow up on the counter.]
Gambling, why am I not surprised? [It seems like everyone he takes interest in is into gambling.]

E | omg vou im sorry i hope this works
Yeah. Iori didn't expect to be that guy, but Inubwok got out and started having a grand adventure while periodically shedding feathers as she goes. She's managed to get herself up on a railing, clucking and looking around like for the life of her she can't imagine how she got here, with Iori... trailing.... behind.
Look, he's caught up, he just looks harried and like the light breeze they're experiencing today is a bit more dramatic right around him. When he comes to a stop at the base of the ramp the chicken can be found on the railing for, his hair is literally blowing behind him, his not-quite-labcoat billows, and by all that is holy, there went some plum blossoms blowing by. ]
Stay.
[ Because chickens totally listen to issued commands, right? ]
Why are you sorry.
[Which is quite a lot.]
[And here he just wanted to take a peak at a local this imPort run shop he's been hearing a little about- or rather the imPort that runs it anyway.]
[But this is kind of fun too, and he stops. Now a rather strangely dressed man just... watching. Watching as the chicken DEFINITELY stays put. Though it seems to be trying to move? But it's feet are... as if stuck to the ground?]
because i keep throwing chickens + iori at you hahahaha
I can handle them, I promise.

E - OH NO IT'S ME AGAIN
[The date had originally been planned for Sunday... but somehow they ended up just going tonight. Spur of the moment, and lacking special preparations - really, it was all Chrollo could do to phone the restaurant ahead of time and make a last minute reservation.
As it turns out, the dresscode can be waived for the right person - one of the perks of being both an imPort and a fairly successful model. Not to mention excellent at flirting with the host. So they find their table, and order their drinks - there are a million chocolate themed beverages, that's pretty interesting - and then it's just them and the menus.
On a date.
One for the history books.]
I don't think I've ever seen so much chocolate in one spot.
Oh no? You mean oh yes.
[All the damn chocolate in this place. Part of him wonders if that chocolate fountain and those chocolate vats (purely decorations) are even that sanitary. But who cares. Something purely childish in him is oddly excited by this place and while he's certainly not about to run around, his eyes are a little wide and he makes himself aware of his surroundings as soon as they step in.]
[After actually taking his time to look over this menu and ordering a hot cocoa martini? That sounds great.]
I've always hoped I'd see so much chocolate in one spot.
SHINES
god that icon, chrollo don't
cute isnt he
Enough to kill
and he will. he will. ... but not hisoka.
Lame
SOME PEOPLE WOULD THINK THATS GOOD.

C for Casino! | May 15
Anyway, once he's in, he's quick to do two things!
First! Look for Hisoka and head his way. And second? Order a drink from the first server who passes by. Might as well go for the full experience, right? Only then does he properly greet his friend.]
You weren't kidding about Friday nights being busy.
no subject
Its makes me nervous, so many strangers.
[A smirk, looking up and at the crowd of people quickly burning holes in their pockets. He looks back, tilting his head slightly.]
How nice a familiar face is. And how nice you look, Josuke. [A glance to his drink.] Nice but bad, already pushing it, not that I'm going to stop you. [But hell certainly help you to be worse. Gambling, right? He's already at one of his tables.]

[E] WHATEVER IM LATE WHATEVER !!!! - backdated to mid-may
Joseph makes sure they're at least a block away from the Casino when he spots Hisoka, not wanting to get Giorno's casino in trouble for having a hubbub in front of it before it opens. ... Or at least, he doesn't want Giorno seeing the fight. To Giorno, Hisoka hasn't done anything wrong. Maybe to most... Hisoka hasn't done anything wrong.
When he's about ten feet behind Hisoka, he calls out.]
Hisoka!
[There's no questioning in his tone whether or not he's mad. Hisoka could probably tell that from before Joseph even opened his mouth, just from feeling such an angry presence near him.]
no subject
[He- saw this coming. Or something like this, considering what he said to Jonathan... if his guesses were true. So Joseph lied to him then, a shame. The boy should know better! But is seems Joseph wasn't aware of how much his grandfather disliked being lied to, or withheld from. So many secrets within a family, they should really try to communicate more.]
Mmn... Jojo. [Said as he turns, his voice deep, his lips low. He looks- pleased, and is. That tone in Joseph's voice making his body heat up, making something sultry get into the way he speaks and looks at the younger man now, blazer dropping to the ground.]
I didn't- [Lifts a hand.]
Know you were scheduled for today. [Head-tilt.]
