The Invitations

[ Any friend of Odin's will receive in their inbox a hurried, frantic text message - or twelve - that might either be an illegible mash of words (including "cousin", "lord" and "hennengh") followed by the date and the address of the party he's throwing this weekend, or else a long and detailed list of instructions on when to show up and what to bring and what to wear. Books, tomatoes, cool dresses, sweet swords, anything to do with ponies or otherwise somehow fit for royalty, things of that nature. Solid gold is also fine.

But "friend", in this case, might just mean a person he's seen on the street. "In their inbox", in that case, might mean "in their face", and "frantic text message" might be "frantic scream". Either way! Odin's throwing a party to welcome his cousin and his Lord to America. Whoever you are, whether you've met him before today or not, you're invited! It's a weekend-long party that he refuses to stop until Monday, so if you want to go home at any point or filter back in the next day, you're more than welcome, but he's expecting you to sleepover on Saturday so everyone can stay up until daybreak gossiping about girls and boys and feelings and the horrific all-encompassing eldritch darkness that thrives within all of us.

Welcome, friends and foes, to the new reality TV show sensation: BIG BROTHER 3000!

Contestants are loaded up into a launch shuttle bright and early to reach their new home for the next three weeks. They are asked to please take the first few days to acclimate to the new environment. Following that, the first of three challenges will begin. Characters are, of course, highly encouraged to mention the brand of everything and everything they've ever used, touched, or thought about while on the shuttle. Nearly every inch inside has some kind of product placement or opportunity to advertise in it. Don't let the folks back home down! And folks back home? Feel free to call in!

OOC Notes: The show will last from the 19th to the 9th. Characters are free to leave at any time, but will not be able to return once they leave. For challenges, while ICly, these will only take one to a few hours to complete, for OOC purposes these challenges will go up a week before we expect to see a result. The first challenge oocly goes up on the 19th but won’t ICly start/finish until the 26th so there is time to thread it out. In Heropa, there is a house.

It’s an ordinary looking house, to be sure: two visible stories, a fairly well-manicured lawn, a cheery paint job and a rather jolly looking jack-o-lantern sitting out on the front step. From this house, you will see or hear something that compels you to go inside. Is it a cry of pain from an innocent animal? A woman’s scream? No, no, not all of you are heroes. Perhaps you see some recreational drugs in the window, ready to be snatched, or you covet some of the other goods inside, evidently unguarded by a single soul. Or maybe the house calls to you as your soccer ball is kicked into the backyard, or the top sheet of a stack of papers you were carrying flies on in, carried by a gentle breeze.

Whatever the scenario, you pass its property lines, and everything seems normal for a moment until things simply go black.
