WHAT: Luke the sweetheart tinkerer droid-ally made poor power-depleted Kay a charging station¹, Kay asked Cassian if it was okay for Kay to stay at Luke's as if he needs Cassian's approval or it's any of Cassian's business², Cassian totally just invited himself over to keep Kay company^{still 2}, and it somehow turned into a board game party. And card games. But definitely D&D.

[Jyn's mostly been lurking, but at seeing Han's excitement and his hurrying to get towards the man she doesn't recognize, she meanders over casually, thumbs tucked into the front pockets of her trousers.] Does it matter how he got it? Don't you know better than to question a good thing?

Cassian appeared beside her, with a slight smile, and interjected with a nod to each:]

Jyn Erso, Lando Calrissian.

[And with an air of 'as you were', fell back out of the way.]

[Jyn shares an appreciative glance towards Cassian before bringing her attention back to the man being introduced.

She extends her hand with as warm and inviting a smile as she can manage. Protocol.]

Lando, nice to meet you.

Likewise. [ He'll actually stop shuffling his cards and take Jyn's hand for a kiss. Don't mind him, that's just his way when meeting pretty women. ] So you're from our galaxy too, then?

[Cassian glances back, and stays looking, eyebrow raised, to see how Jyn reacts to that. Making the necessary internal preparations not to laugh.]

[She goes to tug her hand back when he pulls it forward, contrary to her expectations. When he lifts his head, he'll be greeted with a very flat, very unamused, borderline insulted expression on Jyn's face - followed by the abrupt tugging back of her hand, giving it a little shake as though trying to rid it of microscopic entities. She considers him for a very long, quiet moment.]

... Uh, yeah. [Let the curtness of that response sink in for a second.] And in all my travels through all of the Rims, literally no one has done that before.

[ Lando just chuckles. She's rougher around the edges than Leia, but she has that same spirit to her, he can see. Good. ]

A movement somewhere in the room caused a chain reaction leading to a glass of cool liquid spilling onto Lando's lap.

Cassian's as genuinely surprised as anyone.]

I won't argue that. [She only offers a wicked, wry sort of smirk, one to indicate that yes, she'd been travelling in all of the wrong circles and wouldn't know what a "right circle" might even look like.] Some would argue chivalry, too - that it's based on a lowered status of more feminine appearing-- [She's cut-off mid-sentence with the sudden (and random) spill of liquid onto Lando's lap. Brows furrow with slight confusion before she considers him for a moment, lazily handing over a napkin within arm's reach.] Seems something agrees with me.

[Hiding a smile—finding it oddly satisfying, even without knowing he'd had anything to do with it—Cassian turned away to rejoin Kay, and leave Jyn and Lando to their conversation.

He did like Lando. And even if he didn't, Jyn could handle herself. And regardless, Cassian hadn't been invited to participate. So leave them be.]

[ Lando had been listening with rapt attention, up until his drink tipped over onto his lap. He stands, wiping off the liquid as best he can with his hands, but he's going to need some towels for this. ]

You'll have to excuse me. I'd love to hear more about your opinion on chivalry, but for now I need to find the fresher.

I wanna know where he got it 'cause I want my own deck. [Said as if this is a completely obvious motivation. Besides, Lando's answered some of his late-night questions before anyway, this is just a change of pace from the usual sleep-deprived bullshit Han comes up with.]
