[Cassian and Kay probably arrive first. Jyn if she wants to come after Cassian tells her where they're going to be. Veronica if she wants to come after being informed all of her housemates will be vanishing for the night. Starting then or later, Kay and Cassian (or at least Cassian) will apologize profusely to Luke for so many people showing up on his doorstep. Though hopefully Luke himself invited at least some of them.]

[We're all hoping Cisco DMs a D&D campaign for the Star Wars folks, making the total meta nerdery more stunning than the sun. Though there may also be attempting to recreate Dejarik pieces out of available materials, and drawing Sabacc cards from memory unless Lando actually has a deck, and who are we kidding of course he does. At least one game always near the charging station since K-2SO can't move, but side games can of course pop up elsewhere. (If anyone's too cool for D&D, which pffffft. Cassian's character will be a halfling bard named Jenny.) ]

[So you know that teenage tagalong Jyn and Cassian brought with them? Yep. As the games start, she retreats into the kitchen, citing a need to explore somebody else's kitchen. Luke Skywalker's kitchen. Holy shiiiiiiiit.

Anyway, here's Veronica in the kitchen, snacking on whatever she can find. Occasionally, if someone drops by for refreshments, she brings out a cup and works her slushie magic, and quickly establishes herself as the go-to for beverages. But she doesn't try to go near where everyone's currently playing—she's not sure how to play some of the newer games, and the older ones are the kinds she stopped playing after she hit puberty and started worrying about what people thought of her hobbies.]

[Guess who's showing up with a worryingly huge amount of alcohol? Yes, it's Han Solo, and don't ask him where he got all that alcohol because some of it was most likely obtained with less than legal means. The perks of being a smuggler, y'know.]

[ Han Solo, you are not innocent. Luke stared at him for a moment, rubbing his hands over his face. What in the Force was he supposed to do here!? No amount of training could prepare him for something like this?! ]

[ After a moment, Luke just stepped aside, trying desperately not to let out the cry of frustration he wanted to unleash. ]

Anyway. Han steps inside, hauling his bag of alcoholic drinks in with him like he's a scruffier, more alcohol-laden version of Santa Claus, not that he'd know who that is.]

[ Lando absolutely has a sabacc deck because that's just how he rolls. He'll be dealing hands to whoever's interested, and anyone who isn't interested in a little friendly gambling among friends will get an offer of a fortune telling. Sabacc cards are versatile like that. ]

[ As if on cue, Lando invites himself into the house, stealing a promising looking bottle from Han's bag, inspecting it appraisingly. ]

Hm. Looks good enough. Hey Han, Luke.

[ Cisco heard two things which piqued his interest: Game night, and Star Wars people. Specifically, the Star Wars people were having a game night. He may have only briefly spoken with Han and Luke on the Network, but he needed to be involved in this, stat. He isn't sure what games they're playing, but he brings his D&D books because the idea of meshing those two loves of his life-- Star Wars and tabletop roleplaying-- is too good to pass up.

He feels a little out of place, but he's set up at a table in the living room for people to create characters, offering assistance and answers wherever he's needed. ]

Any ideas for characters?

[ In a break from nerding out with a bunch of fictional characters, Cisco finds his way to the kitchen. Where he sees a girl who looks just as out of place among the Star Wars people as he does. He grabs himself a handful of chips and greets her with a smile. ]

Hey. This is crazy, right? It's not just me? I'm a little scared I'm living in a weird fever dream right now.

[Sabacc yes—interspersing a hand now and then during interludes to balance his participation in the D&D campaign. Cassian's only a competent, not great, player in all other respects, but damn his inscrutability and talent for seeing through others' bluffs. Between him (who plays the players) and Kay (who plays the odds), they'd make one sabacc master. But one doesn't really get to tag team like that.

Fortune telling: hell thank you no.

Unless he can get Lando to inflict it on do it for Kaytoo. And listen in on the ensuing responses.

…But first things first. Or whenever they both happen to be in the same place at the same time that isn't necessarily the table. Cassian will offer an introductory nod. And surmise from ambiently observing everyone's interactions:]

[Since this is the game to which Kay has easiest access and by the same token can't escape—and perhaps as much to watch Kay play it as to play himself—Cassian's committed to joining in. His eyes have been flitting through manuals and stat charts with subdroid but supra-average rapidity; and the quality of the game design is evidenced by how infrequently he derisively snorts or has to refrain from scribbling margin corrections re: tactics or logistics.

Now and then he'll strangle back some kind of reaction and slide over a page for Kay to look at; whenever a creature illustration/description uncannily matches something they've actually encountered.

War games has never been something he's quite been able to stomach anybody enjoying (Dyv and Linnë would have to pull rank to get him to participate with them, and he'd always distort things as wildly as he could). But this somehow is of a different flavor… and it's kind of relaxing to have many of its aspects fall easily into his strong suits.

Finishing, Cassian flicked the character form he'd been filling out over to Cisco.

…though it might also fall into the sightline of someone else who might notice things like female, short, dark-haired, dry wit, natural leader, good at baton fighting, convincing speaker, name contains letters J, Y, and N…]

It's not just you. [Veronica has been stationing herself at the kitchen for this entire night, ostensibly to dispense slushies, really because the novelty of meeting people from Star Wars hasn't yet worn off.] I keep expecting Darth Vader to walk in at any moment asking for a raspberry slushie. Or whatever it is he drinks.

[Does he drink? She's not too sure.]

I didn't think my roommates even knew Luke Skywalker.

[Is that a sabacc deck? Han makes an immediate beeline for Lando upon seeing his cards, because it has been such a long time since Han has played sabacc that he's not going to pass up the opportunity to play it once more.]

How'd you get that deck all this way from our galaxy?

[ Luke was two seconds away from saying hopefully no one else, and then Lando. He let out a breath; well, at least it was Lando. He was a different kind of scoundrel -- a lot calmer than Han. Maybe he could keep things from getting too crazy? Maybe? ]

[ His eyes flicked back to Han. ]

No, I have no idea who else is going to show.

Hey, Lando. And it had better be, that one cost me thirty bucks.

[That is maybe the only bottle in Han's bag that was actually bought, come to think of it. He looks at Luke with an expression that says you are a great friend but a terrible party host.]

How many people are you expecting to show up? I'm gonna go see about setting things up, it'd be nice to get an estimate of how wild it's gonna get. [He's actually just needling Luke, he is well aware this is not, in fact, A Party.]

[ Lando's well used to operating in a crowd, though a gathering at somebody's house is a little different than a crowded cantina. Still, he pats Luke on the shoulder with a smile. ]

Don't get too scared. We promise not to break anything.

[ More teasing. This is definitely not that kind of party. ]

[Jyn's mostly been lurking, but at seeing Han's excitement and his hurrying to get towards the man she doesn't recognize, she meanders over casually, thumbs tucked into the front pockets of her trousers.] Does it matter how he got it? Don't you know better than to question a good thing?

[Jyn had decided to stay behind.

Initially, at least.

She'd talked herself out of something so .. social, something so out of her general comfort zone with ease. Stay in at "home," alone, while the others went to Luke's, continue the progress of hacking into her communicator, disassembling/reassembling the unit with such frequency she wouldn't have to pause at all in the process .. or .. be around people. People from her galaxy, sure, but .. people, nonetheless.

Eventually, after she's put together her communicator for the second time, she grumbles something to herself, gathers her coat, and heads out the door. She arrives at Luke's a short while later, hesitating at the door to raise a fist and knock.]

[Somebody, if not himself, must have noticed and commented on her presence through a window, because Cassian beats Luke to the door.

His initial expectations of just him and Kay, with Luke as long as the Jedi wanted or indulged them but who could understandably plead off, had been completely overturned. It was a gathering. Which, was not necessarily his comfort zone either… except with primarily other Alliance vets, it had such a familiar atmosphere, they could have been at Base cantina.

Except even more casual. Because no one was in uniform. Or had to keep part of the brain always ready for alarms. Or ignore a newly empty seat.

…In any case: there's more color in his face than usual. In… a good way?

Helps that he's looking, and smiling, at her.

…Though with the tone he gets every time he knows he's stating the stupidly obvious. But kind of enjoying that he's saying it to someone other than Kay, thus more likely to accept the social convention uncomplaining.]

[Jyn's feet are almost beginning to turn to lead her back to her house when she hears the click of the door. Her gaze lifts with some apprehension, expecting to be greeted with the sight of Luke - who has been nothing but kind so far, but is still, as far as Jyn is concerned, more of a stranger than anything - but is instead met with the beautifully familiar Cassian.

Without hesitation, her lips curl into a smile, one to reflect his.

She nods, gently tugging at the hem of the sleeve of her coat.]
