[It's true, he owes the human nothing after giving a confession like so. But he felt he needed to hammer out a few issues he had, many issues actually. And they have common ground, the feeling gets stronger the more it feels like.

[Because he can't. Even if he wanted to, he doesn't have the powers anymore. It's a bit of a relief, albeit a bitter one that carries with it overtones of failure and worthlessness. If there's a truce, he won't have to deal with trying to fend off something way more powerful than he is somehow.

At least, it wasn't him having to admit it. At least, it's not him giving up. He's accepting someone else's truce, so that's still on his terms.

[He expected a struggle: prideful words, struggling, denial, refusal. No, he gets the most quiet reply ever coming from Tetsuo's mouth. The human has been a source of surprises tonight. Yes, it's an admittance that sounds tinged with the same salty edge he came to expect of Tetsuo, but the way he said it carries a world of difference for the pokemon.

For once, it's starting to feel like the right thing. He's never dealt with humans on their terms like this before.
