[Rocks didn't have to endure the bullshit he does. Rocks have it made, Kaneda. Don't say you wouldn't want to be one for a day.

Kaneda's got his work cut out for him, but Tetsuo's at least unresisting as he's pulled fully onto the bed with all the grace and agency of a wet towel.

Another soft sound, a grating noise from the back of the throat, is Tetsuo's best answer to that. He does, eventually move one arm to vaguely wave in Kaneda's direction in an apathetic, half-hearted attempt to fend him off.]

[He can honestly say he's never felt that, Tetsuo. What you do in your free time worries him.

It takes a bit of effort, but Kaneda manages to get Tetsuo up onto the bed, finishing off by lifting his feet up and pushing him towards the pillow.]

Ngh! There.

Nooowwww....

[He'll just, plop down on the side of the bed, leaning back on his hands.]

Seriously, out with it. What's got you all moping?

's nothing, Kaneda..

[He sounds more tired than exasperated, now successfully transferred to what's become his spot on the bed. That happened. He's a little surprised Kaneda followed through that far, but he's not complaining.


Okay he is complaining, just, for once, not about anything Kaneda did.]

[Instinctively, Kaneda's hand runs through that mess of black hair, fingers combing lightly against the strands. A habit by now, since he knew Tetsuo wouldn't fight it.]

This--[A gesture to all of him.]--is nothing?

[iamtetsuo]

[For some unfathomable reason, Kaneda's not buying it. Tetsuo would be more annoyed by now if he did, because that's absolutely fair to Kaneda.

He doesn't move a muscle as Kaneda's hand trails through his hair, letting his head shift when Kaneda's fingers find a knot. The touch is gentle enough it doesn't hurt whatsoever, but it's fairly clear that the main progress is moving the new Tetsuo-shaped piece of furniture from the floor to the bed.]

Sure.

[Anything more complex would have been difficult to make out, considering how quiet his voice is.]

[A soft sigh escapes as Tetsuo answers, eyes cast up and idly focusing on the ceiling. Tetsuo was being difficult on purpose, and fishing for information wasn't going to do anything at this point.

But he knew. Something was definitely bothering Tetsuo down to his core. But how to draw it out.]

[Well that's a first. Honestly though.. anything else to think about is nice.]

Apparently they expect me to do traffic reporting when Heropa's a goddamn jungle. Had to listen to some old ma reem me out over my 'performance'.

[yes, he is using finger quotes.]

[Wait. What.]

[You know. A jungle out there. One he couldn't see, but... one he's got issues with, but..]

[Kaneda's hands automatically gesture up, animated and towards nothing in particular.]
