Tetsuo's eyes track him, head following as the cat-shaped object gracefully leaps up and gently bats at his face. His hand comes up on its own, trying to touch fur for confirmation anyway.]

[Yep, there is a furry paw there. It's quite soft, too, since Sissel is small enough that he still has some of his kitten-fur.

When Tetsuo touches his paw, he will lean forward to sniff at it.]

You seem awake to me, and it's perfectly normal to talk to cats. Komasan and Perry talk to me all the time, even when I'm like this.

What's your name, anyway? You're pretty interesting.

[He sounds almost hesitant. As if, you know, this somehow is not normal.]

Tetsuo. Okay.

I'm Sissel.

[After a short pause, so he can stop sniffing at Tetsuo and pulls back and sits down on the bed, he starts talking again.]

Would it make you feel better if I was in my human form? Then we wouldn't have to talk like this, we could use words instead.

[How does life keep being more and more weird? Come to think of it, the cat mentioned human form before, but he was too busy focusing on the 'but...cat' aspect to catch it before.]

What's a komainu? And how does that make it different?

[Maybe if he focuses, he can get across a mental image of impressive, powerful looking beasts with curled, cloudlike manes and giant eyebrows in a against a small bit of building still standing against general rubble. One's probably half-shattered.

Or maybe he can't get it across. But he'll make that extra effort just to bitch about dealing with youkai.]

[Oh yep suddenly mental image there. Sissel's ears flick back, and then forward again, and then back and forth a few times as he tries to process the fact that there are images in his brain now. More cool powers!]

Ordinarily, Tetsuo's personal space is an important thing, practically sacred if he wants it. But this is a cat. He's grown fond of cats in general. Its paws are allowed wherever they generally want to be, as long as claws aren't involved.]

But how does telepathy work? I've talked to lots of people in their heads but I never could show them things.
