He'd tried to kill him. No one in his world would ever give him consideration beyond a blood feud. He'd expect it. Hell, he'd initiate it? That should have been the end of it all, whether or not the kid survived.

[The confusion on Tetsuo's face, and the way it twists into a matter of different emotions is what Kaneda was hoping for. Because Tetsuo can't come up with an excuse for this one. That mug exists here because Ken knew, and there was no prompting from anyone else in the house to do so.
