[Komasan's adventures in the kitchen were pretty frequent, he loved making all sorts of things to share with the people he was currently mooching off of. Chocolate milk, teas, coffee, he brought in free ice cream from his job sometimes, too. It went without saying that he was in there quite a lot.

So imagine his surprise when he hears someone call his name during one of his many trips, almost falling off the chair he stood on as he mixed drinks and powders over on the counter.

Thankfully he catches himself just in time, and would you look at that! N5 had a lot of cats, but Komasan has never seen one like this before. ...Especially not one that could say his name.]

MONGE!! It finally happened, I have my very own guardian angel, zura!

[What else could he possibly be?!]

[Yep, that's Komasan. Sissel would be smiling in amusement, if cats could actually smile. Instead, the amusement just comes across in his voice.]

I'm not sure how much of a guardian angel I am, whatever that is. I was just looking for you.

[monge]

[Not a guardian angel...? Or possibly a very unsure rookie. Either way, Komasan tilts his head.]

A-Ah... what other reason is there to look for me, zura?

[Is this a kidnapping?]

[Yes, it is totally a kidnapping. Watch out, Komasan, he's going to ransom you for cans of tuna.]

Yeah, you told me to come meet Miss Maya here. It took me a bit longer than I thought it would to get here though.

[monge]

[Look, cats can be really sneaky and--

Wait, what?]

I-I didn't tell any cats where Miss Maya was, z-zura! The only person I told was...

[Gasp.]

Monge... Mr. Sissel must have the power...to talk to cats, zura!!

[Amazing.]

[What.]

Well, you're not wrong.

[Seriously, he is just staring now.]

Komasan, I AM Sissel.

[monge]

[Oh.

...Oooohhhhhhhh.]

M-MONGEEE!!

[It just seems like a screaming kind of day today.]

T-They gave you the power to turn into a cat, zura?!

More like 'the power to turn into a human'. I was always a cat back home. I just didn't realize that I could change back into one, until someone read my file for me.

[monge]

[The file, of course...]

Did...a-ah, did you wake up as a human here too then, z-zura?

[His voice is hushed, like he doesn't want anyone to overhear him or something.]

It's so scary, y-you were so calm, I wouldn't have ever known, zura...

Yeah, I did. And it was a little startling, but not really scary. Being able to talk to humans, that was pretty useful.

[He hops up onto the counter near where Komasan is, and sniffs at the stuff he was mixing up.]

What's this?

[monge]

[Yup, there's no doubt now...if there was even any to begin with. This has to be Sissel. Gosh, how does he manage to be so cool all the time? It's astonishing. Komasan hid right away and tried to sleep it off, he only accidentally activated his powers while he slumbered. There was crying. A lot of crying.

But nope, Mr. Cool Guy here just has someone read his file for him and everything's just peachy. Komasan can only wish he could be that cool.]

O-Oh, um...

[He fiddles with his things, trying to make his "display" more presentable now that he has a guest.]

I-I was making c-coffee... D-Did you want any, zura?

[cantread]

[Don't cry, Komasan! Sissel can be the strong one and help you out! And maybe someday you can learn the art of cool from him.

But for now, he is still sniffing at the coffee.]

Sure. I'll turn back into a human so I can have some. It smells bitter, is it supposed to be bitter?

[monge]

[Why would he turn human just to drink coffee? Sissel sure can be silly sometimes, but he won't stop him.]

H-Heh, yeah... It's really really bitter, zura...

[And boy, does he know it.]

I can get you some milk and sugar if it's your first time, it'll make it taste monge~ better, zura.

Well if it's your recommendation, then I'll try it out that way.

[He will stay up there and watch curiously for a bit, as he has no idea how coffee is even made.]

[monge]

[Komasan hops off his chair and toddles over to the fridge, grabbing the milk. Thankfully he stocked up, milk being one of his more favorite drinks, and this way Kaneda can't yell at him for wasting his food. He just doesn't understand how to be a good host.

When he gets back, he pours some into one of the cups, as well as slipping in a spoonful of sugar, sliding the mug over to his little furry friend when he finishes. Nothing goes into his own mug, Komasan drinks his coffee completely black by the look of things. He just takes a sip right away as he eagerly waits to see if Sissel likes it or not.]

Go ahead! Coffee is an adult drink, so everyone will think you're really mature after you have some, zura!

[The whole process is interesting, and Sissel watches intently until Komasan is done. Once the cup has been slid over to him, he jumps down from the counter and takes a few seconds to shift into his human form. Then he takes a sip from the cup.]

Huh, this is pretty good.

[After smelling how bitter it was, he hadn't been expecting it to be tasty. The milk does help, though.]

I guess this makes me a real adult now, huh?

[monge]

[Hooray, coffee was a success! It always thrills Komasan's fuzzy heart when he can share something that means a lot to him.]

Congratulations on your new adulthood, zura!

[Although even if he didn't like coffee, Sissel will always be a cool adult in his eyes.]

What are you gonna do with it now, zura?

I dunno, I've never had responsibilities before. I guess I'll have to get a job and pay bills.

[Bills he knows about, because Sissel got to listen in when they were explained to Kamila one time.]

[monge]

Getting a job is a lot of fun, I think you'd be really good at it, zura!

[Although Komasan experiences may be...a little different than the average person's.]

I think it would depend on what the job is, honestly.

[Though it sounds like Komasan has some experience with working.]

What do you do for work?

[monge]

[Oh, let him tell you.]

They gave me the best job as soon as I woke up, zura~!

[Although he didn't actually...go to it until the whole Pan thing blew over. Shame on him.]

I get to make all sorts of monge~ ice cream flavors! Or sometimes I make the ice cream look really pretty-- OR even better, sometimes I just eat all the soft cream, zura~

[He drools just thinking about it.]
