[He stands up, having landed on his bottom the moment Inuyasha dropped him.]

[He's inside the house, he's inside the house. Here Komasan went to see what's up and he LET AN INTRUDER INSIDE THE HOUSE. What kind of guardian is he?!

[Look. Maybe for something else, Maya might have had her little magical sword at the ready. But Maya's kind of learned by now that Komasan has a lot of emergencies like.. too-big dust bunnies, okay. So while she's hurrying, she's not exactly at full alert mode.]

Komasan?! What's the matter?

[She calls as she hurries down the steps, hopping down the last step and nearly losing her balance, leaning forward to keep from tipping over. From that dumb-ass looking position she notices that there is a black-haired wan-chan Inuyasha in the house.

[Great. Now two people have seen him.]

[With a loud, irritated sigh, he falls and leans back against the wall. He should have just gone back to De Chima.]

[Look, dust bunnies are gross and when they get that huge, well that's just a sign of poor house cleaning. How can anyone live in a house when there's that much dirt-

Komasan hurries over to Maya and gently clings to her for protection. As everyone can see, he's a very good komainu.]

[Maya looks down at Komasan, surprised-- and then pouts at Inuyasha.]

[He folds his arms in his sleeves, absolutely unapologetic about being a huge teen jerk.]

The youkai in my time don't run crying to their owners.

[Komasan would argue, even get angry that Inuyasha would imply Maya was his owner. That's just an insult to any youkai, including himself.

But he's Komasan, he finds himself too distracted by what else he says to get angry right now.]

Wait...H-How many youkai do you know, zura?! Humans aren't supposed to see youkai like this, zura!

[Maya...Maya thought he was a kid this whole time. Was that...why she was so nice to him?]

[Maya looks back over her shoul-- wait, no, she's still scolding Inuyasha here!!]

[He looks down at Komasan, noticing his defeated look.]

[First Komasan runs into a mean not-squirrel, then it turns out his relationship with his best friend was apparently never on the same page, and now he's going to get eaten. He's not sure if this can get any worse, but he knows he can't handle it. Eyes full of tears, he looks between both Maya and Inuyasha, head turning rapidly back and forth. His mouth quivers as he tries his best not to burst out crying, but he knows it's going to come out sooner or later.

So not to embarrass himself any further, he takes off running without a word, going someplace where he can be miserable all by himself.

[Maya stares after Komasan, mouth agape for a moment, before she turns her attention back to Inuyasha, striding right up to him. Usually scolding is Pearly's game, but poor Komasan!]
