[There's some shuffling as Kazu hastily grabs a shirt and pulls it over himself. Not quick enough that Kaneda won't catch a glimpse of the huge scar ripping down Kazu's right shoulder, but he's probably seen it by now anyway. By the time Kaneda reaches the bedside, Kazu's managed to pull himself into a full sitting position to face him, taking the bowl one-handed and settling it into his lap. Getting his legs to fold was kind of a trial, but at this stage moving them a little was good for them.

Kaneda... he sounds good, at least. Looks more or less okay. Kazu feels wrong not saying anything, but. That can wait a minute.]

So where'd you get this...? [hot or not, he can't resist taking a bite of tofu and groaning in appreciation.] This is amazing.

[Kaneda doesn't really hesitate--living in a children's home, and using communal showers made him completely unphased to the idea of someone else naked.

But the scar doesn't go unnoticed, and for a moment, he can't help but feel his stomach jump up to his throat. Not because of the image--he'd certainly gotten (and given) worse. But a small part of him feared that was his doing, despite closer inspection revealing it'd been healed over.

His eyes do dart to Kazu's head, where the pistol had hit him full force. Looking for any signs of damaged, if anything.]

...Huh?

[Snapping out of his daze, he straightens up in that chair, rocking it slightly.]

You like it?

[Head wounds always look worse than they are. At the site of the impact, there are a couple of stitches, but even with just a few days of rest it looks much better.]

It's incredible! Tastes just like home!

[The way Kaneda's face lights up, you'd think it was Christmas morning. His whole body sits up, gripping the back of that chair and leaning back, the smile plastered across his face so side it could split in half.]

Not bad for my first time, then...!!

[Cue jazz hands.]

Surprise!

Oi, you nearly died a few days ago! Take it easy.

[rassera]

It wasn't THAT bad! C'mon, give me a little credit!

[Kaneda, he literally could've wiped the floor with you if you didn't knock sense into him AND if his bones didn't start to grind into powder.

But he lifts up his shirt a little, showing his midsection where Kazu landed the punch, showing a nice (not really) yellowing bruise on the road to healed.]

[Kazu inhales and lets it out slowly, hand twitching with the urge to reach out and touch, which he doesn't follow through on.]

Hah... I really owe you, Kaneda. I could have killed someone.

[rassera]

[His hands let go of that shirt, letting it fall back down as he slumps his arms on the chair, chin resting on his wrists to look back.]

You did most of the work yourself, you know. I just took the blows.

[Kazu was struggling with himself the whole time. Sure, the pistol whip might've sped things up, but if there's anything that was proven during that fight, it's that Kaneda wasn't the only one fighting Pan's curse.


Kazu was too.]

[He cracks a smile.]

Buuuuuut I won't say no to some takeout sometime!

[He grimaces a little, a hand falling to one of his legs. He's happy enough to move on without comment.]

I don't know if I'll ever be able to eat take-out again after this udon. Maybe I'll ask Nakayama or Sumera;mdash;Kururu to show me how to cook something... Deal?

[rassera]

[Shit, Kazu. Did you just make Kaneda a little...flustered? Cooking's not been incredibly easy. He can't pick it up as quick as a physical activity.

So to say it's actually good? It gets a small smile, hidden by his arms resting on that chair.]
