[There's a soft little nudge with his shoulder, obviously teasing.]

[He stands up, pizza still in hand as he walks around his room--the walls are mostly bare, painted over in white and almost...suffocating in how empty they look.

One free hand rests against the wall, raking the primed wall with his fingers.]

I'm gonna paint something there. Any ideas what it should be?

[Max thinks for a few moments, considering.]

I think you should paint something important to you here. Something that makes you happy, or something that reminds you why you keep going. Nothing that can disappear.

[This makes him think, pacing back and forth while he runs his hand along the wall. Something that won't disappear...


His first thought was a city. Ironic, how after everything back home, he still considered Neo Tokyo in existence. He knew of its destruction. But everytime he thinks about it...it's not the ruins that come to mind. It's the lights...colours...everything you'd find beautiful, with a rotten core.

...And yet...]

A city. A GIANT city. The whole wall!

That sounds like it would be a great idea. Plus, the wall definitely won't be bare after that.

[Kaneda's smile practically splits his face, drawing little invisible pictures with his finger in brainstorming.]

Right.

Makes the room look a little more full.


[Kaneda's not exactly one for furniture. Aside from his bed, all he's got in his room is a jukebox and a dog bed. Kinda makes for... interesting interior design.]

Besides, think of the photos you can take of it! If you're into that.

[Because Max is totally one to geek over that stuff.]

[His comm's his first, and that's only for snapchat.]
