[His biorhythms sing 'not great but going to run again.' It's obvious his sound has been awful for a while, works jammed, parts that should have been moving in sync out of rhythm and grinding down on each other, mutually wearing. It's plain luck nothings broken for good.

[Glancing at him now, her frown deepens for a moment. Maybe that wouldn't be enough . . . and honestly, Kururu could lay into him with exactly how much he'd worn himself down better than she could. There had to be something else. Something only she could know that Kazu should know too.

. . . Or maybe something only Kogarasumaru could know about. That should be passable, right?]

Mm, but if you want even more proof, how about the time Ikki led the team against those octuplets? And we all thought he'd finally let power go to his head until we heard his real plan through the vents.

[Kazu's gaze cut away from her for a brief moment. She's not wrong about him being lucky but he also doesn't want to talk about it.]

I'll accept it this time, but only because I don't actually think you're a double.

Good. I didn't want to have to resort to extreme measures to convince you.

[She finally takes her hand away, leaning on the edge of the bed beside him instead and . . . fairly pointedly ignoring as much as she can of his injuries. All of that can be worried about later. As long as Kazu's accepted his fate to stay in bed and rest there's no reason to drag it out right now.

Which really only leaves one important piece of information to discuss.]

So. Kaneda-kun. Seems like he really cares about you.
