[Maya calls in what... sort of counts as a stage whisper.

She gets up into a sitting position, Komasan held in one arm like a toddler on her hip, and shoves her communicator in her shirt for safe-keeping. Because she's classy.

If he's turning around to leave, that means he wanted to be here-- but she's in the way. Maya can fix that.]

Did you wanna use this? I can go upstairs.

[Tetsuo's body stiffens ramrod straight at the sound of his name. Not for the first or last time, it's really unnerving to not have the option comfortingly waiting to just... look, and find out.

His head turns. His body follows, keeping himself in profile to her. The answer is yes. Normally, he'd have no problem in saying as much.

....aaand he turns away again to go.]

Shhhh-t-t-t-t!!

[It's an almost desperate noise as a wobbly, sleepy Maya reaches out, still attempting to stop him as though her arm is at all useful in doing that.]

Waidasecon'.

[And before there can be any protest, Maya gets up, Komasan still on her hip, and puts the TV remote back on the table, moving toward Tetsuo as if to pass him.]

[With one rare exception, he's stayed pretty clearly out of range for her to grab; it's pretty predictable how he edges away from her, eyes tracking her every movement. However, he starts circling around, orbiting enough to make it fairly clear he's moving towards the couch like he'd initially intended to do.

Fine. He'll take it. She left it, so she doesn't get any say about that anymore.]

[She stops to let him walk around her, pausing-- just watching. So he can take this for himself after all, huh?

Good. She smiles, rubbing at her eye with the back of her wrist.]

There's still rice in the fridge if you want it.
