Maurtia Falls
Lucina's main haunts are still in this city of conflict -- same as it has been, those two and a half years ago. Gods, has it been so long already? So much else has changed...her, too.
She resides on a residential block in a rental house, and might be encountered in the wee hours of the morning on her way out to work, or perhaps on the rare day off, tearing up the sad excuse for a garden she'd tried (sort of) to maintain (and failed to) in preparation for winter.
Downtown, she frequents a cafe and pastry shop where she's made many a friend and good memory. Catching her before she hustles off on patrol or another duty is a great chance for a free treat and a chat...or perhaps a means of teaming up for a bit of crime busting?
At Helix, the base of operations for Aegis Force, practically her second home, she is constantly either at work or training for work. It's not as frantic and despairing as the month before, so she can be a cheerful spotter or sparring partner, or she can help with some kitchen chores or monitor duty! She also likes to take her breaks on the rooftop helipad, enjoying the cooler air as the weather starts to behave more like autumn.
De Chima
It's not a place she visits too often, but at least once a week, Lucina tries to make time to volunteer at the O'Malley Clinic. She's not much of a nurse, but if you ever wanted to know what it feels like to be bandaged up nearly immobile as a mummy for a simple scrape? She's your girl. Also don't you dare try to escape until treatment is over! She can double as a bouncer.
There's always a chance to catch her in the skies, as flying is her favorite pastime -- and it beats traffic. Hopefully she's not spying any trouble from on high, but if you're in a pinch, she can swoop down and lend a hand (or sword)!

misc sorta
perhaps it's why, when he'd heard lucina mention pumpkin carving off-handedly months and months ago and again more recently, that's what he invites her over to do. 'tis the season, and when he asks her over, archie assures her that any failed attempts won't go to waste. pumpkin is a very vertasile food ingredient, no matter how carved to pieces it is. mostly when it's all shoved into a blender and puréed.
he only has two set out when she arrives, having noted that if she felt she wanted more practice, she can bring her own. maybe one of those plastic pumpkin carving kits they make for kids would be useful, too, seeing as all he has is a bunch of cooking knives and some of the woodworking equipment darin had given him a while back. furiously washed.]
Yo, Lu! [he greets, cheerfully. crobat is visible behind him, in the kitchen. it's... chewing on one of the pumpkins. archie hasn't seemed to have noticed. hope lucina brought more!]
no subject
[she did bring more; like, maybe more than she should've? but she doesn't know the rules here. she's got a box of 'em -- it's what greets him first, actually, as it's up in her line of sight. there's those aforementioned plastic kits in there somewhere, too, just dunked in there all willy-nilly because who cares, right?
she waves a couple fingers, floating through the door.]
Could you direct me along toward the kitchen? I don't want to bump into anything by accident...
no subject
Straight forward. [he says, reaching in to take a couple pumpkins out to lighten the load-- not that lucina needs it, but maybe she'll be able to see over the lip of the box...] A little to the left.
--Ah! Crobat! [she'll have to do with those directions. archie's run off.]
no subject
Crobat? What's he--oh! [she startles, then covers her mouth to stifle a laugh.] Oh, no...!
no subject
Here I thought he was into watermelons... ah, well.
[archie saunters over to the box to look through it, taking out the few packets of kid's grade pumpkin carving utensils.]
We have a gourd Pokémon back home, ya know. Pumpkaboo. Ghost an' grass type. They evolve into Gourgeist and the bodies look like the carved things here. Gotta tell ya, my first Halloween involved several awful double takes.

O'Malley Clinic
"Hey, Lucina. Just wanted to say, you did good last month. You know, with that thing in the park."
no subject
But it's not something she wants to drag out and lay at Anders' feet. So when he does greet her and bring it up, she looks confused for only a beat before pushing a wan smile on.
"Ah, I...You have my thanks. For saying so. I hope you weren't overburdened here without the extra aid."
Not that she added that much, but she imagined the influx of injuries was no small chore, even for someone with magic in their repertoire.
no subject
"You got that Jonathan fellow to me in good time. Any later and he might have bled out." Anders had never healed anyone with corrosive blood until that day. He's pretty sure there's still a few holes in the floor from where the poor guy dripped onto it. "His companion was relieved too."
no subject
She looks away, down at the folders in her hands. People far better off than those that had come in a week or so ago.
"Not everyone was so fortunate, though. That we didn't know it could reform...had we known, then maybe..."

it's not a conventional spar he'll see -- instead, a girl and her...shadow? well, a configuration of a shadow generated by the equipment in the room, mirroring her. or is she mirroring it? it's hard to tell, for Lucina is working very hard to keep in tandem with the posture and speed at which positions change. Falchion, her sword and heirloom, is held level while she holds position on her toes.
after a couple beats, she moves through a series of strikes, racing against the counters her make against her, trying to get ahead of it and--]
RAHH!
[cleave it in two.
there's a faint ding from a distant counter somewhere in the room as she relaxes, letting out her breath. it's only when she's straightening up, wiping her forehead, that she turns and glimpses the dark figure at the door. she double-takes before startling, eyes big.]
Oh-! Goodness...! [she thought he was a figment of her imagination at first! chasing shadows all afternoon and all...]
How...how long have you been standing there?
no subject
[ he replies, casually leaned against the door frame, arms crossed, before he pushes off and enters the room. ]
How does this work? Hard light constructs, maybe? Or are they only images.
no subject
she'd ask, but he's already steering the conversation before she can. she looks down to where her doppelganger had been, now just vacant tiles on the floor.]
Ah, it's...it depends on what you want, I believe. Some of the simulations Jacob and Archie have input have been pretty realistic... [her mouth twitches as she looks back up, shrugging as she sheathes her sword.] It seems like magic to me, but it's some kind of remarkable technology.
What brings you by Helix today? [she sure hopes he didn't deposit a bunch of injured people at their doorstep...]
no subject
[ he leaves it at that and walks past her, glancing around the room as if he were analyzing it closely. ]
You hold on to that sword pretty closely. [ a glance over his shoulder. ] Is it important to you?

Misc!
Guzma stares at it.
Blinks.
Wonders for a second if he got high before he fell asleep earlier.
Can't remember.
Goes to close the door.
Whatever it was he was leaving for is lost in the absurdity of floating pumpkin rinds in a box. He probably should remember that text, or maybe question the fact there's a floating box of pumpkin remains, but no, clearly the logical solution here is to go back inside and do something else.]
no subject
[the box sounds strangely like Lucina.
because it is! she's holding it, silly! but not for long: hopefully he minds his feet, because she's going to just let the whole thing drop at the doorstep so she can be revealed, looking pretty peppy and pleased to be following-up on her mysterious messages.]
I've brought a gift for your companions. I hope they haven't had lunch yet!
no subject
For all he might have been groggy, he certainly looks awake now.]
Shit--Lu!
[He stares at her a little wide-eyed--and then it clicks. Why she sent him that text. His eyes flick from her to the box, then he glances over his shoulder at Golisopod, who is laying on his belly in the middle of the living room dozing, Masquerain asleep on top of his back.]
Nah, they haven't. [Oh right, that's what he was heading out to do! Convenient. He looks to Lucina with a smirk.] Trying to win 'em over, huh?
[It's a gentle tease, mainly because she's already won them mostly over anyway. From behind Guzma, there's a low rumble from Golisopod, a greeting for Lucina.]
no subject
May I come in? Or-- [oh-- floating up to see past his shoulder, she can see two of them there and brings a hand to her mouth.
quieter:] My apologies. Did I show up at a bad time? I didn't intend to interrupt...
no subject
Don't worry about it, they're just chillin'. I was about to head out to get 'em some grub anyway. Perfect timing, really.
[And whether or not she can come in, well, he steps out of the way for her and her box.]

Flying over DeChima
Here, he feels alive.
And seeing another Import flying, he smiles and angles her way, clearly where she can see him.
"Hello!
no subject
She lets out a surprised sound as she turns herself to better see who sounded off, starting to smile as she raises her hand.
"Greetings, stranger! Are you new to these skies?"
no subject
"I am. My name is Jonas, though most civilians know me as The Vision." He waves around. "I do like to fly, and these skies are good ones, so far."
He has had no problems, anyway.
"Have you been here long?"
no subject
It's not easy to bow while in flight, so instead he gets a polite nod, her hand going over her heart.
"My name is Lucina, one of the Aegis Force members here. And I agree with you! The temperature is not to cold, and the sun not too bright...it's quite nice here." But it won't be for long; she knows chillier days are on their way, which is no fun for flying when you're fleshy and susceptible to a cold.
"I've been here more than two years, myself...so, hopefully, if you've any questions, I can help assist!"
no subject
"A pleasure to meet you, Lucina of Aegis Force." He is glad to find someone else who enjoys flying, and if his files are right, who is also a superhero. His smile is warm as he listens.
"Thank you. That is kind of you. Mostly I have been reading and collating the networks. There is a lot to learn here and I want to do the best I can."
