WHO: Lucina, various
WHERE: Maurtia Falls, De Chima, misc
WHEN: Early/mid-October
WHAT: assorted happenings
WARNINGS: labeled in subject headers
Maurtia Falls
Lucina's main haunts are still in this city of conflict -- same as it has been, those two and a half years ago. Gods, has it been so long already? So much else has changed...her, too.
She resides on a residential block in a rental house, and might be encountered in the wee hours of the morning on her way out to work, or perhaps on the rare day off, tearing up the sad excuse for a garden she'd tried (sort of) to maintain (and failed to) in preparation for winter.
Downtown, she frequents a cafe and pastry shop where she's made many a friend and good memory. Catching her before she hustles off on patrol or another duty is a great chance for a free treat and a chat...or perhaps a means of teaming up for a bit of crime busting?
At Helix, the base of operations for Aegis Force, practically her second home, she is constantly either at work or training for work. It's not as frantic and despairing as the month before, so she can be a cheerful spotter or sparring partner, or she can help with some kitchen chores or monitor duty! She also likes to take her breaks on the rooftop helipad, enjoying the cooler air as the weather starts to behave more like autumn.
De Chima
It's not a place she visits too often, but at least once a week, Lucina tries to make time to volunteer at the O'Malley Clinic. She's not much of a nurse, but if you ever wanted to know what it feels like to be bandaged up nearly immobile as a mummy for a simple scrape? She's your girl. Also don't you dare try to escape until treatment is over! She can double as a bouncer.
There's always a chance to catch her in the skies, as flying is her favorite pastime -- and it beats traffic. Hopefully she's not spying any trouble from on high, but if you're in a pinch, she can swoop down and lend a hand (or sword)!

"Wait--" She squints. "Did you just...check right now?"
Does he also have an alien computer in his brain like Jaime?
no subject
He wiggles his fingers at her.
"But not in all. I am, to my core, a machine, if a living one."
no subject
"How fortunate there's a robust network for you to peruse, then," she replies lightly, tilting herself so she can avoid getting bucked by a sudden gust of wind. "Is this world more or less advanced than places you've known before?"
no subject
"Yes. I like the networks here." he has discovered both of them.
"Both, in different ways. Less advanced in most ways, but the Porters and the hoverbikes are something my world did not have, at least in the time I lived in most of the time I was alive."

"I wish more of my people were here, however."
he cocks his head to look at her.
"How is your own stay going?"
no subject
"It has its ups and downs," she offers, her face a little red from sheepishness. "Doubtless, from what you've scoured of the Network already, you can see things can be...volatile..."
no subject
"It always is, yes. Things have been very strange, and often have shown signs of utter chaos. I want to help those here, but do not yet know how I will do so."
After all, that was his remit. To serve and protect.
no subject
"That's the lovely thing about this place; it may become quite harrowing at times, but there's no shortage of people willing to help."
no subject
He listens as she talks.
"I like that, too. Seeing so many people help."
no subject
She cuts herself off, doing a bit of a double-take as they fly past a radio tower. Wait a second...!
"Ah! Wait!" She laughs, slowing to stop at a hover. "I've passed my destination already! I'm so sorry, I got so caught up! But, here--you...well, you said you've already got the network situation under wraps, yes? How about you contact me should you come up with any questions? I'd be happy to offer you aid."
no subject
He nods to her.
"I hope to talk to you again, about Aegis and the League, both. Until then... be good to you."
Justin grins at her, rising, eyes shining, his form transforming into green and red as he flew. And he vanished, as he turned ion the turbos, and let his skin shimmer and turn translucent, and shot away.
