Locals, imPorts, come one and all to FanPort, the annual gathering of imPorts and imPort enthusiasts! Registration volunteers are wrangling the long, long lines wrapping outside the convention center, but attendees are passing the time by competing in a contest sponsored by a local radion station: to create the best imPort-themed viral video clip and post it to social media! #PowersPower #Fandemonium #FanPortVIP

Unless they choose to mingle, as guests of honor, imPorts get to skip the line, receive a gold-trimmed IMPORTANT badge and be escorted through a secure entrance into the convention center proper. But there's no escaping the crowds once they're inside, you will be rubbing shoulders. This year's FanPort is seeing record attendance, and the venue is swarming with enthusiastic con-goers. Once they make their way past an impromptu welcoming committee of squealing fans, imPorts can explore...

ARTIST'S ALLEY

The bustling ballroom is full to brimming of fans selling their creative wares. Hundreds of prints are available for purchase, featuring everything from Magnus Burnsides striking a heroic pose to an artful portrait of Dandy Mott in his study, with his tie unknotted and dribbling down his front. There's even an action crossover depicting the Blue Beetle versus Iron Man, or Jesse Pinkman dancing with Reggie Mantle. Crossover time!

Other tables feature 3-D creations, with maskets full of keychains, buttons, T-shirts, homemade plushies and more. If you can dream of it, it probably exists, and it would be a challenge to name an imPort without some kind of creative representation!

Some artists and fanfiction writers have teamed up to create doujinshi about various imPort couples. imPorts who are known to be seeing each other are likely to see a drawn version of their relationship in this section, but there are also true rarepairs that go against canon, like Lapis Lazuli/Shale, Frederick Chilton/Sam Merlotte, Kitty Jones/John Murphy, Danny Pink/Mitchell Hundred, Jessica Jones/Laurie Collins, Han Solo/Luke Skywalker, Count Dooku/Archie and Rusty Venture/Sadie Doyle. And some of these books are sultry! Outright SHOCKING. You really must buy a few, if only as gifts.

If you don't see what you want being sold already, there are plenty of commissioners who would leap at the chance to provide an imPort with a custom print or doll, just for them! Although some of the dolls getting in the way of the big, popular ships may just be used as voodoo dolls, so watch out!

COSPLAY CONTEST

What's a fan convention without cosplay? There's not a single room in the convention center that lacks multiple cosplayers, but many of them are in it to win it at the cosplay contest. Some have gone to store after store to buy just the right street clothes to accurately portray imPorts like Daryl Dixon and April Ludgate, but others are up for a challenge and are showing off incredible armor creation or sewing work with their Riptide, Maeve Millay, Jean Grey, Petyr Baelish, Doreen Green, and Kanaya Maryam costumes.

And what of imPorts who want to join in? There are only two rules: imPorts may not enter as themselves, nice try jerks, and nor are they allowed to use shapeshifting powers. Other than that, they're welcome to join in on the competitions and the festivities! There are awards being given for everything from Best Performer to Best Costume to Most Accurate Posing, so jump in, and enjoy! ImPorts ARE free to give their own input (or imPut! Haha! So funny!)

IMPORT HALL

Aside from the panels, this is where imports are welcomed as special guests! Above the entire affair is a huge sign that reads, cheerfully: "WELCOME IMPORTS!". Here, imPorts are welcomed to set up their own booths to sell their goods, autographs, and pictures, advertise their businesses, or to simply meet some of their fans! A special photo-op booth is available for imPorts who are game for one-on-one meetings but don't want to set up a booth. Security is tightest around this area, but only for the safety of imPorts; if any fans get a little too touchy-feely without the imPort's consent, rest assured, they'll be hauled out in short notice. There is also a special demonstration area, marked off with cones, where imPorts may show off crowd-appropriate powers for some oohs and aahs.

This is also the place where willing and participating imPorts are showered with special gifts featuring everything from fanmade scrapbooks of their public exploits and fanart, home baked goods, or samples from all sorts of corporate representatives eager to have imPorts represent everything from their makeup lines to their gas-buster pills.

REFRESHMENTS

Forget the generic, slightly stale burgers and fries most commonly found at convention centers. Just outside the venue is a series of imPort-inspired food trucks and stalls. Ready for some Persephone Paprikash? What about some Emmett Brown-ies for dessert? Delicious! And we can't forget the line of So Carbonated They'll Make You ~~Tina~~ Belcher craft sodas. imPorts get a discount if they show of their tattoos to prove they're not just fantastic cosplayers!

DESIGN-YOUR-OWN POWER STATION

This year's FanPort has a special charity room for imPorts who feel like doing some community outreach. Long-term patients at Nonah Children's Hospital who are well enough to travel have been brought to the con, where imPorts who sign up to volunteer will help them dream up their own powers, design their own superhero costume and dress up using a wardrobe of donated costume parts. Each child can then pose in front of a green screen with their favorite imPort to create a superhero team-up!

RAVE

The first two nights of the convention, attendees can get their groove on after hours! The grand hall is opened up to various imPort inspired acts, such as the Woden-inspired Welcome to Valhalla, the Yurio Plisetsky-inspired Ice Ice Babies, and the Stark family-inspired Kings of the North. All of these shows are complete with light shows and complimentary glow sticks, and once the clock hits past 9 PM, a bar opens up in the back for natives and imPorts alike, provided that they're of-age — and yes, they will be checking their IDs!

Want to get your rock on? These acts will gracefully step aside to allow imPort musicians to take the stage, but will respond even more happily to jam sessions.

► ICE SKATING

What does it take to be a champion on ice? How do the pros spin so fast without getting dizzy? A Q&A session will be followed by an exhibition skate on imPort power-created ice. Starring imPort Guests: Otabek Altin, Viktor Nikiforov and Yuri Plisetsky

►THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF WESTEROS

There are 50 states in America and seven kingdoms in Westeros. What's life like in this land far far away? Attendees will receive a short introduction, followed by a Q&A session and other activities. Clean cut folk, reconsider—anyone with a majestic beard gets front row seats! Starring imPort Guests: Robb Stark and Theon Greyjoy

►LEADING THEORIES FOR ALTERNATE UNIVERSES AND THE CAUSE OF IMPORT POWERS

An introductory-level discussion of the science and logic behind the predominant theories for the existence of imPort powers and the nature of alternate universes. Adam Parrish will be expounding upon the most modern studies and theories, with Skeets providing practical experience, expertise, and exposition. Starring imPort Guests: Adam Parrish and Skeets

►BEING DEAD AND COPING WITH IT

ImPorts are the life of the convention, but what if they're dead back home? This panel will offer helpful tips on coping with certain mortality. Starring imPort Guest: Danny Pink

►RESTORING WORLDLY CONNECTIONS THROUGH MUSIC

This panel discussion includes audience participation as it explores how natives and imPorts alike can (re)connect with the Earth via singing, and explains other-worldly philosophies on creating more worthwhile connections with others in being one of the keys in restoring the balance of the world. A concert demonstration will promote the beginning of a peaceful connection between those living on Earth and the world they live in. Panel sponsor HNBN (Heropa's News Broadcast Network) will provide weather-related merchandise to be donated to multiple charities that are connected to natural sanctuaries, parks, animal shelters, homeless shelters, and other charities that promote imPort and native unity. ►BEYOND MEDICINE: IMPORT HEALING TECHNIQUES

This panel reprises last year's edition, with a focus on Miracle Springs. Attendees can witness an introduction and demonstration of healing powers on native volunteers, particularly those suffering from conditions that are incurable with this world's medical technology alone. Participants must sign a waiver, with priority given to terminal patients. Panelists will administer treatment based on greatest need. Coupons for Miracle Springs will be distributed to anyone who doesn't get a chance to be treated during the panel. Starring imPort Guests: Jesse Pinkman and Haen Hithiel

►ETV'S "FUCKUPS & TRYHARDS"

An episode screening and Q&A panel with the teen stars of ETV's edgy reality hit, which reviewers have alternately described as "a cinéma vérité glimpse into the lives of troubled imPort youths and the emotional complications of confronting alternate realities" and "basically just two assholes who look alike pranking each other for a half hour every week." Witness the controversial duo in person and decide for yourself! A memorabilia-signing session will follow. Starring imPort Guests: Ronan Lynch and John Murphy

►FROM TELEKINESIS TO TELEKINES-YES

Along with some brief demonstration, this session provides a brief overview on gaining powers, tips on how to deal with them, how to control them, how to best utilize them in daily life, and how to support your friends and family through adjusting to them. All information is high-level, and panelists will be available to mentor powered individuals on a more one-on-one basis. Starring imPort Guests: Erik Lehnsherr and Charles Xavier

►SPOTLIGHT: YOUR FACE IN THE TABLOIDS

An open discussion with various guests on how their imPort celebrity status has impacted their lives, through scandals and through influences. This panel will conclude with a series of mean bweets being read by their directed subject. Starring imPort Guests: Erik Lehnsherr and friends

►SHIPS AND YOU IN ANOTHER GALAXY FAR AWAY FROM HERE

Is your ship grounded or does it fly? What's the cannon situation? Who has the best ship of all? ImPorts who have touched the stars are invited to share their experience in an intimate talk about their ships, what it took to make them fly, ways to be safe and other related topics. Attendees are invited to bring fanart of their favorite imPort ships! Starring imPort Guests: Han Solo and friends

►MAURTIA FALLS OF THE FUTURE

A two-day historical recounting of Maurtia Falls, Pennsylvania as an imPort city -- how it started, how it has changed, and what is in store for its future. One the second day of the panel, imports who either currently live or have lived in Maurtia Falls are invited to speak about their experiences and why more imPorts should choose this city as a place to live. Starring imPort Guests: Petyr Baelish

►TO TOUCH A MOCKINGBIRD

Get up close and personal with the Northern Mockingbird as you learn facts about them and get to have the chance to see them mimic other birds and even human voices! ►MY BUDDY MY BUDDY AND ME

An advice show for the modern era! Come listen to the sage advice given by your fantasy friends, and maybe learn a thing or two about life! Starring imPort Guests: Taako, Magnus Burnsides, and Angus McDonald

►GOVERNMENT AND IMPORTS: NAVIGATING THE COMPLEXITIES OF A NEW LANDSCAPE IN LAW AND POLITICS

Senator Mitchell Hundred and available Ambassadors will engage in a discussion panel that includes multiple resources, pamphlets and giveaways for attendees. A Q&A session will follow. Starring imPort Guests: Mitchell Hundred and associates

►ALIENS AND HUMANS: BRIDGING THE GAP

This discussion between humans and aliens who now make their home on Earth seeks to foster greater understanding. Panel moderator Supergirl will relate her own experiences and encourage others to share theirs. Starring imPort Guests: Supergirl

►YOUTHS IN ACTION: WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP YOUR COMMUNITY

This panel of teen heroes will discuss the importance of using extraordinary gifts for the betterment of their community, as well as tips and tricks to stay safe during missions. Other topics will include: The Importance of Secrecy, What Not to Wear, Pros and Cons of Crime Fighting, and more! There will be Q&A sessions for both the panelists and any superhero guests that join in. Panelist Kyle Conlen will also discuss plans to create a youth center dedicated to keeping extraordinary teens on the right track. By organizing teens with experienced leaders, it will give them an outlet for their powers in a healthy and safe environment. Donations are appreciated! ►DRAGONS AND MYTHS

Panel moderator Aurican will host a Q&A session on what it's like to be a dragon, how to deal with dragon mythologies, and how to live with the fact that people are scared of fire-breathing lizards. Demonstrations will include the reveal of his true draconic form and safety-checked flame snorting. Starring imPort Guests: Aurican

►THE TRANSACTION OF MULTIVERSAL INFLUENCE ON THE EMOTIONAL DISRUPTION OF VETERAN IMPORTS

As host of the panel, Doctor Frederick Chilton will analyze the emotional and psychological consequences of imPorts having lived in this world, a universe foreign to their own, for over twelve months. He explicitly explores the manifestation of dissociation, maladaptation, codependency upon other imPorts, and the rare case of expressed criminal psychopathy. His presentation includes statistical data as well as anecdota, using Dorian Gray as an example of codependency with fatal but ultimately beneficial outcomes. Chilton's conclusion is that the longer you are in this world as an imPort, the more dramatically the environment affects you, sometimes profoundly influencing your behavior in unpredictable way, and he argues that the data supports a myriad of impacting variables within that environment, with no one singular cause to blame. ►BUSINESS FOR BEGINNERS: HOW IMPORT-RUN BUSINESSES CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

This panel will explore magic as a general concept, the theory of magic, how it is used in different worlds and advice for dealing with it. This panel discusses how the law interacts with superpowers, both in this world and the imPorts' worlds of origin. Starring imPort Guests: Sabriel and RISE members

Kayana's annual showcase on superhero costumes and the design philosophies behind them pulls examples from throughout the imPort community, and now some natives as well. Following this, there will be a demonstration of new developments made as a part Kanaya Maryam's partnership with OsCorp that may change the face of crimefighting in the future! Time will be allotted for a closing Q&A session.Starring imPort Guests: Kanaya Maryam, Normie Osborn, Peter Parker and Revan

►HOW TO BE A LEADER IN YOUR COMMUNITY

This open discussion tackles the issue of how imPorts and native citizens alike can be a hero in their city. Detailed focus will go to social programs, charity work and opportunities to beautify the city. It will also include a brief lesson in self-defense and the ways people can protect themselves in case of disaster. Starring imPort Guests: Jon Snow

►BOTTOMS UP! A GUIDE TO OTHERWORLDLY BOOZE

IDs will be checked at the door for this adults-only panel! Renowned TV host and alcoholic expert Sadie Doyle will lead an audience discussion on favorite drinks and trends in spirits from their own worlds, followed by a sampling of locally-produced beers and liqueurs that are known to be imPort favorites. If time allows, there will be a group sing-a-long of the best bar songs. Starring imPort Guests: Sadie Doyle

►ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND YOU

A panel to explain all of the questions you may have about artificial intelligence and to offer their own perspective. Are AIs going to take over all your jobs? Can AIs feel? Do AIs get their feelings hurt when jerks start questioning their validity as people? Is it okay to literally store them in a box for a number of years? Check that all that out here and more! [Even though he can't stop the hitch in his breath, and can't keep himself from leaning in and pressing his forehead against Viktor's shoulder.]

[ He rests his cheek to the top of Yuri's hair, the braids he did earlier messy and starting to fall out, but Viktor just presses a light kiss on top of them. ]

You have every right to be mad. I'm so sorry, Yura.

[Yuri's going to be annoyed later that he has to redo those braids, but right now he sags against him in relief.]

Thank you.

[ Viktor will redo them for him, don't worry. He starts to pull back and he's smiling at Yuri, eyes a little wetter than they were before. ]

Would you do me a favor?

[Yuri looks more or less the same, eyes a little red and concealer smudging to expose his tired eyes.]

What is it?

[ The sweat pouring off of him probably isn't helping that either. Viktor withdraws even more, leaving one hand on his shoulder while the other rises to try and tuck in the falling strands back into their braids, fussing like a mother hen would.

He hadn't planned anything for today, but he already made the decision in the split second he had before hugging Yuri. He hadn't warmed up yet, the choreography wasn't finished, and there were probably at least a dozen other reasons why he shouldn't do this. But he's always been impulsive, and he wasn't going to change his mind now. ]

Watch me, okay? I want to show you something.

[Definitely not. He's going to have to touch it up again before heading to the imPort Hall for autographs.]

...Okay. I won't look away.

[ He leans in for one last kiss to Yuri's forehead, a quick peck before he pulls back all the way, unzipping his tracksuit to reveal the black outfit he has underneath. He takes a seat on the nearby bench to put his skates on, rooting around in his bag first to hand Yuri his music player. ]

And I'll need you to get them to play this for me after I take a few minutes to warm up. It's the first playlist on there, third song.

[He makes a face and wipes at the spot Viktor kissed tiredly, almost exactly like a little kid.]

Yeah, yeah. I'll take care of it.

[ He laces up his skates quickly, smiling up at Yuri for what seems like the first time in days. ]

And eat your soup! At that's more like three favors, isn't it~?

I said I— [He cuts short, thrown off by the realness of that smile. His heart hurts again, but he doesn't think he minds it this time.]

Just go!

[ He gives a chuckle that sounds oh so familiar and genuine. He waves a hand before taking his skate guards off, standing to head to the rink. ]

Right, right~

[ He greets the crowd with a flourish, the surprise of his presence evident in the cheering since most people thought he wasn't performing from their answers at the earlier panel. Yuri should be table to tell it's still similar to the last year he competed, the smiles for the crowd and easy grace of acknowledging the audience, but there's still a note of Viktor in there somewhere. Better than the zombie he' been the past few days, even if he's not all the way back just yet. ]

[As promised, Yuri heads over to the sound set up to get the song Viktor requested set up, and he does bring the thermos along to sip at it while the tech guys load the song. He keeps an eye on Viktor, relief clear on his face the longer he watches.]

[ He has to rush through a warm-up which is never a good idea, but at least he has a moment or two more with how Yuri has to deliver the music over. He entertains the crowd while doing it, some of the more practical warm-ups made flashy with extra flare that Viktor could deliver asleep by now. Once he feels he's ready enough (only enough, and he can hear Yakov shouting at him in his head for that paltry excuse for a warm-up—he hasn't even stretched yet!), he glides over to the center of the makeshift rink, searching for Yuri's eyes before giving his nod, signaling to start the music.

Viktor originally envisioned this piece for someone else, but in his impulsive decision only minutes earlier, he knew he could convey another message with it as well. He hadn't had time to have the music edited either; the song was really too long for any kind of official program, even an exhibition. And without a proper warm-up either! Not to mention not having skated for a few days. He was going to be exhausted and sore after this and might come to regret his impulsiveness just a little. But maybe not. He hadn't regretted his impulsiveness yet; no reason to start now. Especially when it was for Yuri.

Viktor starts his skate slow with the simple piano melody at the beginning, a joyful and carefree expression that's somehow easier than it's been for the past week on his face as he skates in simple circles, like a child having fun and growing in to himself. He's grinning exceptionally wide when he extends his an arm out then spinning away like he's reaching out for something just beyond reach before something knocks him aside, disrupting his desire to reach the thing he wants. The movements aren't as refined as Yuri is used to seeing from Viktor, the choreography feeling not quite polished yet; it's clear it's a program he's been working on, but there are undeniable parts that are still improvised, sections that he's adding on the fly.

There's confusion in his movements then, the singer coming in softly, but Viktor repeats his earlier movements, now with more confidence and polish, adding flourishes of a more expert skater. When the bridge comes, Viktor starts using the whole rink for bigger and broader elements, adding a few double spins where he lands precisely on beat.

When he suddenly stumbles in the second verse, Yuri should be able to see it's part of the program even when the audience gives a sympathetic gasp. There's no way Viktor would stumble there, not if it wasn't without intention. Still, Viktor's starting to look tired out there on the ice, his forehead shining with the sweat on it and his ankles and knees a little more wobbly on the landings than normal. He plays it up in the program though, exaggerating the tired movements as if he's lost his inspiration, spinning and searching for it and losing hope, the despair obvious as the music reaches the bridge, the words "without you" echoing across the rink, standing out amongst the rest of the Japanese lyrics ... ]

[Even though he can tell when Viktor is embellishing his weariness for the audience, it doesn't keep Yuri from biting his lip and gripping the fencing that's been set up as a barrier around the ice. Yuri knows exactly how tired they both really are. It's worrying! He looks like he might bolt onto the ice if Viktor actually did fall, but as long as he keeps moving he can resist the urge.

The message that's coming through is captivating too, of course. It's a glimpse of Viktor that he hasn't actually seen before. It's actually a little painful to watch, that lost and lonely feeling a little too familiar after the last couple of weeks.]

[ The longer song was definitely taking its toll on Viktor's body, and he'd been taking it somewhat easy, knowing its length; a quad at the beginning but then triples and doubles throughout the middle, his spins tight but slower than what he might do for an official exhibition. He still gives it his all though, pouring emotion into it like nothing he's done the past couple weeks, like he's a completely different person on the ice right now.

And it shows in the change here, now, as well. The despair gives way to hope, the exhaustion still there but like it's nothing compared to the elation suddenly surging through his limbs—he's found what he's been missing. He extends a hand out as he soars across the ice, beckoning what he's found to come closer to him, and his hand is aimed at Yuri. He pulls the hand in to his chest, embracing it it near his heart, all the while his eyes on Yuri, pleading with him to hear his message. He only breaks his gaze away to bow his head to convey gratitude; You're my family, always dear. Thank you for being there to pick me up when I couldn't.

As the final chorus after the bridge plays across the rink, Viktor ups the intensity again, impossibly adding a quad towards the end before a beautiful spread eagle into a scratch spin. He turned faster and faster, the free leg joining his foot on the ice and arms extending up into an elongated reach to the ceiling. He steps out of the spin beautifully too, those raised arms falling gently behind his shoulders as he coasted on the ice head back and eyes closed, the piano and singer ringing out their last notes.

Viktor's momentum slowly comes to a stop while he glides towards Yuri, arms having floated down to his sides and face still tilted up to sky in the pause between the music ending and the audience beginning to clap and cheer, his harsh breathing covered by the applause. His head dips back down, face drenched in sweat and flushed with exhaustion and exertion, but his eyes are bright as he looks at Yuri, a hopeful smile tugging at his lips as he pants open-mouthed. ]

[What did Yuri ever do to deserve such an embarrassing older brother figure?? He must have been cursed by a witch in a past life. For once though, it doesn't look like he minds completely. He doesn't make a move towards Viktor, staying right where he is at the rink's edge, but he never takes his eyes off of him. Not even the meaning behind the performance manages to crack through all his hurt and frustration and sends a few tears leaking from the corners of his eyes. Even still, he looks as furious as ever.

But he's still there at rinkside, waiting for Viktor to get his ass off the ice and meet him.]

[ Baba Yaga has it in for Yuri Plisetsky, clearly. Viktor only breaks the eye contact with Yuri to acknowledge the crowd, the bow wobbly but he recovers before he falls. He leans heavily against the fencing as he exits the rink, his other hand reaching for Yuri. Viktor's still panting as he starts to lean on him instead. ]

Yura ...

[Yuri leans right back into him, one hand coming up to clench in the front of his shirt to hold him there. There's the faintest tremor in his grip, and he's muttering something low and intense and absolutely filthy. Good thing only Viktor will recognize the Russian cursing. [ Viktor just starts to laugh, breathless as he's still trying to suck air in his lungs. He wobbles again, leaning more against Yuri before he just gives up and wraps both arms around him.

[But he does, and after skating already and having hardly slept at all in the last week and everything else, Yuri absolutely does not have the energy to support his weight. All he can manage is to summon a snowdrift to break their fall when they topple over.]
