WHO: Yurio and YOU
WHERE: Heropa public park
WHEN: May 12th
WHAT: Yuri's just been returned from getting a power update, and now he's PRACTICING
WARNINGS: None foreseen
[It's been a full day since anyone's seen or heard from Yuri, but anyone who might have worried can put their fears to rest now. There are scattered reports surfacing on Bwitter about snow blanketing a corner of the park in spite of the comfortable 70 degree weather. The coating of snow pretty patchy and doesn't spread out very far, but it's more than enough to keep the blond Russian at the center of it delighted.
Yurio's settled in the center of the patchy snowscape to work on putting together a snowman, rolling up as much of the melting snow as he can and occasionally magicking up a fresh mound to work with. There are plenty of these small snowdrifts left sitting around just waiting to be made into snowballs or another snowman, but it's just so much easier to make a new drift right beside himself instead. Once he's satisfied with the basic structure he steps back to consider the decoration, turning to glance at whoever happens to be nearby.]
Hey, you don't have anything that'd make a good nose or eyes on you, do you?

[ He still didn't pay it much mind, until he heard the familiar voice. His head whipped up, but... that meant what little attention he was giving his crutch was completely off of it. It slipped on a patch of snow, pitching him forward onto the ground and making him land on his face with a pained noise. At least he managed to keep his injured leg up in the air... his knee taking the brunt of the impact instead. ]

What the fuck, Detective Creep? You shouldn't be wandering around on ice with crutches.
no subject
Nngghh... why is there even ice here, it's almost summer...?
[ He finally lifted his head then, bits of gravel clinging to his face as he looked around at the patches of snow around. How was it not melting...? ]

Even when it was snowing, for some reason. He didn't mind the cold, being someone with ice powers himself. The oddity of it all was inspiring. There seemed to be so many contradictions in this world, about an endless number of things, but he never expected the weather to be one of them. ]
Hmm?
[ Yusuke was lost in his work, as always. Someone was asking him about eyes? ]
I have a drawing of a mask, if that would do.
no subject
Sure, that'll work well enough.
no subject
It's probably a little much for a snowman. ]
You may keep it.
no subject
Hey...are you sure I can use this? It's really good. It's just going to get wet and ruined if I put in on the snowman.

[There's a miscommunication here as the seven feet tall cyborg steps closer.]

[He gestures at the unfinished snowman as if that explains everything.]

-- Yura! Are you all right? W-where were you?
no subject
Hey... Sorry, I was at home. Our world home. I only got back here a little while ago. [And forgot to text either of the other skaters about his return. Whoops.]
no subject
Ah ... that's a relief. We were so worried about you.

[ Magnus almost sounds offended, but truth be told, he kind of is. He already thought that Yurio's floor-skating powers were pretty rad, and now he can manifest snow? It doesn't sound very useful, but it is super cool, and Magnus is already jealous.
(It is, in fact, a good thing that Magnus cannot manifest snow, because he would spend too much of his time doing so out of fascination, and all of his surroundings would wind up irreparably soggy.) ]
How did you learn this one? [ Magnus does, however, make himself useful by leaning down and finding a shard of brightly coloured glass (green; from an abandoned beer bottle) and shoves it into the middle of the snowman's non-existent face as a particularly colourful, flat nose. ]
no subject
The porter gave me an upgrade! Sent me home for a little while, and when I came back— [He makes a sweeping gesture, unleashing another spray of snow from his fingertips as he does so.]
no subject
[ He still sounds a little excited, though, because if he can't use magic, the next best thing is the ability to watch showboaters use magic. He catches some of the snow in the palms of his hands and scoops a little more off the ground, idly packing it into a snowball. ]
Is it just snow, or can you use ice too?

No. I left my carrots and coal at home.
[She is joking, but not in a mean spirited way. She's beginning to see the appeal. Building snowmen is a reminder of childhood and innocent times. She supposes there's nothing wrong with having fun on occasion. If she acts carefree often enough, she might even start to feel it.]
We could find something to use. Some pebbles for the eyes and mouth. We won't be able to find a pine cone around here, so maybe a stick for the nose?
no subject
A stick, huh? Not a bad idea. As long as it's not so big that it just falls off again.
no subject
[Abigail says with a shrug, and bends down, picking up a few pebbles. She straightens up.]
"These bigger ones might make good eyes."
[She holds them out.]
You're not going to start singing Let it go, or name this guy Olaf, are you?
[That had been a popular movie when she'd gone into hiding back home.]
