open | come bury your toes in the sand
WHO: Naminé and friends; open to passersby
WHERE: Beach near Heropa
WHEN: October 15th
WHAT: BEACH PARTY! Feel free to create a new prompt if the ones below don't appeal to you.
WARNINGS: None for now!
It'd taken a lot of last minute scrambling, a lot of runs to the grocery store, and a lot of help from her friends. But as Naminé steps back from the set up, she smiles. Allows herself a little bit of pride in what she's accomplished.
The home tent is where all the food is. Fold up tables have been loaded with an array of sandwiches, finger foods, and drinks, and a cooler nearby has fish and other seafood goodies to be grilled at the bonfire once someone gets hungry for it. This is also where she'll direct friends to drop off snacks and homemade goodies. Please do not sneak any of the chocolate and marshmallows meant for s'mores later.
Close by is the rest area, which is really just a big spread of blankets and a couple fold up chairs on the sand. She doesn't expect everyone to want to stay standing up all day, after all. Naminé knows she's going to be there for a bit, chatting with friends who are visiting, and she may have started a tiny sandcastle and collection of sea shells at the edge of the blankets as well.
The volleyball net and accompanying volleyball are borrowed from a co-worker, so it definitely needs to get back to her in one piece. There's plenty of space for other sports and competitions though...perhaps a game of soccer? And how could anyone ignore the ocean? She and a few others will likely be waist deep in it, learning and practicing how to swim.
Not bad for her first party. Now all she has to do is wait for her guests.

[She pushes her hair out of her eyes, squinting from the water that got into them.]
Before your lessons with Riku, you mean? I'm sure you've learned a lot since you started. You made it out all the way here by yourself, after all.
no subject
I had lessons? I mean, I grew up with Mikleo and all, but I was just kind of messing around. I'll be fine since I have this for now at least! [Gesturing to his inflatable shark. He's still not quite sure what to make of it all just yet. And the mention of lessons, of this 'Riku' does have him curious.]
no subject
Yes, you told me before that you were taking lessons from Riku. I wanted to learn too, and today was going to be our chance to practice together.

[So he isn't as practiced as he might have been otherwise. As confident or experienced. Which might seem a little silly given his best friend is a water seraph and all, but.]

[Naminé stares at him for a moment before she finally processes his words and jerks in shock, enough that she loses her grip on her floatie. She lets out a little yip before clinging hard to it again. Despite her flailing, her expression is showing nothing but distress.]
Sorey, did...did something happen?
no subject
[At least, from what he has gathered since his return and all. He does at least look apologetic, even if it isn't actually his fault. He seems about to try reach over to help her but she herself seems to get hold of her floatie.]
You okay?
no subject
Are you?

I'm..I'm alright. It's just a little confusing. But I'm sure I'll get used to it. I guess it isn't all that different from people having heard of me back home before I get somewhere.
[He kind of did become an overnight celebrity when he pulled Lailah's sword and all, becoming the Shepherd.]

If you need help with anything, I'm here for you. And all the other friends you've made here are too.
no subject
[It's mostly his time here. He didn't really recall much more back home in comparison. But with something like this, he doesn't see how anyone could help beyond explaining and being patient when he meets friends he made here.]
no subject
Does your friend, um. Mikleo? Does Mikleo know what happened?
no subject
[There's still certain things to work through some. Mostly on Sorey's end more than Mikleo's. But even so.]

[Best friend and then some. If only Sorey remembered their confession back in July with the fireworks. Except his memories are gone, of all that happened here prior to his return earlier today or so.]

[It's. Not too hard to figure Sorey probably mentioned Mikleo's talent in that particular area previously. Because the Shepherd never misses a chance to wax poetic about the water seraph, of course.]
no subject
Maybe next time we can have an ice cream party?
no subject
[Sorey really needs to chill and keep from always just offering Mikleo up to help with stuff before even asking the water seraph. Maybe he will learn. One day. Or not, if Mikleo never minds anyway if it makes Sorey happy.]

[Already of course assuming this is going to be a thing that is going to happen because of course. It involves ice cream! And Mikleo. Mikleos' ice cream, even. Of course Sorey is excited at this idea!]

[Sorey didn't go to the typical obligatory snow setting in Zestiria okay so he's. Not quite computing this concept.]

[Winter is for hot and warm things, like cocoa and cookies.]
I guess it might depend from person to person.

[The thought is kind of amusing as well as concerning, but then again she knows three people who would eat nothing but ice cream, most of the time.]
