open | come bury your toes in the sand
WHO: Naminé and friends; open to passersby
WHERE: Beach near Heropa
WHEN: October 15th
WHAT: BEACH PARTY! Feel free to create a new prompt if the ones below don't appeal to you.
WARNINGS: None for now!
It'd taken a lot of last minute scrambling, a lot of runs to the grocery store, and a lot of help from her friends. But as Naminé steps back from the set up, she smiles. Allows herself a little bit of pride in what she's accomplished.
The home tent is where all the food is. Fold up tables have been loaded with an array of sandwiches, finger foods, and drinks, and a cooler nearby has fish and other seafood goodies to be grilled at the bonfire once someone gets hungry for it. This is also where she'll direct friends to drop off snacks and homemade goodies. Please do not sneak any of the chocolate and marshmallows meant for s'mores later.
Close by is the rest area, which is really just a big spread of blankets and a couple fold up chairs on the sand. She doesn't expect everyone to want to stay standing up all day, after all. Naminé knows she's going to be there for a bit, chatting with friends who are visiting, and she may have started a tiny sandcastle and collection of sea shells at the edge of the blankets as well.
The volleyball net and accompanying volleyball are borrowed from a co-worker, so it definitely needs to get back to her in one piece. There's plenty of space for other sports and competitions though...perhaps a game of soccer? And how could anyone ignore the ocean? She and a few others will likely be waist deep in it, learning and practicing how to swim.
Not bad for her first party. Now all she has to do is wait for her guests.

[Sorey didn't go to the typical obligatory snow setting in Zestiria okay so he's. Not quite computing this concept.]

[Winter is for hot and warm things, like cocoa and cookies.]
I guess it might depend from person to person.

[The thought is kind of amusing as well as concerning, but then again she knows three people who would eat nothing but ice cream, most of the time.]

[So he is biased and it therefore became a favourite and something of a comfort food for him over the years as a result.]

I think you should talk to Xion, if you haven't already. She loves ice cream too.

[Mikleo was always willing for Sorey at least. He can't see why it'd be any different for anyone else who might be hungry and enjoy some ice cream or whatever other meal the seraph might make.]

[She swivels around in her floatie to look towards the shore, scanning the crowd before pointing.]
Over there. The girl with short black hair and the one piece swimsuit.

[He pauses, following her gaze and gesture towards the darker haired girl. Short dark hair, pale skin, blue eyes. At least this way he'll figure who she is if he runs into her later, depending on how distracted he gets while here.]

[If he remembered more about this place, he'd recall how he's been compared to Sora before and how that similarity might help put Xion at ease around him. Still, he's willing to make the effort.]

[She kicks her feet under the water, happy to facilitate new friendships. Which reminds her--she needs to remind him.]
I hope we will too. My name is Naminé.

[But well. She seems to be taking this well enough, considering. Sorey has to be glad for that at least, even as he kicks his own feet while holding to the inflatable shark.]

[Either way. That....this, it can't be easy for her.]

[Look at this calm face and be assured, Sorey!]

[But he assumes from her reassurance that the memories returned. To whoever was involved there. Somehow. He's not sure such can happen here too, but either way, he's doing his best to roll with it.]

[Anyone who is in trouble. Sorey would want to help them, regardless of how well he knew them. Regardless of who it was. Given he even wanted to help Heldalf.]
end thread here? :3c
End thread here works for me!
[Okay so he's not so much swimming as he is kicking, but kicking in the water, this deep, makes him more tired than he might initially realize. So a break is probably not a good idea. He kicks his way back to shore, bringing his inflatable shark with him and choosing something to eat as they catch up some.]
