Bucky Catch-All
WHO: Bucky Barnes
sidecars and YOU!
WHERE: All over
WHEN: All October
WHAT: Boozin' and dancin'
WARNINGS: N/A for now
BOOGIE WOOGIE BUGLE BOY
Holy moley... [ What is he witnessing? It looks like one of those arcade games, but there aren't any control and a lot of movement going on. He would hardly call it dancing, but that seems to be everyone else's consensus.
Boogie Boogie Battlefield. The blocks below the players' feet light up with every new step. Some of them are definitely better than others. It's only when the crowd begins to thin out that Bucky is systematically pushed forward to the front where he gets the opportunity to see what's really going on. A few of the natives encourage him to get on up there and try it for himself. They show him how to play and pick an easy song for him to start out with. It's nothing he's ever heard of, but the rhythm is simple enough to follow.
His score isn't too bad. Maybe he has a knack for this kind of thing! Anyone want to try challenging this winning streak? ]

CLOSED to Toro
[ That sure is an auspicious start to their night, but when's that anything new with Bucky? He opens the door to the bar, but that's about as far as he gets before the first checkpoint literally stop him with a big hand. ]
Whoa, kid... This is twenty-one and up. Let's see some ID.
Don't worry! [ Bucky's ready to defend his honor. ] I'm twenty-one! You want to let me in. [ And just like that, they let him pass through. ] Thanks, fellas! Wanna sit at the bar or grab a table?

And then Bucky gets them in without even an ID check and Toro is staring at him with a bit of suspicion. That...was way too easy.]
Those guys sure are trusting. Honor code must be high around here.

[ No one can resist! Which is rather close to the truth, actually. He meanders to the front of the bar and slaps his hand down to garner a little service. ]
Gimme an Old-Fashioned! [ Then he looks back at Toro for his request. ] What do you drink these days, old man?

So are you legal yet? Think I missed your birthday again.
no subject
Let's fix that! We can have a half-birthday! Let's add yours to the mix, too.

[He leans against the counter.] And these days I drink anything that has a kick to it.
[Or he did. Thankfully he's passed the months of hanging around bars and drinking his bitterness at the state of his life away. But he's not going to tell Bucky about that.]

Old? If there's one thing I don't have a problem with, it's aging.
[That's a lie, but it's a different kind of problem than most people have.]
no subject
[ Bucky would at least like to look his age at this point. Nineteen's a good age! ]
no subject
You think that 'cause you're stuck here right now. I was still being carded at the bar when I was 45.

[ :> :> :> :> ]

[Said easily right before Toro takes another drink.] You can choke on those crackers, talking like that.

[He says it with a smirk because he's old enough now that The Bucky Look doesn't work on him anymore. Instead it makes him feel younger than he has in years, filled with the nostalgia of it.]
Besides, I don't think my student ID from college matters much now that I don't go anymore. [And that was the only kind of ID he had before he came here.]
