[open] Prove my innocence
WHO: Violet Harmon and visitors?
WHERE: Also in Jail because Yomiel is an efficient guy
WHEN: June 3rd to June 8th-ish
WHAT: Arrested :I Come visit
WARNINGS: n/a
[To say Violet is upset is an understatement but most of all she's furious. She's sitting in a cell from being accused of abetting a criminal (Kay) and for possessing a firearm (which doesn't help her at all since she's underage to boot). She did get to make a phone call to Edgeworth to come help her and then a text message to Light to let him know what happened. Then her phone is taken away as evidence and she's left sitting around with absolutely nothing to do.
In short: being in prison sucks]

To say that he didn't expect Violet to find herself in some sort of trouble eventually would be a lie; something small and inconsequential, undoubtedly, to be written off as the inevitable consequence of one's teenage years. But he didn't expect something to this degree. Abetting a criminal, possessing a firearm?
He steps forward.]
Violet. Are you all right?
[Ignoring the part where she's in jail and obvious not terribly happy about it. But surely he's obligated to ask.]
no subject
I am not all right. I didn't do it! I don't remember doing it.
no subject
Calm down and breathe. Firstly, did you contact Edgeworth yet?
no subject
[He was the first person she thought of. The one who'd hopefully trust her and be able to get her out]
no subject
Good. [And with that out of the way:] So explain to me what happened, exactly. You said you don't remember committing any crimes?
no subject
I was walking past the courthouse. Then the next thing I knew I was standing by a door in the courthouse with a gun hidden under my sweater.

He is near, at least, to the city jail. It doesn't take him long to get there, and less time still to get inside to see her; he knows, after all, precisely what to say.]
Ms. Harmon.
[That comes out of his mouth the second he sees her; he's a bit too worked up at the moment to remember to call her Violet.]
I've tried to move up your bail hearing, but there's a sudden backlog of cases. It will happen as soon as possible; I'll have you out of here before long. I give my word.
no subject
Of course there is. [it's mostly out of frustration at the situation than it is at Edgeworth] I didn't do it. You believe me, right?
[even though any proof they have will show that, yes, she was the only one who could have helped Kay.]
no subject
I believe in you.
[Violet is a troubled young lady; there's no question of that. But this is far and beyond what she would ever do. In this place of curiosities, of extenuating circumstances, there has to be some explanation for what happened that isn't her suddenly seeking to do such harm as this.]
no subject
Okay. That's good.
[she can deal with this as long as she knows Edgeworth believes her]
no subject
[It just didn't fit the bill.]
[Greed complies with the ceremonious pat down. Spreading himself wide to both the physical and verbal prodding as the guards go about their inspection. Fifteen minutes and some snide exchanges later have all the (un)necessaries stripped and locked in a clear plastic bin: vest, sunglasses, lighter, match box, sunglasses, and the device he received upon arrival.]
"Harmon, Violet - down two cells on the left."
Yeah. [Greed says with a rather bored wave. The fluorescent bulbs up above clink and twitch as he walks the tight row. His footsteps knock against the concrete slab and dully echo right back. It's stagnant here; like a medical room complete with iron-clad bars.]
[He doesn't like it.]
Heard you ran into some trouble. [The homunculus taps his foot just outside the length of her bars. A slip in later and he's slouching into view. Heavy on his shoulders and his expression is a combination. Like a dog owner that's just caught the ripped up newspaper. Not angry, just mildly put-upon.]
Want to tell me what happened? [He taps his knuckles at one of the bars, testing it.] You're not usually so reckless.
no subject
I'm not. Something happened. I just can't remember what. [she's practically sulking as she looks to the corner of her cell] I don't even need a gun.
no subject
[Either way, it doesn't spell out anything particularly good.] Can't remember huh? [He side-steps into view, pulling his hand away from the bar as he does. It wouldn't be that hard; iron, steel. Easy enough to break, but - ]
[The homunculus cracks a thin smile. Letting it slowly slide up his face as he hovers just at the edge of the lock.] Guess there's no point to you staying here then, is there? [He flicks his wrist and the snap calls it out. That slick-black coating; crawling across his fingers and up his forearm with a vibrating hitch. The bands on his wrist expand out and snap back, swallowed up until he's elbow deep.]
[Greed takes a glance over his shoulder, speaking away from her.] Unless you really want to stay here.
no subject
Of course I don't. But if you break me out, it'll just make me look guilty!
[and she doesn't want to go on the run]
no subject
[But he's never really been a fan of that either.] And you don't now? You're not that dense, Violet. [Greed lowers his arm to the side and the 'Shield shivers down. Not gone, just in waiting. Cuffing his wrist in smears of rectangular edges. He shoves the other into his pocket, rotating his thumb around to slip in a belt loop.] Unless you've got another idea, it's not like you've got a lot of choices.
[The homunculus slides his foot up, knocking his heel against the opposing ankle. This would be easy in any other circumstance. He knows how prisons work, how law and order is passed down. But here, there's a difference - it would stir a lot more trouble than it was probably worth for starters.]
[As for the other thing - ] Sounds like you're not the only one. [The network has been a chatter ever since the arrests started flooding in. He had caught a few words between the lines and it all boiled down to the same thing: it wasn't them. Even though all arrows pointed otherwise.]
[Greed closes the gap between him and the iron.] So what's your plan, then? If doing this doesn't work? [He's close enough to have his boots touching; to have his face practically a hair away from the iron separating him form his.] I told you before - I always take care of what's mine, Violet.

when she does enter the room, it isn't with the disdain she'd give a stranger or disappointment she'd give a closer friend, violet's right in that area of reserved judgement and curiosity. someone she's inclined to look after already, but hasn't formed any strong expectations for. ]
It's been a while since I've seen one of these rooms, but it seems to be going about a lot lately. Thought you could do with some company.
[ she sets her bag down next to her as she shifts her weight to the other foot. ] So. How did it happen?
no subject
What do you mean going about a lot? Who else is in jail?
[she's not answering Kanaya's question just yet]
no subject
[ but that was all entirely his fault, except for the little bit that may have been hers. she's not about to mention that.
instead she picks up her bag and pulls out a few books. they're all paperbacks, harlequin level trash romance, supernatural romance in particular. ]
I brought you a few things. Thought you might could do with something to read, but I didn't know what sort of books you like. So I, uh, brought some of my own.
no subject
Thank you. I'll take just about anything right now.
[she picks up on of the trashy romance and flips it to the back so she could read the summary. It makes her grin]
Really?
no subject
A bit. Some of them may be partially imaginary, but it will be difficult to distinguish which parts.
[ she looks down in her bag again. ] I brought you a sandwich too, but they weren't as receptive about wearing gloves while searching it as I would have liked.
