WHO: Inumuta, Gamagori, Sanageyama + OTHER POTENTIAL ROOMMATES??
WHERE: Kill La Kill house
WHEN: Backdated to Tuesday/Wednesdayish.
WHAT: Houka did a bad thing and now he has to say sorry.
WARNINGS: Violence (in the form of someone being beat up, and someone being whipped) SO... yeah.
Houka arrives back at the shared apartment, fully aware of what he must do. Per Gamagori's permission, he intends to apologize for his actions. Mostly to Gamagori and Sanageyama, but really, to anyone who's there to listen. In some way or another, he knows he's said or done something awful to his roommates, and it took that time in solitary confinement to really get that through to him. He had to be better. They deserved better.
Inumuta sends a look to Gamagori when he steps inside, the other nodding at his arrival, knowing full well what he plans to do, and takes a seat on the living room couch. Sanageyama joins him as well, kicking his feet onto the coffee table by said couch. Anyone who happens to be in the apartment at the time is free to sit in, it's not as if Inumuta minds. He is a proud individual, but not so proud that he'd be too embarrassed to apologize to someone who he thought he ought to apologize to.
Once the two are on the couch, Inumuta begins.
"I messed up. That much is obvious. Aside from getting caught, I did this without speaking to either of you. I thought I could handle it. I didn't think this would be a big deal, a simple information gather. It obviously wasn't. I underestimated what I was up against, and I'm lucky that I was let off easily. If this had been a more dangerous situation, things would not be so fortunate, I'm sure." Inumuta pauses, looking over both of their facial expressions, and continues. "I was reckless. I thought of no one but myself, rather than thinking of us as a team. I'm sorry for not telling either of you what I was doing until it was too late, and for failing to get us more information. I resign to whatever punishments the two of you intend for me."
He bows deeply and rigidly.
"Please forgive me, Gamagori and Sanageyama."
And that's how you lose with dignity, Sanageyama.

THREAD FOR GAMAGORI - placeholder
Thank you, babe.
He knows Inumuta by now. His habits, how he tends to issues, finds out answers. It's good he's so adept at it, they need someone like him, especially here. What isn't like Inumuta is being caught so easily. But this place, these people, they obviously have much more control over them then they realize, though perhaps it is much more apparent now how much. But even being caught is not the reason for his stern expression, despite being a usual for him or not. The reason this apology is necessary is something completely different. Something he is offended by, that Inumuta hadn't even considered until he finally spent that time alone.
It's too late to let it go by now, though the apology deserves his full attention, his silence, and he allows the other man to speak as he stands tall with his hands folded neatly behind his back.
"Inumuta, your apology is heard but I doubt you realize how important this issue is." He closes his eyes, ignoring anyone else around them as he speaks.
"You've done what is expected, looked to find, chased after things you didn't know if you could catch, and for that I thank you. You do not need to apologize for your instincts on that regard. But!" Opens his eyes, brows pinching at the center and furrowed.
"A dog that runs free will not be found if no one sees him run." Moves a hand to that new addition to his belt, a whip looped there neatly. "What would we have done if they'd taken you without our knowledge of how, or why!? Did you really THINK you could do this alone!? Are you still such an independent fool!?" Lips purse, goes quiet after, a moment.
"Turn around."
no subject
"My independence isn't what caused this," Inumuta begins, his frown becoming a thin line. "It was pride." He shrugs his jacket off his shoulders, folding it in his arm and placing it on the couch. He does the same for his undershirt, because if there's one thing worse than getting whipped, it's getting fabric caught in the wounds. After both his shirt and jacket are off, Inumuta turns around away from Gamagori. He drops to his knees and sits on his heels, keeping his hands on his knees.
"... I'm ready."
no subject
"Pride is what kept you from keeping us properly informed?" His tone bitter, but he doesn't move again for now, staring down at him, appreciates how quickly and efficiently Inumuta moved after his words without question. Can see the other man means his apology, but simply saying so isn't enough.

"Have you learned nothing from your time with us? Under our Lady Satsuki? Or has leaving your post made you forget what role you play, who you are important to you, who you are now a part of!?" Yelling, but not too loud, they are still inside. More of that heavy tone.
"Who are you!? What is your title?! Where is your allegiance?!"
no subject
He knows better than that, though. Fear and crying will get him nowhere.
"My name is Inumuta Houka! My position at Honnouji Academy is the Information and Strategy Committee Chair of the Student Council! My allegiance is to Lady Satsuki, and Lady Satsuki only! I haven't forgotten!!" Even if Gamagori isn't yelling as much as he could be... Inumuta sure is. Like seriously, reaching the upper limits of his vocal cords here.

He listens, watches, feeling his own heart quicken listening to Inumuta's words and purses his lips. This is- sad, them being here is sad. Being away from their world, their people, friends and family, superiors... Lady Satsuki, his mother. And he'd be a liar to deny thinking of Mankanshoku and her family at times. But perhaps Gamagori having more people to remember and lock onto has made it easier for him to remember what they all are as well, where they all belong. He knows Inumuta has less people to cling to though-
Doesn't that make them all the more important to eachother?
"Remember that! Remember who you are, where you belong! And NEVER forget who stands at your sides, who stands behind you, who guards your front! Know that all we do and all I do is out of love for you!" Crack!!

And by best we mean worst.
So, Starscream is lurking in the doorway, video camera in his hand, filming the apology. This was absolutely hilarious and absolutely pathetic. Working as a team? How ridiculous. The strong survived by taking charge. That was how it worked on Cybertron, that was how it was going to work here.
"Say the bit about you being reckless one more time," Starscream interjected, nasty smirk on his face, video camera visible. "Just for posterity's sake. After all, I'm sure it's not every day that you admit that you were wrong."
hahaha omggg
But, he's humbling himself right now. Flying into a rage at the idea of being recorded won't get him anywhere. He has to be smart about this. Giving another bow to Sanageyama and Gamagori, he then directs his attention to Starscream, speaking slowly and intentionally. He starts to walk towards the other with a bit of a menacing aura, continuing "I was reckless. I didn't think through my actions as carefully as I should have."

"Theeeere we go. And look, we've got it recorded, for posterity's sake." He moved the video camera down, giving Inumuta a look that plainly said he was having a great time. "You're right, by the way. You didn't think your actions through at all."

"What was that for?!" he screeches, glaring daggers at his housemate.

"My apology was genuine, and your mocking was not appreciated. Just because I'm sorry doesn't mean I'm too pitiful to know when I'm being made fun of." He finishes deleting the video footage- along with anything else that might have been on there, sorry bro- and he holds out the camera. "You can have this back now."

"Apology accepted. I'm sure whatever Gamagori has in mind will be fine, so I won't suggest anything extra, as far as punishment goes. You seem genuinely penitent anyway. Good enough for me."
no subject
Inumuta sighs, relaxing a little. "Thanks."
no subject
Oh sorry he meant any punishments on top of that. Whoops.

He shrugs.
"Besides, this'll stick more than anything Gamagori will do to you. Giving in early will do more harm than good."

Have you ever seen Inumuta look quite so... horror-stricken?
