Late April Catch-All
WHO: Danny and Anyone
WHERE: All the cities
WHEN: Anytime in Late April
WHAT: Exploring the cities
WARNINGS: Watch out for puns
A. It had been a month since he'd arrived here. Again.
Danny figured it was about time he got out of Nonah and got to know some of the other cities. And how better to do it than from the air?
In one city after another he takes his time flying at the level of the rooftops, mapping out the streets and keeping an eye our for anything interesting.
B. Danny was in no hurry to get anywhere. He takes his time exploring as a ghost, occasionally even flying low enough to be easily spotted by people on the street.
If he was really lucky, he'd survive the entire trip without getting on the wrong side of any ghost hunters. And if not? Well is someone started shooting at him at least he'd know they were there.
C. Occasionally he changes back into a human to explore the cities in a more traditional way. On foot. He can sometimes be caught hanging out in parks or getting lunch at local fast food places.

Heropaaaaa
Did he say end? Maybe not. Because at this point, Max was pretty sure he was caught in a möbius strip of waiting in a shack of tantalizing smells behind the jerk in line who would never, ever let him have it.
Behind the counter, the girl at the register meekly shied away from the problem customer, looking visibly frightened and uncomfortable as she quietly apologized for this and that and whatever horrible crimes had been committed against his burger -- which, Max noted, was nearly completely eaten.
After a solid minute of nonstop verbal abuse, hungry and sick of the guy's attitude, Max chimed in just as the man asked how she could get his order wrong — "Hey, maybe she doesn't speak asshole!"
The man whirled, and Max suddenly had second thoughts about getting on the bad side of a college-age beach bodybuilder, but he'd bluffed his way out of bad situations before. Fake it 'til you make it, right?
Max turned to the black haired teen standing right behind him in line. "It's all about tone. He's got a very thick asshole accent, probably from the Entitled Jerk region, don't you think?"

On the other hand, he never missed a chance to give a jerk a hard time. He raises an eyebrow at the jerk as he starts to play along.
"I don't know, sometimes its hard to tell entitled jerk apart from jerky loser."

Yeah, beach bodybuilder wasn't looking too happy. That was quickly confirmed when the dude grabbed Max by the shirt; Max was quickly having several regrets, but he was nothing if not a master at masking his panic. If he can face down Skullmaster without dissolving into panic, keeping his cool against this is nothing at all.
Max raises his eyebrows and offers a flat smirk, disguising his panic with practiced ease. "Hey, and he's assaulting children! We're three for three so far!"

"Seriously? Are you actually trying to be a cliche?"
The kid at least seemed to be doing okay. Or at least he hadn't lost his sense of snark. That was nearly the same thing.
But honestly? Danny was so 100% done with dealing with bullies. Sometimes he swore they all followed the same script.
"Look, how about you put him down, you get your food, and we all go our own ways having learned some kind of valuable life lesson. Or something."
Maurita Falls
No, what was really throwing him out of sorts was the fact that he couldn't let lose KID. KID was not just a means to an end - finding Pandora, making his father's murderers pay - but it was an outlet as well. For all the magic and creative juices that he couldn't let go as Kuroba Kaito, meager Ekoda High student. Honestly, if he thought about it, Hattori was the only one he could really be himself around, 'cause he was the only one that honestly knew, even though he suspected Conan knew. Again.
This was the reason why he was standing on the roof of one of the buildings, cape flowing up in the wind behind him as he surveyed the city below, the white making him a beacon against the darkness of the night.
Re: Maurita Falls
Danny floats down to the rooftop, well aware of the way his ghostly luminescence made him glow brighter in the darkness. He waits for a moment to be noticed, then speaks up.
"Um, beware?"
no subject
KID doesn't start when he hears the voice, instead looking over and 'hmmm'ing quietly. "I don't recall seeing ghosts among my supposed super powers that I supposedly received when I arrived here." Then he glances down. "Although, you still have your feet, so perhaps not all ghost?"
no subject
"Um, not sure what feet have to do with being a ghost. But I can fix that."
With a twist of concentration his feet blur together into a ghostly tail.

"I've been like this for a while. The porter didn't make me any more of a ghost than I already was."

[Yes, he'd still been a hero back then. Danny had had some very interesting public relations problems back home. ]

"Okay, so the guy who wants my pelt is actually a ghost. He just likes to think he's the ghost zone's greatest hunter. And apparently I make a good challenge."
