[ She's getting the sense Dorian is never going to let her live that incident down. She doesn't know if hitting someone with a car is worse than the potato incident back home right now. ]

P-plus they have machines for anything that might be a little more complicated, though still very ease to use!

[brushoff]

[ don't worry Sasha, if Dorian eve learns about the potato incident, he'll tease her about THAT instead. ]

Thank God for modern technology! Preventing ourselves from killing each other one tool at a time.

Nobody can die from a sewing needle! Ahahaha!

Well yeah, but given the right application, sewing needles can cause a lot of pain.

[ Sasha's hands clasp together tightly with excitement and out of the corner of her mouth she... oh yeah, she's drooling a bit. ]

I will pass by for certain! And I will tell everyone else about it so they know, too!

[Alison laughs a little at her enthusiasm, she can't help it!]

If enough people give your name as a reference, I suppose I'll just have to send you a gift basket of baked goods as a thank you!

[ She can't control herself any longer; she lets out a small, delighted scream. ]

I'll do my best!! Thank you, thank you! You know how to run the perfect business!

[She has a feeling she's going to have to live up to that promise of baked goods.]

... ah.

[ Her expression continues falters once more thinking back to that month. ]

That month was... [ She bites her bottom lip before looking over Enid. ] Were you alright? It was a scary month for all...

[She eyes Sasha's expression for a half second when it falters, her own expression diming a little before she nods. It was a particular scary month for them all, that much she can agree on...]

I came out alright. [She was a nervous wreck on the inside, brainwashed and then tricked by Carl to be un-brainwashed, but the point that stands is that she survived. As horrible as all of it was, the fact she survived is really all that counts, she reminds herself.

Of course this isn't sort of the thing where you share exactly how you feel with a new face, so she is kind of giving Sasha the positive spin. The side of the story she thinks the other girls wants/needs to hear, even if she is traumatized by it as much as everything else that happened in her world.]

I survived. [She says.] It's what counts, right?

[ She had only fared well because she had given in to the brainwashing, a fact that leaves her feeling ashamed. Sasha sometimes goes over it in her head, telling herself she should have been stronger, resisted more, etc. Then maybe she wouldn't be left with these strange thoughts. ]

That's right. We're still here.

[ That matters, too. ]

... Carl thinks they will come for us again. The Russians. Do you think so?

[Enid just feels lucky to have gotten out of it and not hurt someone "for Russia" or whatever nonsense they had drilled in her brain at the time. Thankfully most of it she can hardly recall and she truly lives with knowing she didn't hurt anyone, over and on top of surviving.

The comment about Carl brings her expression down a little more, as she nods in response. As much as she didn't want to be pessimistic about things anymore since growing a little back from home (and was trying to just stay positive), she can't help but agree with Carl's idea.]

...Probably. If there's one thing people will always do, it's that they'll try again.

Did he? I don't think I can imagine Dorian in plaid... he's so fancy.

[ She's not all too bothered by the idea of someone else dressing up similarly to her in all honesty. Now she's a bit excited to see Dorian later, if she does run into him. ]

I hope Will gets to see him, too.

I doubt he'll leave FanPort without Will seeing his costume!

[Because the fact that Dorian is an asshole hasn't escaped him, no.]

What about you, have you seen Will already?

[ She nods. ]

Mm! He wasn't dressed up, though.

[ Because Will is just as buff as Jeff, haha! (She hopes Jeff never brought up that comment she made back then.) ]

[There go the eyebrows. (Of course not, their house is a safe space!)]

You think? [He takes a second to glance down, bowing one leg out awkwardly.] What, get a wig, one of her dresses? Would I have to shave, too?

[He barely shaves his face. Shaving his legs seems like a nightmare.]

[ Sasha steps back for a moment, sizing Will up and rubbing her fake stubble in consideration. ]

Mm... and the eyeliner, too. But you could do it! [ A beat. ] Um, you could wear black stockings! Shaving takes too long sometimes...

Um, very good!

[ Though she isn't flailing about as much anymore, Sasha is still bopping her head and tapping her toes against the hard floor to the beat of the music. The music is so loud she can feel it reverberating all the way down her chest. Her temple is beginning to buzz, but if she suspects an oncoming headache she knows Reggie is around here somewhere and he probably has one of those pills he can spare. ]

Do you like this kind of music and dancing?

(wendy bops her head rhythmically along with the music as she watches everyone else go crazy on the dance floor.) Oh yeah, totally, Mabel would start random dance parties for no reason back home. They were awesome. And it's not really like anybody cares how you dance.

I suppose you never need a reason for that!

[ This isn't necessarily her kind of music or scene, more fond of folksy and calmer music, but the energy is contagious that she can't help but continue to bop her own head. ]

[ Superheroes have code names, costumes, cool weapons, and most importantly, didn't kill people, right? A lot of them are ordinary people or already have occupations far from being a superhero. ]

Superheroes have cool origin stories and costumes! And they say cool lines like... "You can run, but you can't outrun justice!" or something like that.

I have a cool costume, but I don't think I even have an origin story besides being from Mars. And we don't really have time to yell cool things when we fight bad guys. Unless you're like Kid Flash or Robin.

[ Sasha has so many questions and no idea where to start and it shows in her eyes. ]
