WHO: Shinjiro Aragaki, and others! WHERE: Quite a few places! WHEN: Mid to late December WHAT: Just a quick catch-all log for the end of December! WARNINGS: None foreseeable. Will update should that get changed.
[It was a strange thing, their relationship now. In most ways, it wasn't any different from how it had always been. They cared about eachother a lot, though in their own ways, and it'd stay like that. But Shinjiro still was his "girl", right? His "boy", his whatever, he was his lover ontop of the near brotherly bond they've always had. So he should treat him more like that person to him, right? Even with all their fighting and Akihiko's willingness to punch Shinjiro in the face when he deserves it, he still should worry like a boyfriend should. And he did, especially when anything did happen to Shinjiro.]
[Honestly... boyfriend or not? After what happened to him back home... There was no way he could not worry now.]
I guess that's meant to be part of the experience, the cold air outside and the steam inside a sauna? Someone said something about jumping into a freezing lake after you've sat around the steam long enough. [And he's grinning at the idea, that sort of grin that says he'd be all up for that in a heart beat.]
You said you slept in today, right? [So that means they don't have to sleep in again... But, with a further look at Shinjiro and some noticeable gears turning in Akihiko's head, he'll reconsider.] So... you'll want to sleep in again tomorrow, we're here to relax... right?
[A nervous sort of half cocked smile, his hands rubbing a little into Shinjiro's bony hips before he pulls his head away from his finally.]
I can sleep in with you then too this time. A late breakfast maybe? [Is he hitting the nail on the head here... he's trying. Try to think as Shinjiro, uuhh... be as lazy as possibly, sleep in, late breakfast.]
-A lake? [That sounds awful. And like the sort of thing he'd be stupid enough to go along with. But man-- after sitting around in a boiling hot room, immediately going out into frozen water? Sheesh, Aki, are you trying to train out of your ice weakness?] That can't be good for you... Then you just have to go warm right back up.
[And yet, between the grin on Akihiko's face, and his own trying to work through the logistics, he's pretty sure they're both going to end up in freezing water tomorrow.]
-Hey, it beats getting up at four in the morning. [And... sure, he does like sleeping in. But with an actual schedule now, he hasn't gotten to do it quite as often. Sure, school is on winter break right now, but he's still used to getting up early.] But I'm good with whatever. Might be best, give the sun time to actually get up.
[And-- maybe even just laze the hell around in bed. Something he enjoys, but between Akihiko's active tendencies and his own schedule, not something he has the luxury of doing an awful lot. His free hand moves down over Akihiko's forearm, resting it comfortably just above the other man's wrist.]
We can play it by ear. And if that sucks, we'll figure something out.
[At least by now the kettle has stopped hissing and spitting quite so badly- and while Shinjiro doesn't actually initiate pulling back, he does glance over to it, frowning slightly. Tea sounds good, but that means moving from the quiet contact they have going on.] ...Anyway, you eaten yet?
Yeah it wasn't up for a while today. My jog in the morning was near pitch black the whole time. I guess we could wait then for it to join us.
[Another small smile, coming to terms with the idea of lazing about tomorrow. But let's be honest here, just like they'll probably end up in a freezing lake, they probably won't end up actually sleeping in either. Akihiko will get up, whether he sets an alarm or not, he just won't get all the way up. There's things to do while still lazing around... right?]
[Another smile pulls over his face, turning his hand to meet the one at his wrist and squeezes at it before leaning in.]
No, not yet. I ordered room service though, from the service taking care of the cabins. We have a little bit till they show up. [And he'll finally pull back after that, if only to turn the stove off when the kettle begins to whistle.]
I ordered a few things, it's Italian if that's all right?
[Shinjiro wouldn't complain about that turn of events, at least. As nice as sleeping in is, half-asleep, lazily touching and kissing and more was absolutely fine too. Sex is definitely one of those things he'd never really bothered to care about back home- too much self-loathing, too much homelessness- and yet now it's just become a normal aspect of life.]
[And he'll reluctantly let go, letting Akihiko move to grab the kettle- and turning himself to at least find some mugs for it. He's not about to just let Aki do everything, after all.]
Italian's good. [As though Shinjiro would complain about most any type of food, so long as it was made well.] So far this place ain't disappointed yet, anyway. Here- [And he'll set the mugs down on the counter next to Akihiko, first one, then turning his hand for the other, where he'd grabbed them both by the handle with different fingers. See, he can do this left-handed thing well enough.
As the tea is poured, he moves in closer again, shoulders lightly touching.] ....I dunno if I said it yet, but this was a good choice. For a trip, I mean.
[Having their relationship become something more than 'just friends' came with a lot of changes, but still they managed to stay just as they always were despite it all. It was better like this though, and feeling even closer to Shinjiro, getting that time alone... and yeah, the sex? Well he was a healthy young man, and Akihiko liked exerting himself, he liked a rush. It made more sense to experience it with someone he felt so strongly about too.]
[And touching him, it was only another way he could keep Shinjiro cemented in his life. Being able to physically be with him after everything... there was a reason he often became handsy when they were alone together. Just like there was a reason he sometimes gripped onto him in the night and wouldn't let go.]
Thanks.
[A smirk, moving to pour for either glass, setting them up before he turned his head. Shinjiro standing that close- it was pretty easy to lead Akihiko if you wanted to. Feeling their shoulders brush made him want to lean in again, and he did, kissing at Shinjiro's shoulder as he set the kettle down.]
Yeah? I thought so too! It's been nice just to get away from everything. Sometimes- [He'll start, not knowing how to really say it. He moves a hand up, rubbing at the back of his own neck.]
Sometimes- I mean I get it now. Why you used to disappear. It's nice to get time to yourself. [Sure he didn't get as tired of people as Shinjiro seemed to, but he could get more annoyed at things. He cared a lot of their friends back home but with some much going on all at once, even when he kept up his own life and routine, it just felt good to get away from it all. It felt good to just be alone with someone.]
[There's a brief pause, and he wonders if he should correct Akihiko there or not. Because sure, he does tend to get tired of or annoyed with people- tends to want the space to do his own thing, to follow his own 'rules', as it were. But, of course, back home it had also been more complicated.
Sure, wanting to avoid people, to have his own space. But also just-- in hopes of being forgotten. To avoid hurting people even more than he already had. To keep his secrets and his burdens to himself. But the thought is sobering, and certainly not what he feels like dwelling on... especially if he starts to consider just how different he feels about it now, years after and an entire universe apart of the time and situation.
So instead- he just nods.]
Yeah. Especially with your nagging. [A slight, joking smile, and he bumps his shoulder back against Akihiko, before actually,/i> responding.]
But- you're right. If you never back off and take a breather, you're just gonna run yourself into the ground- physically, or mentally. [Especially with how reserved they both are about personal matters- always keeping up some sort of front, and so rarely ever letting it drop, even for one another. A bit self-consciously, he'll adjust the arm that's slung to his chest, changing where the strap rubs against his neck.]
[There wasn't a need to correct him, Akihiko knew there were other reasons to why Shinjiro would leave. He knew it was something deeper and more self loathing. But that really wasn't something he wanted to just pleasantly bring up here, so he didn't. He's just happy he doesn't do that anymore, or- that now when they do that, it can be like this... and he can be with him.]
[His brows furrow a little, lips tight.]
Do I really nag that much?
[Said before the bump which he responds with a nervous laugh and a much harder bump back.]
I wouldn't do that, there's too much at stake.
[Though, if Shinjiro really wanted to think into it, Akihiko was definitely shortening his own life span by fighting as much as he did. Boxers didn't really live long, healthy lives, and the later years were often full of definite mental set backs. Shinjiro's more right than he wants to be, and more right than Akihiko ever cares to think on.]
...Yeah? [A pause, glancing up and over to him.] Heh- really? You'd want to do that?
Well... less than you used to. [There's a dry sort of amusement to it, his voice staying level, but his lips unconsciously quirking up with each word. Really, it's likely more than Shinjiro hasn't been giving him as much reason to nag. Staying alive. Actually trying to get through with school. Slowly repairing things with Ken.
He sways with the retaliatory contact there- but, again, doesn't fully press his point. He knows Akihiko likes to keep active and always moving forward- no, he has to- but he can't help but always worry about him wearing himself out. Sure, there's all the dangers of boxing, but then there's always the constant curveballs thrown due to the nature of being imPorts.
And that ever-hovering, unspoken threat of loss that neither of them can fight.
So instead, he just nods, moving a step to avoid getting knocked too off-balance.] Good. I'm counting on you to keep me on track, after all.
[He'll reach out for the tea with his good hand, pausing just to blow a breath out onto the top of the hot drink.] And, yeah. I mean, it don't even gotta be big or far like this. It's just nice to get out and not gotta worry about everyday bullshit for a little bit.
[It's true, Shinjiro's really given Akihiko less reasons to bitch at him. If anything Akihiko's probably overbearing in another way. Not nagging, but asking for things a lot. But he likes his cooking, he likes going out with him and being around him. Having Shinjiro in his LIFE and alive are really important.]
Heh, no need. I'm not about to disappoint.
[A comment like that really gets a smile from him, one that's a little more cocky than before and he moves to grip at his hip and slide his hand down to grip at Shinjiro's butt. He'll squeeze there and dip in to kiss at his shoulder. Let's say it happens after Shinjiro drinks too, he doesn't want to burn the guy and he figures Shinjiro might startle slightly.]
[There's a bit of a surprised noise, sure- and he jerks a bit, just enough to make the hot tea in the mug sway, but not entirely tip over the sides. The kneejerk urge to curse at him is bitten back, though: after all, he's trying to be more comfortable with affection, and a bit less tsundere aloof about it.
Either way, with one hand occupied, and the other wrapped up and bound, he's helpless when it comes to either reciprocating or being belligerent- and so he simply tilts his head to the side and lets that kiss happen, brows creasing together at the groping.]
Hell, it was only half a day you were out. Don't tell me you missed me that much. [That said, he can still verbally give him shit.]
[Another slight laugh at that, blowing out a hot breath through his nose when Shinjiro opens up his neck for him. He kisses here again, holding it long enough to feel a heart beat under his lips before pulling back again. He'll stay close though, his hand still on his lower back, moving down, near the backs of his thighs.]
I can't miss you? I came here to be with you, didn't I? Maybe I don't regret laying around all day but I think I regret not laying around with you all day.
[A forward thing to say maybe, but he definitely could get there when he wanted to, especially when they've been together this long. Akihiko sure as hell didn't mind saying what was on his mind about everything else after all.]
[Short and to the point- but really, when aren't they? It was one of the many reasons they worked together so well, both as friends and lovers. Even more than that, it's much easier to relax and let that emotional guard down, alone and so far removed from everyone else.
So he'll reach out to put down the cup of tea (likely to be ignored and get cold,) and turn into that affection- His arm moving over Akihiko's shoulder and about the back of his neck. Shinjiro's fingers grasp at the fabric on the back of his shirt while he tugs in for another rough kiss- holding for a moment, teeth scraping over that chapped lower lip. When he pulls back, he'll let his head duck, temple resting against Akihiko's comfortably.]
[A laugh at that. Not out of time then, for more laying around he means? He doubts Shinjiro's being coy but part of him likes the idea. They've certainly gotten comfortable enough when they're alone, even if they still have their own personal hangups.]
[The pressure on his shoulders, the breath against his mouth- he'll kiss back, finding himself to really push back, to let it be rough, almost squeezes at him till he suddenly remembers Shinjiro's arm and lets him pull back instead. He still feels heat on his lips, and as per usual, his heart rate goes a little faster. It was pretty easy to spark that side of him, even after he let out all that energy outside.]
Okay, so then why don't we...
[A smile, tilting his head down slightly but keeping it against Shinjiro's. He'll grip onto a slim hip, the other moving up to pull off his hat so he can turn his face into his hair.]
