WHAT: A general interaction log for the month of August, including the aftermath of the August Swear-in.
WARNINGS: Obligatory Iron Bull warning here. Also a warning for Kaneda’s dumb teenager hormones and Tetsuo's general crazy.

[ He stays like that for a while, one hand gripping hers, the other on her face, murmuring reassurances, until it seems apparent that she’s calmed down. ]

Are you hurt?

[ She's-- She's not sure. She feels disoriented, and right now the residual fear that remains and the exhaustion seem to overpower everything else. So Kasumi tries to sit up, holding onto Charlie's arm for support, and that's when it becomes clear.

That between having struggled against and attacked by people (friend and stranger alike), she is definitely hurt.

She groans, and she squeezes Charlie's arm perhaps harder than she had meant to, biting down on her lip. ]

[ He’ll take that as a yes. ] Okay. It’s okay. Just relax, I’ve got you.

[ The wizard brings one arm around Kasumi’s back to support her, the other hooks under her knees. Carefully, oh-so-carefully, he lifts her from the ground, carrying her bridal-style into the house. He heads to his room, past where Kaneda lay sprawled on the couch, and gingerly sets her on the bed.

The bedroom door shuts with a wave of his hand. ] I can heal you, but I need to know what’s wrong.

[ She's quiet as he carries her to the room, and his question, she shakes her head. ]

I don't-- [ know. Not all of it, at least. She knows that her body is hurting and her head is splitting, but more importantly, that whatever the hell the gas is doing hasn't completely gone away. ]

The gas, it's still...

I know, I know. There's not much I can do for that. [ he doesn't know how yet.

But he reaches up, hand hovering on the edge of her hood ]

Can I take a look?

[ Kasumi gives a little nod of her head, but she reaches up with a hand and pulls her hood back herself. Charlie would find that she's looking a little worse for the wear. She has a few cuts on her face from broken glass and debris and struggling against people mindlessly going at her, but more than anything, it's apparent that she'd been bawling. Likely due to seeing Keiji again more than anything else. ]

[ His heart breaks when he sees the state of her, and for a moment, all he does is gather her up and hold her close. ]

You're gonna be okay honey. I promise.

[stealwithit]

[ Her body tenses up when he pulls her close at first, a residual impulse from the toxins. But with a better degree of awareness now, she lets her body fall into the embrace soon enough, and she weakly wraps her arms around him in return. ]

I don't know what I would have done if the Reapers--

[ Right. That... that wasn't real... or was it? ]

I don't know what I'd do without you.
