[OPEN] We're young hearts, look at us go
WHO: The residents of Nonah’s Ark (aka, Nonah 005) and YOU!
WHERE: Mostly around Nonah 005, but can be used for interaction with the Nonah’s Ark crew just about anywhere if you really wanted!
WHEN: The month of August.
WHAT: A general interaction log for the month of August, including the aftermath of the August Swear-in.
WARNINGS: Obligatory Iron Bull warning here. Also a warning for Kaneda’s dumb teenager hormones and Tetsuo's general crazy.
Starters will be appearing in the comments. If you want something specific from any one person (Charlie, Ken, Iron Bull, Kaneda, or Tetsuo), feel free to drop them a line and ask! Otherwise, feel free to add your own starters for the whole household or individual residents as you like.

[He tightens his gloves, though, making sure they're right and comfy on his hands before readying himself. He had no idea if his luck had to be triggered, or if it was automatic. But there was always one way to find out.]
Hold on a second, kid. Got one thing to do before we start.
[Yes, he's pulling out a coin from his pocket.]
Call it.
no subject
[Ken doesn't take much time to figure out what Kaneda's up to at least.]
Tails.
no subject
Repeating this for about five times.]
Heads.
Heads.
Heads.
Heads.
[A smirk as he pockets that coin.]
Looks like we're dealing with a stroke of good luck. You ready?

[Ken raises his hand, waiting for Koromaru to scamper off out of the way before he swings it down. It's the same as usual for him. A flick of his wrist is just enough to trigger it; a flash of light, a wave of electricity that ripples out from where he stands, and it always makes Ken's hair stand on end but the spear appears right in his hand. Ken's quick to adjust his grip, spinning it around a couple times and standing in a ready stance now.]
I'm ready.
no subject
It is an odd thing to see a ten year old wield, but at the same time, it looks oddly at home in Ken's hands.]
Alright.
[One more roll of his shoulders, he puts his fists up, looking for a way to attempt to disarm the boy. Figuring to test Ken's reflexes on him making the first move, he advances, closing the distance between the two to get melee attacks in. He knew spears were usually not meant for up close, after all.]
no subject
As much as he trusts Kaneda not to try to kill him on accident if he had any superstrength... he also does not want to be accidentally killed.]
no subject
So Ken was an agile fighter, he'd have to keep that in mind.]

going matrix on this shit
His feet pivot on his heel, and the moment he sees the butt of that spear heading towards him, his knees give a little, sending his upper body backward to dodge it, and only just barely.
JUST. BARELY.
His knees however, don't exactly give him much space to go from there, and he ends up falling on his back. Staring up.]
Whoa.
[a clever matrix joke here]
You're pretty fast, Kaneda-san. Here.
[He holds out his hand if Kaneda wants to take it to get up. Truce.]
no subject
He stares at the sky for a moment, before taking him up on that hand.]
I don't know how that happened. It's like...my knees gave out at the last second.
[He looks at his hands.]
Kinda lucky, don'tcha think?
[In a way, he still fell, and lost. But he's onto something here. He knows it.]
no subject
... A stroke of good luck. Is that it?
[If Kaneda went forward, Ken was going to pull the spear back. He'd only have to drop it and it would disappear into thin air. But they didn't have to.]
It'll keep you alive.
no subject
[He leans back up on his elbows, looking at Ken a moment before smiling.]
Good luck, but still fell on my ass.
[With a hoist, he lifts himself up again, rolling his shoulders.]
Ready for round 2?
no subject
[Ken steps back, letting go of his spear. It vanished like a hologram before it hits the ground, and he takes up the brush he left out instead. It's kind of ridiculous, but it's better for training.] Round two.
no subject
[Or...he hopes. His personal pride revolves around it. He tosses the hair out of his eyes, readying his arms as he watches Ken make that spear disappear. Slight confusion drapes over his expression as he laxes, wondering if Ken had decided that was enough.
A brush.
There's a look at the brush, and then a look at him.]
...Alright. Let's see how lucky I can get!
[Yeah, it clicked, and he's not going to wait for Ken to ready. The guy's going to have to deal with all kinds of fighters, and scrappers are going to be no different.]
no subject
The end of the scrub brush is heavy, but Ken still swings it pretty fast, twisting the handle around in his hands as he aims a swipe right for Kaneda's side.]
no subject
Or maybe he had it. But in a new form.
It doesn't last long--he's got to stick this if he wants to keep in this fight. But Kaneda's ready, seeing that swing come in from the side. His body pivots, back now facing the way the broom was being swung as he vaults over it, hand stretched out to try and grab it on his landing.
His fingers snag the broom handle on the opposite end, just as his legs come down, and pulls.]

The foot connects, feeling the kick into his shoulder and stumbling back, although not letting go of the broom for the life of him, instead, he twists it, hoping that the flow of motion was still going with Ken that he could pivot him around the pole and to the ground.]
no subject
He learned early on that he just didn't have the strength to win a tug-of-war like this, so when Kaneda pulls again and twists the pole, Ken doesn't fight it. He lets his body be yanked through the air, focusing just on keeping control so that when he he's about to land he can kick his feet out, hoping to catch one of Kaneda's shins with the heel of his sneakers.]
